Found this regarding the issue on the 10th green... On the putting green, the Rule for an embedded ball is to mark and lift the ball, repair the ball mark and replace the ball in that spot. If the ball will not stay on that spot, then the player must find the spot nearest to the original spot, but not nearer the hole, where the ball will come to rest. and there is no limit as to how far this is from the original spot, nor which direction it must be. (Rule 14.2e).
Yes. The way James and Rick played it would be coorect if James had not yet marked the ball, but once the ball was marked, it cannot move and then it basically goes to a GUR rule. Nearest to the spot, but not closer to the whole. Nice find with the rule.
James really needs to become a staple to this channel. I genuinely look forward to all the videos but when I see James is a part of it I know the vibes are gonna be high. His attitude is infectious!
Absolutely. He should also be a part of European team when you guys do the TH-cam Ryder cup (tbh if he’s not Europe has no chance, even if he is it’s very slim 😢).
We can all just appreciate how well Rick was playing for most of the round. You can definitely tell he’s been putting the work in, keep it up Rick! Great video!
When was this filmed? We played Pines, Dunes, PGA Sultan and Lykia a few weeks ago. Considered Karya as well, but ended up not going - and as expected I am regretting that now!
Don’t be so hard on yourself Rick. With all the extra practice you’ve been putting in, you were -1 thru 16, that’s a big improvement. Onwards and upwards mate, you’ll be breaking par everywhere you go soon 💪🏼⛳️👍🏼
James is such a good addition to this. Having him almost as a on course coach to help you get your golf into even better shape is creating on more dimension to the break 75 series.
I’ll be honest, I usually laugh at Rick when he messes up, but when he went out of bounds on 17, I felt for him. To be -1 after 16, a shot ahead of James, is just as impressive as the way he hit it. He looks like a new golfer with the way he swung the club. Respect.
Great to see Rick playing a lot better. What ever he’s been working on is paying off on the course. 2 bad holes out of 18, is a lot better than we’ve seen for a while. Great content incoming I’m sure
James is such an incredible playing partner. He's so supportive without it seeming like too much, and he's always so positive. What an amazing player as well! He can have a laugh with you, help your swing, help your confidence, and pick you up when you get down. Just an awesome human being! I love his quote, "One bad hole does not make you a bad player, remember that." It's very obvious he's had to calm down himself with that thought several times. Great to see Rick playing better as well. Some of the best shots I've ever seen him play in this video, and not easy shots, either!
It is great to see Rick playing so well. I'm really pleased to see you up your game plus on a health kick, it makes your show so much better keep it up Rick.
Has Anyone seen James without a smile on his face while playing golf. It is a delight to see him swing a club, so smooth and balanced. Oh and Rick can play also :) In fact he is also smiling when he is doing his punishment push ups lol.
We have a regular group of five friends who play more than 90% of our golf at night. We live in Japan and all have full time jobs and families. Once a week, after work, we make the one hour drive to our course for nine holes of night-golf. It’s a magical experience every week-very few people, move at our own pace, quiet and we see all the night “critters” out foraging for their evening meals. Our course isn’t lit quite as well as the one in the video-we HAVE to stay on the fairways-if we get into deep rough, we’re unlikely to find our balls. Reading breaks on greens is the toughest part, but we wouldn’t trade our rounds for anything!
I am so hyped for all of the hard work you have put in to your game. Please do not be discouraged by the last two holes, but encouraged by the first 16!
5:12 was about to give off at James walking off after taking a massive divot, then realised he was actually picking up every bit of it to fix it properly. Love watching his collabs and he always seems like a really nice guy!
James has got to be the most likeable person you’ve ever had on ur show, such a nice guy, loving the night golf and well played the new Rick apart from the last two holes😢 👍👍
Rick, you did a marvelous job of trying to control your emotions on camera. But it all boiled to the surface at 1:24:32 when you threw the putter cover to the green. As Captain Hook (Dustin Hoffman) said in the remake of Peter Pan, "Bad Form!" For goodness sake, it's not like you were going to lose $10,000,000 in a tournament! It was supposed to be a *fun* game with Robbo and you let your emotions ruin it in the last 10 minutes. Look how uncomfortable you made it for Robbo. He saw you were radioactive in the walkup to the green. I hope in the future you just really roll with the bad shots and don't allow them to ruin your future outings. WE with 30+ handicaps UNDERSTAND for goodness sake!
You gotta be happy with the way your striking them... amazing how one piece of good advice has put you on this path to playing great golf again. Well done Rick and well done James!
James is my favourite guest by a mile. Love his attitude. Great round of golf from Rick too. Big improvements in his short game. Last two holes where too late at night and don't count 😅
