  • Summer is on us, which means it’s time to get those boats and trailers out of storage and get them ready for lake days. Ever wonder what happens if you skip the walk-around or don’t do the maintenance needed prior to pulling your boat or jet skis down the road? Today’s video focuses on a jet ski trailer that lost a wheel and suffered a damaged hub while traveling down the road. The breakdown left the owner’s stranded on the side of the road. Watch the video to learn how to do a roadside repair to get you quickly back on the road and hopefully to some fun in the sun!

It’s crazy how the Lord above looks out for you. I run a gooseneck hotshot. I was just watching some of your last couple videos. I’m always looking at everything during my pre trip inspection and everything looked good. Stopped to offload and last thing you were saying was “check your lug nuts!”. As I walked to my trailer to unstrap I see 2 lug nuts on the passenger side about to come off. Thank you for all of your great videos that you do. I enjoy the comedy and the how to info. Great job.

You really need an academy award for your acting. Just in case your trailer mechanic duties doesn't work out. You could always be an "ACTOR".
    HAHAHA. Great information as always.

Good video. I have used a 2" piece of PVC pipe as a Dust Cap installer. Has worked on everything.

Did the kit come with new lug nuts? Don't forget to check the lug nuts after towing down the road a while! It is very important!!!

I fix lawn mowers for a side gig. My boss at my regular job says there is a big need for repacking and or installing on boat trailers here in Seattle.. Looks like might be another side job for me eventually

Excellent video. Can you make a video about e-z lube hubs? How they work, etc?

Great suggestion! We just released it on the channel, it’s our latest video. Hope it helps!

I watched the video and found it to be quite informative. In my opinion, the E-Z lube hubs may require more frequent lubrication compared to regular hubs, as they are exposed to the elements, which can accelerate the oxidation of the grease.
By the way, you just gained a new sub.

If everyone would check the wheels and bearings once a year they would save a lot of headaches. We see bearings and tires issues constantly.

💯 facts! They would save themselves a lot of money in repair bills, too!

hey man I’m making a custom trailer right now and the brackets I’m using for the leaf spring hangers is a upside down trailer channel tongue I have four of them for each side so basically I can swap leaf springs so I can keep one trailer just get different axle setups so anyways the channel the big ones that are used for like big equipment like the 12,000 rated ones where you have to weld them so that’s my setup What I want to know is what’s the average distance from top of axle to frame I have a 30 eye to eye under slug axle mines being 4 inches seems to close afraid it may hit the frame on bumps
