    Great new one from Fuse. Used it already on a guitar Stem, a single track (tape-stop automation) and on a 2-bus chain. Very comfortable no-brainer with a great sound action and destortion tone. Keep em coming :) Cheers

    Hi, I also have several Tape Plug Ins from Softube, (my favorite), and all the Waves tape plug-ins. All of these plug-ins are great, but at some point in May 2020 I got fed up with plug-ins in general and tape plug-ins even more. So I bought quite a bit of hardware, from compressors and EQs to saturation.
    In January of this year I bought an old Akai tape machine from 1975. Then I had it overhauled and measured. And I've only been using the real Akai tape machine ever since. The plug-ins are really good, but they can't hold a candle to a real tape machine. Even if my Akai is 1/4 inch, the sound, the imperfections, the saturation can't give me a tape plug-in.
    So if you want real tape feel and saturation, you might as well consider buying a real tape machine. Because many of them are affordable. Only the possible maintenance work could cost something. But that is also still within the scope.
    But I also liked the video a lot. 👍

      Thank you! Glad you liked the vid! I have given thought to finding a tape machine. I actually think that would be a fun video. Comparing a plugin to the real thing. Now I just need to get my hands on a tape machine ;)

      @@LonelyRocker Hello, thanks for your feedback.
      I can only encourage you to try a real tape machine. Depending on the manufacturer and condition, you can get them relatively cheap. In addition, of course, the right strap material, which can also be bought used or new. It's just different from a plug-in. It's a lot of fun to work with.
      In April I made a short video about my converted home studio, and I produced the song especially for it. That was the first song I produced with my Akai. The track was mainly mixed with the hardware shown in the video and of course the Akai tape machine.
      I don't want to spam you with this, so if you don't want the link I'll remove it.

      Tape effects can be subtle when you’re not looking to create big distortion effects. Listen closely for some clarity coming into the track. You can really notice it in the drums on cymbals and the snare drum. Use good monitors or headphones to really hear it.

    Thanks for showing us the plugin, but your listening examples are a joke. Level compensation is the first rule for A B listening and your plugin has more gain on the output.

    • @LonelyRocker
      @LonelyRocker  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I had a level meter on the screen for some of the examples to show that is not the case. Perhaps you didn't pay attention to that.

      @@LonelyRocker Perceived loudness is more important than what meters show you. you dont live inside a computer :)

    • @LonelyRocker
      @LonelyRocker  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I was prepared for this type of comment. I always get one or 2. It's a plugin demo and there is a free trial. I did a real time demonstration and offered a couple of real world examples. A loudness meter is not going to influence the video or viewer. That's what a hands on trial is for....

      I think Patrick needs a timeout .. ya let's bash someone who takes time to bring people that are to lazy to go do things for themselves.. dont like the way he does things? Easy fix go the fuck somewhere else lol