This is the best I've seen you play in a long time. You was also in a good mood the whole game. I think you are a vampire golfer. Playing in the daylight is not your thing.
I was absolutely gutted for you on the finish, it's probably the best/most consistent I've seen you play. You can see the work you've put in, and it's rubbed off onto the mental side of your game too.
I very rarely comment on any video but, on this one particularly, I had to. I've watched your channel since literally your first video and that was genuinely one of the best rounds of golf I've ever watched you play. I thoroughly enjoyed the video and, I'll be honest, by the 5th hole I also forgot it was a "Break 75". The lessons Robinson (who seems like a top bloke btw. Do what you can to keep him about) is giving you clearly seem to be paying dividends and the evidence was there in buckets. Great to see and genuinely made up for you. What I like most is the mentality and atmos Robbo is bringing. You seemed so much more relaxed, full of confidence and the pair of you genuinely looked like you were out there having fun just playing golf with smiles on your faces. Yes, the 17th and 18th gave you a reality check but only to serve as a reminder that the only person that can get in the way of you being the best is yourself. One of the best videos I've seen in a long long while and properly inspiring to see how different the game can be by changing something as simple as perspective. Keep it buddy and more of this please!
Chin up my Rick!!! James’ statement was brilliant!! “One bad hole doesn’t make you a bad golfer”!! Love that!! Exactly what makes golf so great!! It’s amazing and cruel on the same round!!! But you keep coming back for the amazing!!! Awesome still Rick!! You and James are such class!!
James seems such a calm person,if I lived up north and near him, I’d definitely book a lesson with him Great to see Rick playing well again. Chipping especially
I'm a 56yr old 10 handicap and I learned more or understood more watching this then I maybe have ever! Great job! Just listening to you two break down the swing and alignment how you did......BINGO.TY
Loved the honesty of the video. We have all done it on the last few holes so many times. Rick, You will get it next time!! Keep fighting. And yes Robbo is an asset for the channel!!
Rick. Your channel got me into golf. I have been watching for over a year but only recently had the courage to start my journey. I love your new mentality. You are a killer. Absolutely lovely stuff. Just an unlucky finish. Best 76 I have seen from you!
Rick has really been putting the work into his golf game and it's really showing. His tempo, putting and short game are noticibly more better! Props to Rick for real, it's hard to improve so much
Rick been a fan of the channel for a long time now! Thats honestly the best ive seen you hit the ball. Keep it up & didnt deserve that finish was hoping for a 71/72. love the content with James keep it up.
Rick takes this stuff so well lol, plays it until the end with all the cameras in his face. What champ, I know thats a rough round but took it like a man with good attitude. that's why we love you
Lovely to see you playing better Rick, keep it up! I would argue that, for me, the nature of having to narrate and react to your own game before, during, and after every shot is such a huge reason as to why your game might not be where it wants to be. The mental side of it is just as crucial as the technical side, and in having to react and overthink and vocalise every single part of your game through a round (for content) I believe that it puts you in a mental state where emotion can take too strong of a hold over your technique. Keep your chin up, but more importantly, just play your shots! The content will still be amazing!
Bro, super excited for you. Quitting drinking is an excellent goal, especially if you have been doing it too much. A little can be advantageous sometimes, but when you start getting close to alcoholism it will only ever hurt you. Congrats and keep at it! I'll pray for you!
Hey Rick, I would like to tell you that I think the video and your progress are great. Very inspiring to see you physically much fitter and your game was super strong over 16 holes. There's certainly a lot of work behind it and you deserve respect for that. The desired result on the scorecard is therefore only a matter of time.
Rick that was a brilliant round. Don’t take home the 10%. Take home the 90% of phenomenal golf. I wish more courses would light up like this. Looks like a blast!
Well done Rick, you’ve improved massively, one thing I could give you as advice is to not put yourself down too much for small mistakes, golf is hard, confidence is key👍
Rule 14-2e states that the ball must be placed on the nearest spot where it does not move, no nearer to the hole and on the green or in the general area.
This video was inspiring and heartbreaking. I've been watching you golf for nearly ten years, you fixed my slice with your educational videos, and I still aspire to shoot 1 under through 16 it would be a miracle day for me. Rick you are our GOAT!
When you focus on the past or the future, you rob yourself of the present and the opportunity for success. The worst thing you can do is plan out future shots. You had the right mindset for 16 holes, but psyched yourself out before your tee shot on 17. Loved this video 😎
Watching Rick in the woods is by far the best. Hearing his strategy and what he does. Good scrambler! Classic, putting on the fringes and then giving himself kudos for thinking about chipping 😂😂😂
