It continues in society that is dominated by liberal ideas that try to force everyone to be the same. It’s really an issue of control.
    Even our diets have changed.
I’m old and was never a conformist. I was fortunate to have a father who fought in WWII and was a great male role model. I learned to be self reliant, and at ease with my masculinity.

In part, there may be a lack of calm, collected, guiding figures in popular culture that represent the "father". We're sort of a sports-obsessed culture which celebrates the "warrior", the "gladiator". Gladiators might be scary to some women and girls. My role model are the stoics, Marcus Aurelius. If society celebrated "father philosophers" more than warriors, we might see a different kind of masculinity resurgent. My feeling is, in China, they still celebrate the philosopher as a type of manliness. In the West, we seem obsessed with biceps. Question is: what kind of masculinity are we talking about?

    • @aaronj849
      @aaronj849 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

We should celebrate hybrid masculinity that encompasses not just a warrior build, but also an intellectual and wise one. What ever happened to admiring true polymaths? Aristotle served in the Greek military, laid down the foundations of philosophy and other areas of knowledge and went humbly into his execution. There are men that are not just great warriors, but also great thinkers. These are what you call self-actualized men. If only this type of masculinity was the one society recognized. "Make civilized the mind. Make savage the body."

We also allow "transgenders" in our military and some even are in high command and you can be dishonorably discharged if you don't call them the "correct" gender. Our federal police have gone the same way also. Most millennials my age also are far-left and have talking points straight out of The Communist Manifesto. This is why I Love your channel Bjorn, you speak truth with your Love for nature and biggest of all, integrity and respect! And I always crave bacon and it always looks so good from the open fire. I usually have a cup of coffee when I watch but still your chocolate coffee always looks better. In America during the revolution there was a saying, which was also on flags, "DON'T TREAD ON ME"! I had a picture of a rattle snake with these words. It was used by independent men and women as well. Today you have men in their suits sitting by a computer, a fancy car and a beautiful home. It's about money and not independence. But there are still many and some still fly the flag, Don't Tread On Me! They try to make everyone the same, to brainwash the into believing to be good consuming slaves. But it seems more and more people are waking up to all this false narrative. Waking up to their connection to Mother Earth and eachother. The bad ones are getting exposed for what they are and hopefully, will pay for their crimes against humanity. I believe this is happening all over the world, though the fakestream media doesn't report it because they are sacred. In this awakening the Truth is coming out. Many know something is way out of balance and beginning to see the Light of Truth and Integrity. Thank You Most Kindly for your words and thoughts. And for bringing the reality of Nature to All, which is what we all are. Some have lost their connection and others are beginning to find it again. I live in the woods and am surrounded by the balance and see myself as part of it all, not separate. You know what I say here and you find Peace within. Hi Bjorn from Adelaide South Australia. I like your videos. I lost my father to suicide when I was in my early 20's. He was abusive to our family. My wife lost her father to cancer around the same time. It is only now at 35 that I am properly taking control of my own life again. My family and I are now downsizing and moving to the coast where we can fish and hunt and live free from insurmountable debt in the inner-city suburbs. I have seen too many co-workers, friends, and family crushed by debt and stress because they have no time. My aim is to keep working my current city desk job until we move and I can drop to working only 3 days per week. We will still have more money than we do now by downsizing and reducing our debt to barely one-third of what it is now by Easter time, if all goes according to plan between now and then. Thank you for the videos which have provoked much thought for my family and I. Most of all I will have more time to fish, play with my kids, exercise, eat healthily, and hunt deer and rabbits and teach these skill to my kids. I can also teach them how to cope better in the modern world and to avoid the mistakes I have made. It's insane to work so much you work to pay other people to raise your kids. Who needs more debt to have bigger better stuff, when all that stuff makes you miserable, tired and old?

Wood shop and Metal shop and replaced them with "Home Economics I.E. cooking, sewing and Computer Labs...... Is it any wonder that the Modern Male is confused? I am done trying to teach other people's children what it means to be a Man. I raised my own children. Yes, there are too many single Mothers raising Boys. Boys at least need Mentors who are Men. We now have a generation of "Mommies Boys" who sit in front of Computer Screens playing video games.....It's actually quite sad. I'm heading back to my shop, I can't take it any more! LOL

My father left me and my family when I was around 3 years old and hasn't made any attempt to contact us since, we see him walking around sometimes and doesn't make any eye contact, I will be 17 in March so becoming a better man than he was has been a very important quest for me but I've been struggling with how to be a man to begin with but watching your videos has helped me a lot! So thanks (:

I feel for you, that’s not an easy situation especially that you see him sometimes. Part of me feels like you should at least maybe approach him (as you may not really know his side of things), but then the other part of me thinks if he was anything like a genuine father he would have always made the effort to be a part of your life (even if he would have still left) as relationships do break down and people end up separating, with the children always being the ones who suffer.
If it were me I would probably speak to him at least once so I know for sure, the one thing I do know is that life is short and often you don’t get second chances.
I say that as a son and a father, so can see both sides of this.
But at the end of the day it’s up to you...

My comment just got deleted by youtube, I guess. So I'll keep it shorter this time. Men focus on giving women (and theselves and other men) comfort and safety in today's society. That has it's own problems, which we are seeing now, where masculinity is sacrificed in order to make everyone even more "comfortable" in a world that is already drowning in comfort and safety.
And to hell with youtube for deleting my comment.

TH-cam deleting comments is not honorable, especially when you can still see your own comment but others cannot. Their whole way of dealing with controversy is a lie, but then these dishonorable tech companies don't have a problem with lying to users.

I was manly, but then I allowed myself to be changed, all in the desire to fit in.
Since then, I've been through a lot of problems, losing myself, becoming very anxious.
And today I struggle to get back on track.
So I want to say to everyone, don't let them change you

Look at the ‘action’ movies with a female tough guy. They want us to really believe it instead of thinking simply how good she looks pretending.

    • @-whackd

Try a martial art like wrestling or boxing instead of watching action movies. Watching an action movie is only masculine in the same sense that growing a big beer gut is masculine.

duke1duke1 True, and when replaced by a female it becomes as masculine as Charlie’s Angels. It’s entertainment not a sport and is being used to remove any masculine thoughts. All male superheroes are replaced with female or gay Green Hornet types. It’s all about removing male influence.

I am a widow, independent, can hold my own, and do not mind being a loner. I would like to find a partner, but he has to be masculine and made out of integrity. This type of man seems rare these days, but they are out there somewhere and I am patient 😉

it's easy. Western men and boys begin their emotional castration as early as kindergarten. The left control the school systems. Masculine traits are a threat to what the left has in store for the west. Masculine men will fight. In order for the left to destroy the west the men must be gelded and feminized. Look at poor sweden. A once orderly and peaceful society thrown into chaos......and the men, gelded, don't fight back.

I'm a millennial and I was lucky enough to have a gym teacher who actually laughed at me [In a very good way] because I stood up for myself from one of my bullies that I punched in the back. He didn't punish me or anything, he just laughed because he knew I was a person who wouldn't do that unless greatly provoked. This was only like 15 years ago but now most teachers would suspend you for defending yourself, what with all the "wear a pink shirt to end bullying" nonsense that allows kids to be victimized and to be dependent on authority... Then they wonder why a kid doesn't want to go to school if they can't do anything about a bully and they end up skipping school, killing themselves, or shooting up a school

    •  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@finkamain1621 yes. You aren't allowed to display any masculine traits at all, even to fight back. The left destroy everything they touch.
