    This was the best video on the Ford Fusion door handle replacement. Our's has been a very reliable and fun-to-drive car, and you made this repair simple. One suggestion: after removing the door panel, take a Sharpie thin marker and outline the position of the old door handle assembly; then, when you install the replacement, it will line up perfectly with the plastic door panel and finish piece.

    🏆🛠 This is how to make an exceptional DIY repair video. You have a steady camera, clear and simple step-by-step narration, and there is no annoying and distracting metal/rap/hip hop "music" blasting in the background-- a hallmark of the true amateur TH-camrs. Well done and I can now fix my broken Fusion's door handle.

    Thank you so much for your video. Your detailed explanation and clear video made this easy to repair. In fact, my 12-year-old son did it all with a little help removing the door from the clips. One of the larger clips was difficult to pry off. I actually used two wooden spoons to wedge it off. In another video, we watched it mentioned the part 81702 DORMAN. I’m glad you found yours for a few dollars. We bought ours on Amazon. We saved a lot of money having it done at the dealership, but not only that it was fun to do and your video was great.

    I’m having a real hard time getting the white part back in. You do it with ease between 4:00 and 4:12. Any tips? It’s like the cable isn’t long enough.

    • @jadehorizon1881
      @jadehorizon1881  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just make sure you hook the metal end in first, and then that white plastic piece should line right up to be snapped in. If not, you should be able to pull it back a little, although that will take a bit of force the cable is meant to extend out further. Let me know how that goes.

    • @dashoot99
      @dashoot99 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I appreciate the quick response but it’s not working for me. Only one finger width of cable is exposed and I can’t get it to stretch any further. Tried hitting the unlock button and that doesn’t help. It looks like you have two fingers width of cable exposed. I even tried putting on the old handle and there is t enough cable for me to to do that either :(
