195 tables - @ $500 = $97,500. 10x10 booths - 33 center @ $1000 = $33,000, 41 corner @ $1200= $49,200. Total $179,700 *Not sure what it costs for the double tables so you would have to add that in.
Hey Ben, thanks for making a couple of my knives internet famous in the Ship Shape Sharpening Shop. Yes, my Browning 5518 was made in the USA and the sheaths were hand tooled in Mexico (except for 1976 with a Bicentennial sheath tooled in the USA). I got mine in the early 70’s when I was 10 and carved my initials in it during a BSA 50 mile hike. I’m cleaning it up to give to my grandson and Kieth CRUSHED the sharpening. TYVM
Ben is one of the best knife makers out there. The banter and baby banter are the perfect knives. The new crossbar lock banter is a must buy for me. I am sitting in a devastated part of Asheville and hopefully can save the money back for its release. This disaster has been hella expensive.
Hi, Ben. It was a genuine delight to meet you in Hamburg. Thanks for being such a great guy and everything you do for the knife community. Please, send my love to Athena. Cheers, Carsten.
I love that Knafs is collaborating with LT Wright. LT makes the finest fixed blades and is a genuinely good dude. To see Ben and LT come together to make a knife is something I should have seen coming because they are both such quality people. Can't wait to get my hands on one.
Your product spotlight sums up why Knafs is great. “We made it with a flathead, this is why - you didn’t like it - we changed it”. Keep being awesome guys.
@@Jake-bt3fc you could’ve just said you didn’t watch the video. And don’t understand the concept of consumer feedback. Would’ve been way easier to expose your ignorance that way.
Is no one going to mention Austin's facial hair makeover? Full beard -> stash.. bold move. Thanks for making my knife video content informative, entertaining and fashionable!
Tommy Room here, thank you for the mention guys, the swords are located in Gardemoen Airport,Oslo which is an airport i visit quite alot, just happened to see it when i headed for the gate and had to take a picure :)
Although I have a ton of kydex sheaths and even make them, I prefer leather sheaths for most situations and will probably make one for this knife if one of my leather sheaths won't already fir it. But if you happen to offer one, please post it. I'm especially fond of dangler sheaths.
Just got my large lulu in the mail. Very impressive knife. I like the design. Fit and finish are excellent. The handle is very comfortable. The kydex sheath is excellent. Very well made and locks the knife in with no rattle. I also like the belt loop. Simple, the way I like them. The main thing I worried about was the thickness of the grind behind the edge and I was very happy to find that it is nicely thinned. All in all, a great knife! The only improvement I can think of is a tapered tang but that would up the price considerably so I'm happy with what I have. Great design by Knafs and excellent workmanship by LT.
Thanks for the video. Love your designs and have a bunch! I sometimes get a pivot backing out on the Lander 1 models like mentioned in this video. My fix instead of locktite is to use pipe tape like a plumber. A whole roll is about a dollar and will last forever. I cut a small probably 1" strip that is the same width as the pivot screw threads and wrap it tightly around the threads then tighten into the pivot until it's snug and the action is where I want it. Rarely does the pivot back out after this trick as the plumber's tape keeps it in place.
I just finished watching Nick Shabazz's review of the Lander 3 and he put on some of the most "unique" scales (appropriately themed for the month of October) during his review. Which made me think - could you showcase some of the more interesting/unique scales designed for the Lander series in an upcoming segment? I know I would find it interesting to see all the creative and unique designs that the community has done.
I was hoping you would come out with a bigger Lulu, but after seeing it I think the original Lulu with the raw magnacut seems nicer. If those leather sheathes ever come back in stock in your site, I plan to order the combo.
Don’t forget to deduct insurance, travel, employee payroll and shipping. At union shops like Las Vegas you are not allowed to set up your own booth because the union has people to do that. Shot show is 10,000 people per day in each room.
It was really great to meet you guys in Salt Lake. My son and I picked up the $2 knife. It was an experience we will never forget. First, running in, then getting the knife. Then, hearing the group moan when they were all sold. What made you want to do that $2 knife offer?
