@Harvey McCABE what's funny is I bet you're the shittiesr golfer here. The weakest and shittiest bums that play like shit are the ones who talk shit like that on the internet. Bring your clubs and a grand to Ohio if you wanna prove me wrong chump. Bet you go home humbled with a thousand dollars less in your pocket.
My wedges are in fact my favourite clubs to hit at the range, setting myself different targets and shot types. That said love all types of iron shots. 3 wood off the deck is perhaps my second favourite on the range.
8:57 I felt that. Nothing like showing up to the range and the guy next to you is hitting bombs like he’s fresh off the pga tour then you walk up and top a ball.
Lol this is me every time I go to the range. I find a spot finally (its usually always super packed) and every single time I set my first ball up I'm glancing over at the booths to my left and right and there's always 2 guys who could take their shot on the tour and are just crushing their drive 300+ while I'm topping or barely hitting mine to 200. Then I proceed to feel embarrassed for the next 45 mins while I try to my damndest to imitate them. Luckily I redeem myself slightly when I switch to irons and can actually hit those and somewhat keep up with the semi pro's next to me.
Matt Fryer has amazing tempo. His shots (aside from the fastest head speed challenge) all look so effortless. I strive to have that kind of tempo one day.
Hey Rick! I (Hcp. 19) hit my first stinger yesterday... On a 200m par3 against the wind. My 3-iron-shot landed just short off the green. Great feeling!
I love starting with a 4 iron. It is so challenging, and once I hone in on a good launch, I know I have my grip and turn. Then 7, then wedge, then back up to 3,4, woods, and pop up and down the lineup once more. I finish with what I think the first tee shot will require, which is often a driver. Excited to try that Garmin!
9 Iron because it's most likely my most accurate club. Watching you, Pete, Andy, and Piers has really contributed to the approach to my game and helped me break 100 this summer. Only my third season of golf in Chicago which means golf season doesn't last very long
I love working the Wedge game to the near flags at the range. When the driver goes everywhere hitting a few close with the wedge leaves me with a good feeling.
My favourite club to hit is the 5 iron. I would really love to win the Garmin G80 to see how far I hit it and the course. Thanks Rick and have a really good Christmas
I started playing golf around 3 months ago (in love already) and on my 2nd 18, I hit one of my cleanest driver swings yet off the tee, and it went 100 yards, smacked the fairway marker and went 90 degrees left into the trees. Of course the clubhouse is right near that tee, and everyone cheered at me from the 19th 🤣That crossbar sound is giving me flashbacks
love watching your vids. Makes me miss golfing. ( i work non-stop, always out of town ). You both hit the ball so beautifully. I used to use my 2 iron at an indoor driving range and always try to hit the same spot on the netting. I didn't realize that i was hitting "stingers" . I just loved the way that the ball felt when i hit those shots. Once again, thanks for all the great vids. If i can't get out golfing, I can still watch your channel. :)
My favorite club has to be my driver at the range even though I suck at driving. I enjoy using everything tbh though, each club is as important as the others. Would love to have a monitor to really dial in my club distance and improve my game 🙌🏼
8 iron, idk i just love an 8 iron, use it when i should use a 7 or 9 sometimes cause its just in my head that its the best club, dont know whats wrong with me. dont have a driver though.
Cool video Rick. I watched it with a smile on my face. My favourite clubs to hit on the range would be my wedges (all 4 of them), and if course driver. Cheers!
We all go to the range, hit a few with the irons to look somewhat like you’re taking practice seriously, and then proceed to just smasshhhhh with the driver. It’s all about the smash
Rick’s from my era when we were all taught to get the clubface open, release the hands, hit draws etc. same generation that was taught to put the ball back, hands forward on pitch shots which is just plain wrong. Coaching in late 90s early 00s was shite! 😂

8 iron is always a solid warm up club for me
9 iron
High iron 4-5-6
Favorite thing to use is my ball retriever because it’s what I use most on the course anyways. Almost time to get it regripped...