Rick I have to agree with Janes 💯. A couple of bad holes doesn’t make one a bad golfer. You played well up until the 17th. Welcome to the wonderful world of golf. Keep your chin up and keep improving like you’ve done. 👌🍺🏌️♂️
I've been watching your break 75 rounds for a while now. You actually played rather well today. I can see you are practicing because your shots are way less erratic than before. Keep it up and you will be making videos about breaking par in the future.
Great episode. James is a great guest and the chill playing partner you want in your foursome when things go awry. Rick! You are playing some great golf and as a mid handicapper, many of us would love to have your game. Keep up the good work…and the content on your channels is awesome.
Best I've ever seen you play by a long way. 1 under after 16 without anything particular going your way - dramatic improvement. I sense more to come. Really enjoyed the video. Keep up the hard work👍
You simply learn so much just from hearing n seeing how James plays thru his round. What a quote “1 bad hole dont make u a bad golfer” - take that as a constant reminder to bounds back 🙏
Rick Rick Rick......you have to let it go mate. Ive been watching your break 75 shows for shows while now and you put yourself in such a bad place after one bad hole and keep digging yourself deeper and deeper and deeper before your next shot. It shows on your approach and swing that your defeated. You were playing some really good shots previous to that one hole. Yes its hard but you need to forget that bad hole.... wipe it from your memory don't put yourself deeper and deeper in a bad place before your next shot and remember those good shots and holes previous to the bad one! all the best mate!!
The break 75 is Still my favorite golf content on all the internet. Guy in this episode would’ve made it even better but this was still awesome! Great job team. James has to be the nicest man on the planet.
it's been a very long time since last enjoyed break 75 series. Rick's has been amazing, if he can produce more quality golf shot, showing more consistent decision making etc, like in this video, definitely make the series more enjoyable.
Playing Carya at night is one of the best golf experiences I've ever had. It's a cracking course in the the day but playing at night is just so different. Unreal.
James is an international treasure that must be protected at all costs... also by far my fav break 75 thus far.. love the night golf and would love to try it sometime!
Always enjoy watching your videos. Just remember, you pay good money to hit that little ball as many times as you want! Keep up the great work with the content!
Rick I know you felt gutted but it’s great seeing you make strides with your game! Love watching the journey and I’m looking forward to that smooth 68 that is coming soon…
How relatable these last two holes were.. that’s what I love about ricks videos, I always root for him to go low but when he messes up it almost makes me like the video more because I can feel exactly what he’s feeling (and tbh when he said “I’m not crying, you’re crying” he was almost right 😅)
Found this regarding the issue on the 10th green...
Thanks for the explanation. On some greens this could be 10+feet laterally to get off of a steep slope. But hey....you have to do what you have to do.
Was browsing through the comments just to see someone answer this questions! lol
Thank you.
Yes. The way James and Rick played it would be coorect if James had not yet marked the ball, but once the ball was marked, it cannot move and then it basically goes to a GUR rule. Nearest to the spot, but not closer to the whole. Nice find with the rule.
I can’t believe that 2 pro’s did not know that rule🤦♂️
James really needs to become a staple to this channel. I genuinely look forward to all the videos but when I see James is a part of it I know the vibes are gonna be high. His attitude is infectious!
James has such great "on screen" chemistry with Rick. So calm and consistent, with just a silky smooth swing. Every video with him is a must see
James is my spirit animal! Love his energy.
James needs to be a regular at this point! Make it happen Rick :)
He did about a year ago
Swap him for Whopper Charnock?😂
he kinda is.
Sure he would just sack him off after a while like he did with Pete 😂
Absolutely loved my first experience of night golf! What a place 🇹🇷
Love seeing your smile, skill, and commentary. More collaborations with Rick, please, James!
Looked spectacular... course is pristine! Definitely high on my list to do a trip to Belek / Turkey! ⛳
When was this filmed? We played Pines, Dunes, PGA Sultan and Lykia a few weeks ago. Considered Karya as well, but ended up not going - and as expected I am regretting that now!
Looks like you need a putting lesson off of Rick, ironically. Crazy times.
Is that kbs tour lite shafts you are using @JamesRobinsonPGA
Don’t be so hard on yourself Rick. With all the extra practice you’ve been putting in, you were -1 thru 16, that’s a big improvement. Onwards and upwards mate, you’ll be breaking par everywhere you go soon 💪🏼⛳️👍🏼
You know it’s always going to be a good episode when Robbo is going to be on it
This is Pooh approved!!!
I actually love James Robinson and the vibe he brings to your videos
Agreed. Definitely my favorite. Doesn't over-talk every shot.
Do you actually?
James is such a good addition to this. Having him almost as a on course coach to help you get your golf into even better shape is creating on more dimension to the break 75 series.

