The reason behind this is that in Gen 5, Hidden Abilities were based on what the Pokemon "dream" of. Because it's Dream World. So Durant, a hard worker, dreams of getting to relax.
I really wanted to do it, but it wouldn't work for me. Something about that I had to have my Trainer Club account upgraded to a Play! Pokémon account, and that would require a Digital Player ID from the last irl tournament that I went to. Like WTF?
Nice video, here are a couple of things to keep in mind: No Guard DOES allow OHKO moves to always hit, for both the attacker and the defender; this is why so many people are terrified of when Pokebank comes out and people can potentially have No Guard Fissure Machamp. Overcoat actually does two things; it protects you from weather, but more importantly, it also makes you immune to Spores and Powders, meaning your much less likely to be set-up bait against something like a Spore Smeargle or a Quiver-Dancer.

All of the virtuall console games pokemon have thier hidden abillities. So from bulbasaur to celebe getting hidden abilities are pretty easy if you have red' blue' yellow' gold' silver and crystal. I think it has something to do with generation one and two did not have abillities ( one didn't even have genders besides nidoran) so they recieve abillities once transfeted. Maby gamefreak was being nice for once and just added the hidden abillities or it was just a way to get people to buy the games ( moste likeley)
One thing I would like to point out is when you were talking about Unburden, you showed on the screen it doubling the base stat. This is actually not what it does, it modifies the Pokemon's actual Speed stat, so when it is actually doubled it would be way higher than double the base stat. Just thought I'd point that out. Awesome video, by the way, I didn't know that some of these Pokemon got these Hidden Abilities, so I found it very interesting!
You can still get Analytic Watchog in a couple of post-game Hidden Grottos in B2/W2. You can then transfer them to Gen 6 and bam, infinite Analytic hogs because breeding for HA's is not a pain in the dick anymore.
How the Shelmet + Karrablast evolution actually works: While trading, Shelmet drops his armor and and Karrablast picks it up. You can see a Escavalier essentially being a Karrablast with a shining armor equipped, while the little Shelmet freed itself from it, just to be an agile ninja now.

I actually got a HA Qwilfish in USUM when I put a HA Pidgey in the GTS (Bred from a RedBlue Pidgey I got from Wonder Trade) for a Qwilfish. I just wanted it cause it’s a cool mon.
I actually considered Qwilfish one of my least favourite Pokémon but this video enlightened me, it has a great movepool, I'd totally use one now, you know without the thing that you can't get one of the hidden ability, of course. Also this is a great list I totally didn't consider that these dream world ones are unable to obtain. You deserve more subs dude... and a mic without the quiet buzzing.
You can find a Watchog with Analytic. They're in Black/White 2 in a hidden grotto somewhere in route 2. You can also find Ninoran boy and girl and a Granbull.
you should have put Chandelure as honorable mention because it's the (i think) only non legendary pokemon to have its hidden ability never released and swapped in the next game (shadow tag in gen V was never released and gen VI switched it for infiltrator)
I'm pretty sure that was available before the switch in Gen VI. The point is that Chandelure never did get Shadow Tag before it was changed for Infiltrator.
You can still get Watchog's hidden abilities in Black & White 2. In those games, they added hidden grottos around the Unova region, each with different possible Pokémon to be found. The Pokémon found in them all have their hidden abilities, and Watchog can be found on Route 2 & 7's hidden grottos.
Just an FYI, you don't double the base speed stat when applying the Unburden ability, you double it's effective speed stat (the number found on the Pokemon's summary). Example, a full invested (252) Jolly Slurpuff at Lvl. 50 has an effective speed of 136, with a base speed of 72. But after Unburden, it's effective speed doubles, and hits 272, which ends up being much faster than if you simply doubled it's base speed. 144 base speed with 252 Jolly ends up only hitting 215 effective speed.
I get where you're coming from, but there might be newer Pokemon players that watch your channel, so it's important to make sure you're showing correct information, at least in my opinion.
karrablast ending up with an armor and shelmet losing its armor is due to karrablast stealing shelmet's armour when its trading, and well, shelmet got no choice soooo
Symbiosis has a pretty niche role, but I can think of one pretty neat role for it: Belly Drum support. Lead in doubles with a Belly Drum Self Destruct Gluttony Snorlax (preferably with a pinch berry like Aguav or Figy), and a Symbiosis Oranguru holding a Normal Gem. Turn 1, Belly Drum and Trick Room. Snorlax gets to half health, either before or after the Belly Drum, and uses its berry to restore some HP there. The berry gets used, and the Normal Gem is handed off. Oranguru uses Trick Room, and Snorlax gets to move as one of the first Pokémon next turn, if not *the* first, for a +6 Self Destruct while Oranguru protects. Could act as a pretty strong lead, only problem is Ghost types or hard-hitting Fighting types.
Smol Waifu Florges + Bouffalant(Sap sipper) Let Florges hold the Assault Vest, and Bouffalant the Power Herb. Bouffalant uses Skull Bash-->consumes Power Herb(free Defence boost) Florgess will give the Assault Vest to Bouffalant(Sp. Def boost) Now that that is done, let Florgess attack with Petal Blizzard, which in turn also raises Bouffalant Atk because of Sap sipper

