I had an opportunity to get some time at the Bella Concert Hall at Mount Royal University on the Fazioli and thought I would record one of the most requested wedding songs. What a great space and instrument.

What is the arrangement being played?

This piece needs to be arranged for wedding processions (I suggest cut time). It just doesn’t work as it is written. It’s too dragged out for the action being performed. Every wedding I’ve been to with this played, the bride is down the aisle before the piece reaches its climactic point (the bride processing), which (if we’re being honest here) is what everyone is waiting for. Though, better choreographed wedding processions would also help the problem.