23:46 On construction, when fastening something to a wall, after having drilled a hole, and if the dowel (or any of its modern variants) come lose, you can put stuff in to make it fixed, because you can't fix the inside of a wall like that. So, you could try something powdery or thready for a screw thread. Probably better to replace the pivot screw, if you don't wanna mess with it like that. And beware of any damage you will cause to make a lose screw thread fixed.
Just had the thought as I watch you 2 do your thing, the magnet for the mic.... would a Knafs pin (without the spike) work to hold that mic on? Shameless plug?? Also I got my Lander 3 last week and I am in LOVE with this knife, it has taken the place of a Benchmade Bugout Mini. Now I wait for the Lander 4.
26:11 But Ben, oxygen is also aggressive and nobody complains. I love your approach though, I was just being pedantic with words. Enough OTFs out there as it is! 🥰
You don't baton with a small fixed, you carve a wedge and a baton, which you then use to split the wood apart. The blade size is okay to get the wedge in alright. Just a thought I wanted to add.
Speaking of possible new products how about a straight razor with swappable scales? You could have Saturn scales with rings, or Endor scales with Ewoks on it, or a set with 1964 Chevy Nova in blue. If you don’t want to do a straight razor you could make it for Gillette blades. Or maybe an OTF straight razor. Not sure why I thought of this during this episode but it sounds like something Austin could design and test.
I discovered a great hack for mangled t6 bits. You can revive a t6 bit by just grinding down the end on a flat diamond stone until you get past the mangled tooling to some fresh undamaged bit. As long as you don’t grind down too far to wear it thickens up, this will revive your t6 so that it starts engaging with the tooling on the screw head perfectly again. Once I figured this out I repaired a bunch of completely useless t6 bits this way and consequently haven’t had to buy more t6s
Please announce some new colors for the baby banter wharncliffe. The current colors just aren’t my vibe. I do love the new baby banter fixed blades. Would be cool to see a wharncliffe version of that too. The wharncliffe is just such a useful shape for smaller knives.
Man, I was hoping they would do the Lulu in a full flat grind. I love the size of the lulu for edc and a ffg would have made it the perfect edc fixed blade. I’m kinda bummed. I like the new fixed blade. It’s just a little too big. Scale it to the size of the scandi lulu and you’ll have an all time hit. I’m sure of it.
I've found that Loctite works best when you clean both mating surfaces, use a primerless Loctite such as 243 (medium strength), apply a thin coat to both surfaces of the threads that will be in contact with each other, then allow a minute or two for the Loctite to etch the metal. The Loctite won't cure until the screw is installed, but then your on the clock. When you install the screw, adjust it to it's final tightness within two minutes; the Loctite will set in ten minutes so you don't want to be adjusting it after a couple minutes or the final adhesion might be compromised. Let the knife sit undisturbed for a minimum of 24 hours for the Loctite to fully cure; 48 is even better. Blue Loctite can be very strong when done this way. Also, if you use too much it will run out of the threads (too much on the screw will run out of the head end and too much on the nut will run out of the other end unless it's a closed nut) and it can get into your pivot.
I think both of the guesses are wrong and my math should be right.Tables 193 x 500 = 96.500/ inner 37 x 1000 = 37.000/ corners x 1200 =72.000 / 72.000 + 96.5000 + 37.000 =$ 205.500. does this look correct.
I live in Steubenville, literally right next to Wintersville. I never knew LT was this close to me until about 3 months ago. I feel like a failed knife nerd.
Hello nice community I have a question for all of you it looks like I stripped a number 6 on my clip how can I remove it is there such a thing as a small drill the diamond head any advice
Here's a nerd hint that I use when I strip out the T6 or any size, driver bit. Just barely touch it flush to a grinder wheel, or use a file to take off less than a centimeter...that should expose a fresh driver surface.
sweeet! Congrats guys! Looks great!
Hey thanks guys!
Please don't destroy it as long as they are so limited! 🙏
You heard Ben, don't baton with it! 😱🥺👉👈

They finally made a knife in the USA. People can finally shut up and put up and buy that knife.
So why do knife designers use T6 screws? Is it just because T8 screws are bigger? That seems like a pro for T8s and would help with stripping issues.
Really like the knife. Don't want one. But I like it a lot better than the Lulu 1. A Lulu 2 in Lulu 1 size would be right up my street though.
