Existing Banters are legends.
The one version I’ve thought would be neat is a 3.3” based off the original Banter. Ti frame lock (maybe nested framelock like the Waypoint), sharpening choil, no finger choil. Some steel other than 20CV, maybe S35, S45, or even Magnacut if they can swing it.
A titanium version would be pretty slick (maybe even with some light texture/milling like the Rockwall), and I agree that an OG size button lock Banter would be really cool! Aftermarket scale options would be awesome too… Different colors, ti, copper, bronze, etc.

I just got my Big Banter with micarta. My first of the banter knives. Love it. I have a baby banter on order. I would like the regular banter with the finger choil.
Banter series is great !! Would love to see a titanium handle version with titanium pocket clip an hardware 🎉
The Banter design begs for a button lock! it would be so perfect.
Also id love to see more blades shapes used like how the Benchmade Griptailian and others can be brought in a drop point, tanto or sheepsfoot... I think the Banter is a perfect base design to be used for a variety of blade shapes.
and lastly, personally I think the thumbstuds could be removed too for even cleaner lines, I think all thats needed is a nice clean nail nick or fuller groove to deploy the knaf with kinda like those seen on the civivi chevalier/conspirator would be perfection on a Banter imo... a flipper tab would be cool too but personally i reverse flick everything these days!! so next to a spydie hole a nice fuller groove is my favorite deployment method nowadays.

Big banter is perfect. Definitely needs more colorways though. I was personally a very big fan of the baby banter with the ivory handle and red blade
I’d like to see a premium steel Button Lock Elementum!! LOVE THAT HOLLOW GRIND! Keep it thin and simple! Just upgrade the materials.
For me it’s a tie between the button lock banter and the full titanium frame lock fancy banter! 😂

Thanks for all you do Ben. The Banter could use a wee bit more relief to allow access to the liner lock. I'm a senior/long time collector. Us older gents lose dexterity and fine motor skills. (This doesn't stop me from carrying and enjoying my shredded carbon fibre Banter). I just received my Big Banter here in Canada and have to say it is stellar. A large handle is perfect for my medium slow moving hands. Can't wait to see what you dream up next.
Just love the banter. It's all around well fit nice blade shaped a very well designed of a edc knife. I have mines in pocket everywhere I go.

People may say it's too blocky and ugly, but it's surprisingly comfortable. I think the next thing we need is a locking mechanism that keeps your fingers out of the cutting path. Maybe a crossbar style lock?

I think a aluminum or Ti with a button lock on a thinner type knife like the banter would better than say a frame lock. So that is my two cents - metal body, with a button lock. To start out anyway. Could always use CF, g10 etc as well. Thanks and grats on the success!

Titanium versions for the office or like a boss flexing event. The entire Banter line is awesome and titanium versions would make it legendary status. Level up

A standard Banter with the big banter’s choils in with a thumb stud / flipper deployment. However, that being said for this urban city dweller the big banter with both choils, micarta and sweet 20cv may be my “one and done” knife. Of course that means I’ll need to buy a spare!

Dude I love the Big Banter! Seriously! The size is perfect for what I use knives for. The dollar value is amazing! I own hundreds of mid range ($100 - $300) blades and the Big Banner with the CPM 20CV is by far the most value for the money. Now consider making a fixed blade Banter. Thanks!
I thought it was perfect the moment he released the baby banter. I think either the regular banter or baby banter as a fixed blade would be a good step.

I love the Banter series of knives. I think you need to make a Banter Slim/Lite. The same length and blade shape as the original, but with a skinnier width, from from cutting edge to spine. Keep up the great work Ben

I think a different locking mechanism would be great. I remember some time back Ben sharing some design sketches in a video and it having an “axis” style lock. Unfortunately the patent had not expired but now is an opportunity to add that feature. Either that or a button lock on the OG Banter.

Very cool update to the Banter design, I look forward to getting a big banter! It will be good to see in the future in more color combinations, I'm always a fan for a black blade on a green handle.

banter button locks plz!! the original and the big banter
different variations like frame lock or button lock are probably what will be asked for the most, but i like how the cost has been kept a lot more in line with people sticking to budgets. Personally i think a fixed blade version would be the way to close out the series.

I just ordered a Big Banter to carry on duty. I have the regular sized and really like it, but I tend to migrate to the Endura and PM2 for work. This Big Banter should solve that issue. It reminds me of the old Wilson Combat Elite DDR designed, that I used to carry in the early 2000s.
What’s next? Fixed Banter of course!! 5” blade.

I'd immediately jump on a 3.25" Banter with a finger choil. I really love the addition of a sharpening choil on the new knife as well. I've been wishing Spyderco would do it for years
My personal preference would be a Wharncliffe blade on something in between Big and normal banter, around 3,2 inch please! ;P
I think some models with interesting milling on the scales would be nice. The baby banter is the smallest knife I have and is way too small for practical use for me so the big one is looking good. ❤❤❤

Is the liner lock easier to get to on the big banter than the normal one? That is my main complaint with the original, and it's a bit small for my hands. If the big banter has a bit of a cutout for the liner lock it would be perfect. Although a button lock would be better.
Regular size is perfect but the choil would be nice and maybe some small jimping for finger hold, Would also love to see more customizable options. Damascus/timascus/anodized hardware, different scale and liner options. Who doesn’t love to have a knife no one else has😮

Button lock like Civivi Elementum but in titanium handles please. Then thumb studs with built in tritium (both sides).

with the finger choil the banter would be perfect as a slipjoint imo. would also make it more accessible in many ways.

Just for the sake of my ocd I would say the OG banter needs a choil as well… that said some of those statements Ben made got me excited “button lock” “contoured handles” those would be awesome as well.
Well, you've already micarta'd all the things... How about a wharncliffe or a tanto? Maybe a bar(axis style) lock?

The banter would be perfect with titanium scales and a framelock, contoured carbon fiber or Fat Carbon scales, comes in Magnacut, has a hollow grind blade, has a button lock opening mechanism, or either or both a flipper and/or front flipper.
Actually, the length of the sharpened portion of blade on Big Banter and original Banter is almost the same. But the handle area is significantly bigger on Big Banter.
I don't think handle length was problem on original Banter. People (like me) wanted a longer edge.
I say it on every Banter video…. We need The UK Banter or mini!

From the looks, a front flipper would be a relatively easy modification. I don’t think it would look much different from the current version. And it would add to the fidget factor.
It is up to Ben, if he will be doing what is cheerful for him, then the result will be awesome. Maybe some beast version with big blade, or double bladed one... or with transparent scales or some optical illusion version :D
