If you want to make it seem like you're going through the portal, you're going to need to do a lot of cropping and have a second set of footage for the output portal.
get a thumb picture with a single coloured background, put that above your video track and then go to video FX, and drag chroma keyer to that thumb picture, then click the tab with color, then the tool which you use to pick a color and then click on the background of the thumb picture, now you have a thumb on your video (to make it move you use the box like icon, Alex did a video on how to move those already I just cant remember the name)
