Therefore the very similar American Lawman Mini XHP with Tri-Ad Lock is the much better and more secure knife here. Nevertheless Ben presents us a good fifth pocket folder...
I started collecting 1 year ago today. I got the OG Banter in green yesterday, and it might be "plain". But it's absolutely not boring. It's a jack of all trades. I love it. The G10 texture is great, the size and balance are spot on, the blade shape is excellent for most task. if you ever make a crossbar or button lock version, you'll have another instant buy from me.
I’ve always liked pocket knives and I would carry and have one at a time until it broke or I lost it. Money had a little to do with it too. It was probably when I started to watch Ben on knife banter did it dawn on me that I didn’t have to wait for the one knife to break and I could collect and rotate a few knives at a time. The collection has grown in the last 4 years and I could say Civivi has definitely helped with the verity they offer. Needless to say Ben and WE/Civivi are a match made in knife heaven. Great job on the variety guys.

You're just a good guy trying to branch out, and make people that aren't usually big into the knife community, take a look into the hobby. You're a good dude, it's easy to tell even through the screen.
got one in all black as an anniversary present from my wife. honestly i thought the design is a bit weird with the cutting edge to handle ratio is off because of the huge choil but it works perfectly and it fits my hand like a glove! ben really knows what he's doing!

I got my sister a Baby Banter for her first knife and she loves it. Fits her hands perfectly. In the future I’d love to see the axis lock on it and I would have loved to see the tweezers and toothpick in the scales but I understand why you decided otherwise. Love you so much Ben, keep making amazing knives
I got mine today and its pretty good but there are a few bad things. Where the liner lock meets the blade is not black ( on the all black model ) it is silver and you can see it when the blade is closed from the top. I havent seen a video show that yet.

The pocket clip sits flush in the handle which looks nice but on the opposite side that isn't used you just have a gap. It looks like something is missing or fell out. Wish they made a plug or filler for the pocket clip indent on the unused side.

@@fredelmo aaaayy!! It's a great little blade, I can flick it open both left and right handed no problem! To be honest, I haven't switched the clip yet as I've grown used to right handed carry with my other knives 😂
@@EBarskey I haven't changed clips either, at most just removed them.. I carry my phone in my left pocket, so the knife has to go right side anyway! But sometimes thumb studs are harder to use for lefties, because the cut-out in the scales (to access the liner lock) is usually much smaller or non existent on that side. If that's not the case with the baby banter I'm super happy! Thanks!

Hey Guys! Speaking of the Banter knife, I recently purchased not one but two Banter knives. The first Banter knife has Ben Peterson's autograph on the blade. The second Banter knife is for EDC. I was skeptical at first but after receiving the Ben Peterson autographed Banter knife I really liked the feel in my hand and then I told myself I have to buy another one. I sharpened these knives and they are razor sharp. I hope you guys can create another Banter knife and instead of going in the direction of smaller you guys would go in the direction of bigger. At least one and a half inches bigger in the handle and an inch bigger on the blade. I would also like to see a semi serrated Banter with many different colors on the scales like camos etc..
I was in a shop looking at yet another tactical schmactical tank for the apocalypse and saw a baby banter in the Civivi section. I thought to try it over my usual style of folder and I’m glad I did. I don’t “need” a big knife for anything and realize when I need a knife, it’s nice to have something that doesn’t dominate my pocket. I like that this slips in my uniform breast pocket and disappears until I need it. Well done!
Great to see Ben. I just finally purchased the BladeHQ Banter in CPM 20CV and Jade Green G10 scales. Definitely picking up a Baby Banter hope BladeHQ does one.
I think part of what sells the WE Banter is the fact that its suck a clean simple design. A lot of WE knife designs are a little more out there so they have a much smaller appeal then the simple design of the Banter.
I was so disappointed when the Micarta banters got pulled. Its still paid for whenever the V2's get released. But you know in the mean time, I wouldn't be opposed to signing a waver and getting a V1 Micarta banter 😁
As a Chicago guy this is a nice option to atleast have 1 legal knife in my collection. Excited to see the exclusives coming out. The banter in my opinion is the best first premium knife. The price materials and quality is just light years above the competition.
Ordered mine. I didn't like the chunky design of the banter, but the baby with the forward choil and smaller/slimmer handle is just the right edc for me!
Ben is great. I made a comment on Facebook joking about not getting anything for Christmas. Which is true. I hardly get gifts. he sent me a sticker and a Banter rubber mat. It took awhile but I just ordered a Baby Banter and will get the og very soon!

Even here in NYC we have an under 4” rule for our folders. I would like to see a 3.5” banter.
The great thing about the “Excel Edition” Banter, is that you can dye the scales any color you like.
