This was for a project called Vibrant video magazine which was part of the Freedom Rave lads in Scotland. These tapes have travelled literally around the world and have spent 20 years in storage. Today's date stamp is the 1st public viewing.

I was at this gig, and although it was good, it wasn't anywhere near as incredible as the Megadog allnighter in Brixton Academy the month before. Seeing Orbital and Aphex Twin both the first time on the same night was off the scale.

great days
very few electronic artsists seem to think back to electronic music BEFORE Kraftwerk of which there was more than you'd think.
the first one that springs to mind is the AMAZING and highly psychedelic and hypnotic album done by "stealing" time at the BBC polyphonic workshop via Delia Derbyshire, and as they had no samplers, had to make up tape loops some of which went all the way round the studio and down the corridors and back, using pencils and pens as capstans, for David Vorhaus' White Noise "An Electric Storm" LP.. WOW!
This is great! I don't suppose you have any of Orbital live from that gig? I was there but The Arches were so packed, my friend and I ended up in the other Arch and could only see the lightshow hitting off the back wall. Still, it was worth it to hear Orbital for the first time!
