Literally just saw these gents live a couple weeks ago. Great performance, awesome crowd interaction. This song got the biggest pop of the night (naturally being their radio hit at the time). These guys are great. Chad Kroeger of Nickelback actually helped these guys get signed to their first label, his label 604 records. A lot of their more "radio friendly" tracks actually draw comparison to Nickelback, which to me, isn't a bad thing.
Not usually a fan of music like this, but I love this song. You touched upon boredom, which is very prevalent in this song. This is about the struggle of addiction. The 1st verse is talking about withdrawing "sweating bullets, netflix-chills" also talks about life being pointless. The 2nd verse talks about anticipation of getting his next fix. The last verse is a typical rationalizing that everyone is getting high. The boredom he is talking about in the verse is likely a condition called anhedonia (inability to feel pleasure) And is relieved when he consumes drugs. Anhedonia is a big reason an addict will relapse. Anhedonia will dispitate once there dopamine and other brain chemicals stabilize
I'm subbed officially now. I've watched you for about 2 months now, and I really like ya! This song hits close to home as I am an addict in recovery for some time now, nut this song is SO true! I think the disconnect between someone without an addiction and someone with one is that we that have went through it know these common feelings everyone that goes through it has, that those whom haven't been through it first hand can't understand. I watched my entire family go through it and I thought I knew it all until I went through it. Nah, you don't know jack until you go through it. I hope nobody has to ever go through it! I actually discovered this song in rehab! It had only been out like 3 months at that point. There was a point in my addiction that I truly believed everyone in this world did some sort of drug, some were quieter than others about it, and was I wrong? Kind of. There's good people, but I can't even begin to tell you the people I did drugs with that blew my mind. I'll put it this way, I was a firefighter and got started in the fire department...
Great band. They are usually more a poke fun , party band. Kinda like the 80s hair metal bands. But their serious stuff gets you in the feels. So much good stuff to check out from them.
For some reason the music makes me think of a western movie. I see 4 men slowly riding into town all of them are wanted men they've been on the run so long they just don't care anyone, they rather be locked up than , continuously on the run.
Played this song on repeat when it came out.
This song legendary cuz if you have drug experience this is the anthem.....
#2badthatshitdontworktho
I love Theory of a deadman. One of my favorite bands

Great song to cover. Creative lyrics, even though I'm not an addict, it paints a good picture of what people go through.
I liked the lyrics too. Good tune!
They have a new one out called "History of Violence" which touches on domestic assault.
Just went & checked it out. Really good I liked it.
@@Bandit77TA they're a pretty solid band, all in all.
