      What are the torque specs for the cover?

    • @donniev8181
      @donniev8181 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tip, when pulling out the gasket/screen hook from inside the screen itself, that way you dont accidentally gouge the cover.

    Getting it done in the snow. You're the man. Mad respect.

    You have such a good attitude for doing it in the snow. It’s a perfect 69 degrees in Los Angeles and my mechanic (I own a shop) wouldn’t stfu complaining so I said come watch a 20 yr old do it in the snow with a great attitude 😂

    You are a great mechanic brother, I really admire how you keep filming despite the cold and the other people. Much respect, and thanks for helping us with our Hondas :)

    Lastly, you have to make sure to clear the code if it doesn’t go off by itself, and make sure oil is changed and topped off to appropriate level! Great job on this series kid, in the snow and still knocked it out! 👍🏼🙏🏼

    Because of your video, I did this project in less than a hour. I even made sure not to drop the nut behind the tensioner. You rock!

    Thanks for the video. What a bummer doing it in the snow, I followed your directions in the rain! Until I saw your discussion I was without hope of replacing the strainer. It went as well on our 2003 CRV, so thank you again for the help.

    Thank you for the tour!
    Im about to do this for my daughter's car and while I absolutely would have figured it out on my own, having a nice young person explain it all sure is a heck of a lot easier.
    Im in Florida so I was confused by all the static in the video at first. Turns out its falling frozen water. Weird.

    Bro the vtc assembly is notorious for having hairline cracks and leaking when I heats up Overtime , it’s recommended you change the screen and the housing itself for higher mileage k motor

    Hey Aiman, towards the right of the VTC strainer cover, is there a hole right behind the intake manifold as well in your Honda? Trying to make sure if that’s normal or not. Seemed kinda odd to have a hole which made me thinking oil leak came from there. Any feedback will be appreciated thanks!

    What is your car doing that you feel the strainer needs to be changed? Also does the 2007 vtec also have this strainer?

      Leaking oil is all you need to know. If there is an oil leak, it needs to be fixed, regardless of whether there is a CEL, or the car is still running well.

    If that was me making those same mistakes, the neighborhood air would be filled with F bombs, which could be heard from a mile away. No, I don't have much patience anymore, so I tend to get angry when I screw up here and there. Hence, I try to make sure that children and animals are not in the vicinity. 😉

      You can try resetting the error code using OBDII tool or disconnect the battery and see of the error code comes back. If it does then it is something else.
