We hear those daily in Ukraine. Both scary and annoying - you kinda feel like playing odds with your life, without any influence on the outcome.

When the russian invasion happened, hearing explosions, even if it was far away, was very scary. Especially in the night. It's impossible to describe this feeling. We got used to it over time. But i just love the sound of the siren. The same you hear at this timecode, the same is ours, when there's a threat of shelling/drone attack.

I was going home at 22:00 and one of these passes by me and holy that was the creepiest sound ive ever heard
Belgium needs to have a heart to heart talk with whoever made that ambulance siren. It sounds wonky and if I heard that on the road anywhere in the world, it'd take me at least 2 minutes to recognize it as a siren. Only then because of the pattern/sequence.

Chicago is so ahead of the curve! The tornado sirens in Chicago aren’t meant to warn people of an approaching tornado. The tornado sirens in Chicago were designed to scare away any tornado from Chicago!

Dead silence is the scariest. like when you are in the woods and all of a sudden it goes absolutely silent---or as a parent and all of a sudden your normally boisterous children go dead silent while in another room.
The 2nd one sounded like one of those novelty ghosts that would jiggle and whine if you clapped near them. Another sounded like weird and wonderful space age sound effects that the 60s pop producer Joe Meek would have liked to make.

@@nerd3434 Actually there's two variants, the one in the video is the alternate wail, but there is also a normal wail mode.
It's programmed to do that tone. It's called Alternate Wail, it comes with every Federal Signal electronic siren control