Karablast and Shelmet interact when they are traded. The Karablast steals the Shelmet's armor to evolve during the trade. That is why they look they way they do.

Dude I love your vids, what Ive noticed about you compaired to similiar poketubers is that you can be fun to listen to, your voice and narration just entertains me some how its obvious you really love what you do and that helps me love it too. One thing id be really interested in seeing which I think you of all people could pull off well would be some kind of pokemon profile were you take under appreciated pokemon and make sets or give ideas on how to use them. Its just some food for thought but thanks alot for making the vids they are really great.

MTGGeeksGaming exactly! So many poketubers (as well as other youtubers) are overreacting too much. Shouting 1cm away from the mic and they don't sound natural. Perhaps I am a stick in the mud, but I prefer people like him who just talk casually, normal, come up with good content, are not trying to overreact and stuff. Wish there were more ones like him. I used to watch Verlis for like a week back when X and Y came out, but couldn't stand his vids.
I know that this is a pretty old video but I think it should be changed to hidden abilities you can no longer get in the gen 5 through 7 games! The reason I would say that this only applies to those generations is because in gen 8 they introduced items that let you give any pokemon their hidden abilities if it has one!
I think it would be great to see a list of Pokemon whose Hidden Abilities are super good on certain Pokemon and a list of which Hidden Abilities are super not useful. Thanks! Keep up the great videos.

How come so many of the great things gen. 5 added were removed in the later games? We got different difficulties, dream world, medals, and more that was taken when we got X and Y.
HA Basculin is now available in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. :) Red form in US, blue form in UM. Also, I went back into my Black 2 just yesterday to catch a HA Watchog via Hidden Grotto.

