- Here's how to get real-looking art for cheap!
You can find FREE real works of art on the public domain at the National Gallery of Art website (NGA.GOV) .
Steps:
1) Print your art print on cardstock paper
2) add your print to cardstock the same size using modge podge
3) add modge podge to the entire art print; make sure to add brush strokes that go along with the details of the picture
4) once dry, repeat step 3
5) once your print is completely dry, add it to a frame without the glass and enjoy your new faux art work!
Supplies I used:
+ art print - www.nga.gov/collection/collec...
+ cardstock (regular cardstock is fine but I used this one) - amzn.to/3DkigfQ
+ modge podge - amzn.to/3wLdM0A
+ brushes - amzn.to/3JQwbwu
+ frame - amzn.to/3wHzBhu

MoD PoDGE. ☺️🔥
Love this!!
Do you use matte or gloss mod podge?
You should use an acid-free surface if you want the transfer to last longer than a year or two. Cardboard is very acidic and will darken the image over time.
Sweet!!
Will this work printing on an ink-jet as opposed to a laser printer? I have ink-jet... hoping it won't smear when you put on modge podge. Also, was your paper rippling when you added glue to back and modge podge to front? Mine is rippling some. thanks!
What type of mod podge are you using?
Where on the website did you find and download these? I must be missing it. Thanks so much for these tips, amazing!
And where did you find that beautiful antique looking frame?!?
Found it! Haha they have so much awesome religious art too. I wonder if you could add gold accents to make it look like icons
@@rocasey1 adding gold foil would be a great idea!
@@rocasey1 here is the lin to the frame amzn.to/3IH4F3i
My attempts have left white glue behind. I’m learning tricks like hot water as I go but my end product once dry, is white. When wet you can see the image. Any advice? I have a big coffee table book I’m using images from. Could it be the wrong kind of ink or paper? Do I have to get an ink jet?
Maybe get some acrylic retarder to the glue to thin it down, making it easier to spread the glue thinly.
Who knew?
yeah.. thats called counterfeiting.. sell it and you go to prison.
I don’t think she was telling people to sell it. Calm down sweety
im good. you ok?@@DMAN-ey1nb
Your brain is that insipid
My gosh no where in the video did the woman say “ sell” this is for personal use. Good god
That is not counterfeiting
All these prints come from a website in which the owner of the print agree for the public to use them without a charge. Now, once you print the picture and do adjustments such as adding color, adding glitter, or other changes at that time, that is yours. Yes, you can sell the item. That is way you see rugs, lamp shades, china with the same picture. This public website is for that purpose. There are several websites that you can select a painting for your use. Look at all the decoupage paper, needlepoint, rub on transfers, clothes, etc...
