For the price, it's fully proportional, has lights, locked diffs, offroady tires, and it definitely performed better than my WPL B36 when it was stock. I would buy this, do some minor upgrades and have a decent looking small crawler.
The MN82 would be better buy for less money lol
Your B36 has to be one of the very early ones. Newer WPLs drives fine out of the box.
@aces6262 i bought it last year and immediately had to upgrade the motor, transmission, and prop shafts.

It's a shelf queen for people that own a 1:1. If you can't go fast, you better crawl, if you can't crawl, you better drift. The car does nothing well other than look scale.
You could always donate them to less fortunate people that follow you
Agree qnd not only to followers. Any kid nearby which parents can't afford good toys would be very happy but i am sure Tommy already does his part.
Or they could just get a job and buy the RC cars like the rest of us people do. Asking for handouts is cringe. People are starving in the streets and you're asking for a free RC car. Less fortunate? Sorry but RC cars should not be a priority if someone is less fortunate. They should be focused on making more money and bettering their lives. I used to live on the streets broke. I never begged for money or food. I worked for it. The entitlement a person has to have to ask a working man for something free is just crazy to me. I would ask if I can do work for them to earn whatever I want from them.

@FarmerFpv no I am not asking I am suggesting a giveaway/comp if he doesn't want them but I guess you won't enter if he does decide to do one but there are also people who can't work!! Why is it always get a job and buy one not everyone can work! It would be like someone saying you aren't disabled so you can't shop here or use this maybe just maybe you think less about yourself and more about people who can't work and do things and allow them a chance to do the hobby
@@MrPulsardan exactly and many work full time jobs and still don't get enough for basic needs! It depends on the country economy / social situation and many other factors. It is not only a case that if you work more you can get that! That is the reason why donations and volunteer work exhist, to help those who need, not necessarily only the lazy ones!

I can see how this rc can have its place, in the sense of someone wanting a display model car like a diecast, but to make it rc and proportional steering. But yes its more of novelty item rc and display model, should lower the price maybe idk
The only good thing about it is the bodyshell, but it's still not worth $50. These companies need to realise that slow proportional speed control is the only way forward.
They may have got your address from the Companies House website as you're registered as a business in the UK. Very easy to find.

Here's an idea.
Buid a data base of small RC channels that are still growing and everytime you have an email asking them to send you a car, have it sent to another channel.
That's the spirit mate, sending u rc cars for free 😂

to be fair that performed pretty well outside. be a good body to transfer to a hobby grade chassis, my 3 year old would love something like that
I have one of these... I like it, but i agree that it's not the greatest. I do have plans for mine though to make it a little more streetable as well as light trail rig. Open front diff, 380 motor, new rear suspension, wheels, and 3D printed body all in the works

It’s great for kids not really grown up’s, when I was young I got introduced into rc with the tyco turbo hopper went about or maybe a bit faster than this so maybe for a kid starting out it’s really not that bad. 🤷🏽♂️
Fair points Phil. You have put in the time and work to have earned the right to review what you and your viewers want to see. I have been a subscriber for years now and can't tell you how happy I am to see your success. I personally miss the WPL builds because you helped get me addicted to them. Honestly, the body looks good in the video I guess from far away looks. The RC could be used in those scale festivals with all the different cars driving around like trucks dump trucks bulldozers semi trucks. It could be one of the vehicles that are just put in the background lol

Hey, Phil what is the size of the Range Rover toy... There is a big market of people taking the Rastar 1/14 and convert them to hobby grade to use on their 1/14 scale layouts.
What load pap that is it's like something you get from Argos or a supermarket at Christmas you could always donate it to a nursery with some other one's like it you have been sent

What a waste of raw materials that thing is. Mind you, I used to buy New Bright for the bodies, and was astounded at how crappy some of the cars themselves were, geared for speed, intrinsically flawed suspension geometry, etc. Compared to them, this is quite decent!
If they pay attention to your videos, they would have known that these are not the kind of vehicles you do reviews on. I understand being sent stuff you're not interested in is a bit of a nuisance, it just generates work/garbage for you, and you had zero interest in the rig you drove.
You follow your rc passions, which is why you are excited when you get something to review you actually wanted. Its why I'm subbed to both your channels, you tell it like it is, and the honesty is appealing.
Keep up the great work, I dont see you as a complaining karen, and you're allowed to pick and choose what you wish to review and work on.
There's a lot worse things to turn up unexpectedly than RC cars 😂

I can understand about being sent something without asking. The SUV doesn't seem all that bad for a toy, though. Compared to a Wal-Mart RC, it seems fine.
This type of product with fairly decent scale realistic body, detailed interior, entry-level but fully proportional electronics, rechargeable battery, basic performance but attractive pricing is very prevalent in the RC vehicle industry today. Just look at WPL, MN, SG, HG, JJRC, WL Toys, etc. Of course, they have performance limitations but for someone who wants a product better than toy grade that can be used inside or light use outside, they are a great choice. Not everyone just getting into RC goes straight for a 100+ GBP product. The demand for products like this LDRC is huge. Or maybe the almost 50k views to date were just there to see you rather than the car? If you have looked at true toy grade RC cars recently with their non-proportional controls, AA batteries and vastly inferior performance, the products made by LDRC and all the others look amazing value.

50 bucks for that black...Thing that want to be a jeep? I'm not saying anything but not long ago "real" sold pretty much the same thing for 29,90€ (and even that was to expensive for me for what i get) The box was another but it certainly made the same sounds and pretty much looked like that.

Just give them someone, you don't have to, review them if you don't like want, and you can always refuse delivery or dump it. I get that it's annoying and can't take everything