If no one else has commented on this, here's how Symbiosis works: When an ally uses consumes their held item (like Focus Sash or the "pinch" berries), the Pokemon with Symbiosis gives their held item to their ally, assuming they have an item to give.
Any Gen I and II Pokemon can now be obtained with its HA through the VC releases of those games, and Basculin is available for SOS in USUM. Also, Watchog was (and still is) available in BW2 Hidden Grottos.
xXFoxyGrandmaXx It basically does what you said but only for attacks on the opposing Pokemon (even friendly ones), but most pokemon have abilities like Immunity that cure them even after being afflicted so it mostly is good for bypassing Mimikyu's Disguise and the many Levitate pokemon's immunity to ground moves.
Mold Breaker, as well as Turboblaze and Terabolt, negate the effects of the opponent´s ability when you attack. It´s mostly use to bypass the Levitate effect on mons weak to Ground, such as Weezing and Gengar on the day. It also ignores Mimkyu´s Disguise, but there is more abilities that can be ignored, such as Sturdy, Absorb (water, fire, etc), Mirror Coat... look it up, i just did and i´m amazed on how this works. Can give the user great advantge, since it can bypass even Shedninja´s Wonder Guard.
Hey, on Accelgor, I'd like to point out that abilities do not effect the base stat. They effect the actual stat. Say that a Pokemon has a speed stat of 6 when hatched. That will be doubled to 12.
Okay so, I'm a fucking expert on this topic. Mold Breaker Basculin can now be caught using SOS in USUM, with each color being exclusive to either Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon. Just as well, with the addition of the Kanto and Jhoto games on VC, all pokemon transferred from Gen 1 and 2 games to Gen 7 will have their HA, making the #1-251 in the nat dex obtainable. Also, the Sinnoh fossils can be obtained with their hidden abilities through an in-game trade with either Yancy or Curtis in Black 2 and White 2, and Watchog can be found with his HA through Black 2 and White 2's hidden grotto mechanic. Here is the full list of pokemon who are currently unobtainable with their HA. This list does not count pokemon who's HA can only be found through the friend safari. 1. Treeko Family 2. Torchic Family 3. Mudkip Family 4. Lileep Family 5. Anorith Family 6. Regice 7. Regirock 8. Registeel 9. Chimchar Family 10. Piplup Family 11. Turtwig Family 12. Burmy Family 13. Hippopotas Family 14. Snivy Family 15. Tepig Family 16. Oshawott Family 17. Tirtouga Family 18. Karrablast Family 19. Shelmet Family 20. Tyrunt Family 21. Amaura Family Archen doesn't have a HA, Gens 1 and 2 starters can be transferred from the VC, Burmy, Hippopotas, Karrablast, and Shelmet are the only non-starter/fossil/legendaries to not have their HA released post-Dream world, and all of these pokemon can be bred to make more HA mons except for the Regis. As a side note, I'm not sure if Super Size Pumpkaboo counts, as regular size can be caught in friend safari and Super Size with HA was only released via event, but there's some weird shit you can do with pumpkaboo breeding and i don't super understand how it works.
The reason why escavalier and accelegor look like that is because when shelter and karrablast are traded karrablast takes the armor and evolves with it while shelmet loses the armor and evolves
So you might not know this. Starmie run Analytic competitively because if a Pokemon switches out then Analytic kicks in. So the Pokemon coming in gets a full Analytic boosted move fired at them. That plus Life Orb hits like a truck. Each switch you force means a free Analytic boosted shot will hit the Pokemon coming in. This makes Analytic really good on a Sweeper. If you can force switches you are always getting a boost.
One really big one that you missed was Shadow Tag Chandelure. For those of you who don't know, Chandelure's hidden ability in gen 5 was the amazing Shadow Tag (which prevents your opponent from switching out), but Chendelure wasn't obtainable with its hidden ability in gen 5, and by the time gen 6 rolled around, they actually changed Chandelure's hidden ability. (to Infiltrator, which isn't nearly as good). So Chandelure technically has two hidden abilitied, but there's no legitimate way to get one with Shadow Tag.
So i am going to give you the reason what happens with shelmet and karrablast. During the trade shelmet gives its armor that its wearing to karablast. Which changes karrablast in to an super tanky fighter And shelmet feels so light after the loss of its armor that it gets super speedy. Tbh thats quite an cool piece of lore of pokemon if you ask me Know the lore is half the battle xD
It's super nice when you've missed out on the legendary bird event last year, didn't get any of the HA Mewtwos, and would like hidden ability (Kanto) fossil pokemon (which used to be dream world exclusive).
You want to know something? In Gen 5, the Chandelure line has Shadow Tag as their Hidden Ability, but not only was it never related during that Gen, but in Gen 6, they changed it to Infiltrator. Also, Raikou, Entei, and Suicune's Hidden Abilities of Volt Absorb, Flash Fire, and Water Absorb were never released. As of Gen 7, while they still haven't been released with their Hidden Abilities, it's been changed to Inner Focus for all three.
I believe Symbiosis works like this: Lets say in a team battle you have a glutton snorlax with a wiki berry and oranguru with leftovers, snorlax uses bellydrum which activates its ability and it eats its berry, since snorlax used its item this then activates orangurus ability and gives snorlax its leftovers
6:30 Karrablas obtains Shellder's Armor (Shell) and evolves with it into Escavaliet While now Shellder evolves without a shell, obtaining a move agile and speedy form
Analytic is actually useful on Starmie allowing it to act like an alpha version of the current ability Stakeout.... Starmie has lots of options and if the opponent switches pokemon that technically counts as moving and gives Starmie more power for it's attack...
Ragu Guru true, but serperior can have HP Water to counter if it has already gained some boosts from Leaf Storm, and you can always switch to a reliable Earthquake user to take care of Heatran
Just as a note, Abilities like Unburden and Huge Power/Pure Power do not Double the Pokemon's Base Stat, but rather its actual stat. the number actually lowers if it gets calculated with Base Stats rather than actual stats
The way I am taking symbiosis is that if your partner Pokemon has an item and uses it, like a berry or something that is a one time thing and it's gone, your Pokemon then give that Pokemon their held item. Meaning if you and you partner don't make a battle plan around symbiosis then symbiosis will be more harmful to you in a double battle if your held item is specifically for the Pokemon with symbiosis