William Hickey you didn’t understand his comment dumbfuck
Usually a range session just disintegrates into trying to clear the back fence with driver 😂
Good I'm not the only one😂
Every time
Driving and putting are the game.
This is the realest comment I’ve ever seen lmao
Or hit the cart picking up the balls.
1:15 guys shakin his money maker all over the joint 😂
I died didnt even see that at first comonn 🤣🤣😭😭😭
@@itzjae wiggles it all around the place 😂
Lol
hahaha
Matt's swing is so smooth and effortless. Rick looks like he's swinging so much harder...and they're both the same speed.
2 iron, I love the feeling of the miss hits when it's 38 degrees outside.
This practice video was the best I've ever watched.
Nothing beats having fun while you play golf.
1:00 someone chips in, right side of the screen.
RAN to the comments to see if someone noticed lol
7 iron is my favorite club at the range. When I get the 7 dialed in all the other clubs and the technical work seem to follow
Matt's driver swing is so efficient and smooth. Respect
Favorite club.... wedges! That's where you can improve your score the most.
My wedges are in fact my favourite clubs to hit at the range, setting myself different targets and shot types.
That said love all types of iron shots.
3 wood off the deck is perhaps my second favourite on the range.
I feel the same way. I enjoy hitting a tight draw 7 iron more than a driver
From NY Rick you have helped my game a ton!
8:57 I felt that. Nothing like showing up to the range and the guy next to you is hitting bombs like he’s fresh off the pga tour then you walk up and top a ball.

@@Mazrim4202 years on. Now your probably the guy crushing the driver at the range while the newbies get nervous standing next to you haha.

Excited to try that Garmin!
7 iron. “I never miss with the 7 iron.” - Roy McAvoy
12:25
Love hitting the seven iron to build some confidence at the start of each session before moving on to those clubs that I really struggle with.
I love hitting the driver and 2 iron, the driver is my favorite though.
I love hitting my 4 iron at the driving range... just to remind myself how terrible I am at golf
so are we just gonna ignore the fact that his shots are perfectly in time with the music?
Got to be the driver! Pure satisfaction in a good hit and chasing those pure strikes!
I love trying to hit low targets with my driving iron and get some crazy shape shots.
Just enjoy hitting wedges honestly. There’s just something about hitting great wedge shots.
Me too.
Favorite club by far is 7 iron. “I hit the 7 like Daly hits his 3”
All of the videos I have seen from Rick are amazing and are helping learn about and enjoy the game of golf!
I've never seen someone so happy to hit the crossbar! 🤣
spampy106
I would like to see you hit that crossbar.
In the video it looks at least 100 yards away
@@nicolasparadis4511 can you hit it or are you just trolling?
Putter off the tee, nothing beats the feeling of puring one with the flatstick
Driver love to show everyone my famous 10 yard drive 😂