Didn't he 4 putt the 17th last week?
The guy is a hacker. Never gets it done. Rarely plays well
@@robf7633flick him a message mate, give him some lessons from a non hacker 😂
Funny how he kept using that 3 iron, even though it wasn't working at all 😂
I knew somewhere along the last 4 holes he was gonna mess up lol. He gets too complacent. Old habits die hard.
Great to see Rick playing a lot better.
What ever he’s been working on is paying off on the course.
2 bad holes out of 18, is a lot better than we’ve seen for a while.

Rick has taken about 385mph off his backswing and is now a decent golfer 👌🏼
haha good spot

This is the best I've seen you play in a long time. You was also in a good mood the whole game. I think you are a vampire golfer. Playing in the daylight is not your thing.
Bring James on the team, guys a legend
Rick. Be proud of that first 16. Best i think ive seen u play
Love these break 75 videos hope he continues making them they are what I look forward to every Friday.
I was absolutely gutted for you on the finish, it's probably the best/most consistent I've seen you play. You can see the work you've put in, and it's rubbed off onto the mental side of your game too.
Really felt your pain Rick on those last two hole. Great video love the collaboration with James.
James is a natural, the explanations and thought process of each shot are accurate. Great advert for fundamental logic even at night
we want James in every video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! guy is an awesome golfer and a realy really nice human being. go James!!!
Yeah, it's good to have all three in some of these break 75s.
James is my favourite Ex Profesisonal you have on the channel, Rick. Keep them coming!!
Rick , you’re looking super healthy! Playing incredible golf as well! Well done sir from Canada 🇨🇦
James is a brilliant addition to these videos. Can tell he has a great impact on your golf.
“I’m not crying….” Rick… love it mate. All things considered your game has been improved! Great video
I have had this total experience many times. Courses in Asia are extremely nice like Turkey...but very expensive.
Would love to see more night golf, Rick!
Watching James play scratch golf and then watching Rick play +4 golf is just such a pleasure and inspiration to get better!
A fantastic video! I love night golf and watching you both play together Rick and James ❤❤.
I very rarely comment on any video but, on this one particularly, I had to.

Rick and Robbo, you know it’s going to be a banger 🎉 Smashed it lads 💪💪

Rick is looking lean!! All that extra practice has its added benefits 💪🔥
Needs to stop pulling the putter when off the green with wet conditions.
bet youd thin your wedge over the green@@deangilles718
@@deangilles718 i think ricks golf ball floats on water. kinda like jesus does

Happy Thanksgiving Rick and James! A video like this is such a treat on this holiday break 🦃🍗🍽
You do realize they don’t celebrate Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving only celebrated in the U.S.
Happy Thanksgiving to two guys that live in England.....I literally spit my coffee out.
I learn so much watching the two of you play. James, calm and even demeanor is what we all really try to project on the course.
Seeing Rick playing like this must make James a contender for the Coach of the Year award 🙂

Rick takes this stuff so well lol, plays it until the end with all the cameras in his face. What champ, I know thats a rough round but took it like a man with good attitude. that's why we love you

Yes its hard but you need to forget that bad hole.... wipe it from your memory don't put yourself deeper and deeper in a bad place before your next shot and remember those good shots and holes previous to the bad one! all the best mate!!
I’m excited for Rick. Feel like he’s got a spring in his step. Love that James has accidentally become coach. What a pairing!
The break 75 is Still my favorite golf content on all the internet. Guy in this episode would’ve made it even better but this was still awesome! Great job team. James has to be the nicest man on the planet.
it's been a very long time since last enjoyed break 75 series. Rick's has been amazing, if he can produce more quality golf shot, showing more consistent decision making etc, like in this video, definitely make the series more enjoyable.
the evening creates that black-backdrop that is so wicked on camera. Great Golf Guys , RS your game has gone up a level definitely! Great golf!
I have a new bucket list item: Play night golf!
That looks incredible!
Great rounds Rick and James you guys should collab more often! Love it!
Playing Carya at night is one of the best golf experiences I've ever had. It's a cracking course in the the day but playing at night is just so different. Unreal.
Loving the content with James, he really seems to be much more comfortable with the cameras. Top video again gents
Brilliant golf Riick, forget the last 2 hole's, thats golf, your playing really well and its great to see👍
Just wondering what Rick's favourite flavour is for a pudding (apple or rhubarb) because that was a major league 'crumble' at the end. That's golf eh?
How relatable these last two holes were.. that’s what I love about ricks videos, I always root for him to go low but when he messes up it almost makes me like the video more because I can feel exactly what he’s feeling (and tbh when he said “I’m not crying, you’re crying” he was almost right 😅)
Great video from all of you , hope you can grab James again for more videos just gives you all wonderful chemistry going around each hole playing golf
