    This video is about the best video I have seen on TH-cam so far for setting up a bike trainer. Thank you for the step-by-step instructions. I was finally able to set up my bike trainer. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

    Hey there, just watched your video on "bike trainers" and I have to say, great job! You really showcased the key features and benefits of using a bike trainer. As an avid e-bike user, I recently came across a new crowdfunding project called freebeat's Morph 2-in-1 e-Bike, and it's truly impressive. What caught my attention the most is the dual mode functionality, allowing it to be used indoors and outdoors. The fact that it can be charged while in indoor mode is a game-changer. The 750W motor and 80Nm torque ensure a thrilling ride, while the front suspension and fat tires guarantee a smooth journey on any terrain. The Smart Saddle Detection+ feature and the ability to convert indoor workout energy into CO2-free miles for outdoor rides are exceptional. I'm definitely considering supporting this project!

    Sweet deal on that trainer for only $20. I paid $200 for this Schwinn model and finally
    decided to make this winter one of indoor cycling. Appreciate how clear and simple
    you made this setup video and the special note about using an alternate tire, thanks.
    One more thing, the quick release skewer, where does that go?

    My bike trainer came with a replacement axel for the back wheel.

    • @YourFavoriteCyclist
      @YourFavoriteCyclist  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most trainers are going to come with one. The axle the trainer comes with is the style of quick release the clamps on the trainer work best with.
      If your quick release lever looks different I would switch them out to be a little more stable on the trainer

    Hi I'm looking at possibly getting a product like this & i see some are just the stand & others have that cable that attaches to the handlebar to change the resistance. So if i bought one without the cable/resistance dial, could I just shift gears on the bike to get a harder workout? I thought the resistance from shifting alone wasn't impacted by the rear wheel but I'm not necessarily an expert so i thought i would ask

    • @YourFavoriteCyclist
      @YourFavoriteCyclist  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have a thru axle on my mountain bike and it works fine, you just obviously have to use the axle on your bike not the one that comes with your trainer.

    • @markfisher7962
      @markfisher7962 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like myWorkouts, combined with a $12 speed sensor (and HR sensor). Trainer miles aren't like road miles: you'll be in a higher gear (faster) to get noticeable resistance.

    Do you need quick release to use the fdw?

    • @YourFavoriteCyclist
      @YourFavoriteCyclist  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can use a trainer with a bolt on axle as well. I used to set my wife's beach cruiser on my trainer on rainy days for her to ride inside and it worked just fine!

      @@YourFavoriteCyclist excellent,and would you recommend about a 26" or how much would be good as far as wheel size?

    • @YourFavoriteCyclist
      @YourFavoriteCyclist  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I've only used my trainer with a 26", 29" and a 700c wheel. Pretty much mountain bikes and road bikes. Any smaller than that and the wheel might not contact the roller anymore.