Love the crossbar reaction 🤟🏼
I’ve been practicing hitting into the rough, traps, and woods. Fairway seems a little to simple
my favorite is hitting it into the ponds, nothing beats swimming and golf!
My Favorite club to hit at the driving range: 3 Wood
I love working the Wedge game to the near flags at the range. When the driver goes everywhere hitting a few close with the wedge leaves me with a good feeling.
My favourite club to hit is the 5 iron. I would really love to win the Garmin G80 to see how far I hit it and the course. Thanks Rick and have a really good Christmas
Favorite club, 7 iron. Only club I can hit properly at the moment 😂😂
I love hitting my 3 wood. I always hit it well at the range then duff it on the course.
Driver, who doesn’t love hitting a belting drive
8 iron is my go to club to get my head on straight again when I’m hitting bad shots on the range
Love trying to shape my 4 iron at the range, emphasis on “ trying”
Great video! Definitely up there with the most enjoyable Rick Shiels videos for me.
Ah my home driving range, a curious mix of serious golfers and pissed up goons smashing Happy Gilmores into the roof.
Favourite club at the driving range would have to be my 3-wood, love pretending I can hit straight stingers all day 🤣
I find it funny how much the guy on your right waggles and shakes his knees it's like he's getting ready to hit it 400 yards lol and he's twerking
love watching your vids. Makes me miss golfing. ( i work non-stop, always out of town ). You both hit the ball so beautifully. Does anyone else say “bunker” like Rick when they’re out on the course 😂
Yes 99.99 % of the people who come from where he lives... The other 0.01% don't say bunker 👍
only every single time.
Not as often as I say cruuunched or muuuunched
I like "Lawn Guyern" better
My favorite club has to be my driver at the range even though I suck at driving. I enjoy using everything tbh though, each club is as important as the others. Would love to have a monitor to really dial in my club distance and improve my game 🙌🏼
When she says tonight’s the night -> 12:26
So satisfying to watch good people hit golf balls
Usually only Driver for a “couple” or until blisters appear
1:26 nice
1:15 Is the guy on the right twerking for the camera?
Saw that aswell 😂😂🍑
loooool
😂
Talk about video bombing a vid lol
I thought it was Charles Barkley for a second! 😂😂😂
The 2-iron stinger off the bar sold me, I had to subscribe after that. Way to go, mate. Absolutely crushed it.
8 iron, idk i just love an 8 iron, use it when i should use a 7 or 9 sometimes cause its just in my head that its the best club, dont know whats wrong with me. dont have a driver though.
3 iron so I can thin them and pretend i was trying to hit a stinger
3 iron all day. “If you can hit a 3 iron, you can hit anything.”
Damn.. he looks so relaxed! Should feature him more often! 👍👍👍
I’m one of those weirdos who likes practicing putting the best.
Favorite club: Pure 7 irons on the range
Favourite range club is my driver, who doesn't love hitting bombs
Favorite club has to be the favorite. Love hitting it pure and shaping shots with it. 🙃
Favorite club at the range: driver :-)
8 iron as it’s the only club a can hit a fade, draw and straight.
Favorite club at the range: 7 iron.
7 iron is the best hands down, love my Yonex clubs
Final stinger reaction is epic! Haha
Driver - “grip and rip”
How the hell did you hit that cross bar?
An updated video on how to hit a stinger would be great.
Last one was 6 years ago.
Rick Shiels facebook page. BAM
Cheers Ian
Anyone who doesn’t say driver is lying, surely.
Dave Poyser don’t call me Shirley
Nice. Love hitting stingers with the 3 iron.
Love hitting the 3 Wood! Mine has so much power and super high loft, so it’s always interesting to try different shots!
Love hitting the driver, feels good to get a perfect strike and crush the ball
Savage vid. Lovely last stinger.
Im so happy you hit the cross bar your face was priceless! 🤣🤣Amazing
love your videos keep up the good work!
Best vid in a long time. Great stuff!
Cool video Rick. I watched it with a smile on my face. My favourite clubs to hit on the range would be my wedges (all 4 of them), and if course driver. Cheers!
Stinger into the bar is the sickest shot I’ve ever seen from Rick
My favourite would definetly be a sand wedge! Love the looks people give me 😆
Such great tempo with driver Rick. Thanks for sharing
woah. thats the best i have ever seen you hit a low iron. And your podcast is excellent
That was fun to watch!
I love hitting my pitching wedge! Because it’s a beauty
Thanks to you RS! My new Taylormade GAPR low. STINGERS!
Controlling my driver well is always the best feeling on the range.
I love to hit like button of Rick's videos.True. and my 56 wedge hahah!!
3 wood and 9iron. Nothing better than going to the range on a cold winters night Rick.
8 iron. Perfect warm up and some good club head speed.
I liked the video when he said he listens to Aitch 😂🔥
We all go to the range, hit a few with the irons to look somewhat like you’re taking practice seriously, and then proceed to just smasshhhhh with the driver.
It’s all about the smash
That golf course is so much nicer than my local one lol

Rick is such a golf stud!!!! Marvelous swing bruh!!!! 👌
3 iron. Love the look on someone's face as I pull a bladed 3 iron out. Then the wonder on their face as they see my thinned pull hook skills.
Love hitting stingers with the 3 iron
