Btw, for those of you who find it as irritating as me, you can disable the spinning of the reels by just clicking on them. Always nice to have a plugin of the week video of a plugin that i am just testing myself at the moment. very informative as usual!
Sweet video as always Mike. What i miss from most tape emulations is a sidechain filter in order to experiment while leaving subbass untouched when one wants to do so. But i guess it is a niche kind of wish
Hey Mike, great you are supporting Fuse with this video. I love their stuff and already got it yesterday. It replaces the Softube Tape on the Roach Girl mix as it also got a tape stop option and it rolls off the many guitars quite nice. A very good one imo. Cheers
@@mixingwithmike Absolutely yes. I am convinced about that Raimund is a genius. He also is involved in NeOld and made stuff for Black Rooster Audio, Elysia (eg Phils Cascade) and The Opticom XLA3 to name just a few. I think he also did code for the bx_SSL Console Emulations. Cheers
Love your videos. For the life of me I do not understand why audio engineers purposely complicate the word instance(s) into instantiation. The word is absolutely unnecessary. Keep it simple. Instance and instances. Easy.
The only thing I don't like is there's no midi learn for the tape stop feature, so you can't really automate that which makes it kind of a useless party trick. Other than that it's a nice plugin.
It´s also a great one...I also already used it in a current mix and I simply love it although I already got many very good Tape Delay plugins like Valhallha Delay or EchoRec from Audiority an their Plexy Tape. Copy/ Echo Cat is a killer plugin for mixing due to its tweakabilty, especially the M/S components. Cheers
you want him to cut the spreading of knowledge out for a watered down experience? just skip over him talking if you wanna get to the meat and potatos man. lmao. come on, it aint hard. you lose the internet today. smh. 🤣.

im going to demo it later. Really killing the softube tape??? wow
@@FFStudioMy It's not a killer. Both are great imo.
It's a great deal, easy to use and sounds great!

What’s the difference between softube tape and flywheel?
Crosstalk makes hard-panned sounds more "listenable" in headphones, I think. But also stereo field more glued.
This is a great topic for a mixing tip, because there is a much better way to deal with this.
@@mixingwithmike Yes, please!
Hi Mike I'm a fan of your channel, great video as always. Could you make a review of the new Tokyo Dawn Labs "Molot GE" compressor? Thanks
I was have a closer look at it. I saw the release notice

is kabaka piramid song dat?
What about tape stop effect?
i find the tape stop effect a bit cheesy.
There’s a tape stop pluggin by waves that sounds so much better

You don't need midi learn to automate that.
wavesfactory echo cat please
In the works...

It's 3 in the morning mike
haha...its 6 p.m in different realm here 😂😆
High noon here :)

Tape emulation reviews defy time and space restrictions!
@@mixingwithmike :o)
With so much emulation to choose from, I will just stick to the Ampex tape from UAD notting comes close to UAD ampex.👌
The ATR 102 is amazing and one of my faves. For those that don't have a UA system and $350, this is a great sounding inexpensive native alternative.
@@mixingwithmike Excellent Reply...🤛
after 5 minutes of a long winding road of talking, I decided to stop watching! USELESS!
Arrogant

Rude, Alfredo. Mike is doing a great service by giving you a free education, ya dingus.
If five minutes of what you describe as being a 'long winding road of talking' seems too long to you. I can't imagine how 🤔...