A: Karrablast and Shellmet shed their shell/skin, and trade them during a trade, leading to Accelgor having Karrablast's skin, and vice versa. B: If there's a move that deals more damage with speed and it get's it, Accelgor's hidden ability will be SUPER useful.
Well, you're literally the first person I've ever heard of to care about qwilfish. But I admire your appreciation of it! My personal favourite forgettable fish pokemon is finneon/lumineon, they have some of the coolest designs/cries, even if they are pretty much competitively useless.
10:15 don't quote me on this, but im pretty sure this could be used in a type of gem combo EXAMPLE: samurott uses surf powered up with water gem, oranguru is also holding one which quadruples its power on top of the fact that it's STAB
Applying this to Accelgor, the result is that at it's highest, its max stat will be 425. Now double that, and you realize its HA is even BETTER than you thought

Here's a cool use for Symbiosis Oranguru: Have a Trick Room Oranguru with Life Orb use Bulldoze next to a max HP max attack Brave Bisharp with a Weakness Policy You will get +2 from Defiant thanks to the -speed of Bulldoze, +2 Thanks to WP activation, & at the end of the turn, you'll get a Life Orb
So when everyone else was making a living pokedex, I decided to use the bank to create a Hidden Ability Pokedex. I actually had most of the ones on the list already. Burmy though... I didnt have one of those, so I had to use the GTS. You can't see it anymore but for my old AS records, you can see I did at least 100 trades for Burmy. But I eventually got it. Now I have every single pokemon with an HA that's been released, except for a couple legendaries which is fine because I never use them anyway. Still, the one that took the most work ended up surprising me: Sudowoodo. Before sun/moon the only way to get one was in a horde battle in a forest, where it had a small chance of appearing along with four Trevenant. This took so long. To give you an idea... I found a shiny Trevenant before I found an HA Sudowoodo. And when I finalyl found a Sudowoodo with its HA, guess what else I found in the same battle? Another shiny Trevenant. Gamefreak trolled me hard that day.
I actually think Overcoat Escavalier is useful because it gives it an immunity to Spore. Regarding Shelmet and Karrablast, it makes sense because Karrablast is based on the snail-eating carabid, which steals snail shells to eat the snails themselves. On the same principle, Karrablast steals Shelmet's shell to evolve into Escavalier. Also regarding the speed doubling on Slurpuff and Accelgor, that's not how it works. Unburden doubles the Speed stat as shown on the summary screen, not the base stat itself. Jolly Slurpuff hits 267 Speed at level 100, assuming max EVs and IVs. This doubles to 534 when Unburden is activated. Timid Accelgor hits 427 Speed at level 100, again, assuming max EVs and IVs; this doubles to 854 with Unburden active.
These might be unavailable through Gen 6 and 7, but you actually can still get HA Patrat/Watchog. In B2W2, Hidden Grotto Pokémon always have their HA and Watchog is a possible encounter in them. Requires transferring, but still obtainable.
And with the Bank update yesterday, apparently all Pokémon that have HAs will receive them when transferred from a virtual console Gen 1 game. Making Omanyte/star, Kabuto/ps, Aerodactyl, the legendary birds, and Mewtwo's HAs available now.
Karrablast is based on a snail-eating beatle, and Shelmet is based on a snail. If you look at the body under Escavalier's armor, it looks like karrablast. I think it basically steals the shell. Accelgor is the evicted shelmet.
In competitive play, breloom w/ poison heal + toxic orb and oranguru with its hidden ability. Breloom uses toxic orb first turn, oranguru transfers it to a pokemon in battle and breloom is healed each turn by its poison!
I know someone has already said this probably, but the Kanto and Kalos starters can get their hidden abilities through catching them in friend safari in X/Y if they have them. You can find this out by using a trace mon, but I don't think this is something you wouldn't know ^^
The original Pokemon Gold and Silver are out, and if they follow the same pattern as Pokemon Red and Blue on the VC, then all of the Johto Pokemon you can transfer to Pokemon Bank will always have their hidden abilities so that shuts down your "You can't get it anymore" for Sentret and Furret. :)

Nice video! Although, I have an HA watchog from hidden grottos in BW2, which you can transfer up. You can also catch sentret in the gen 2 virtual console and it will have its HA if transferred to the gen 7 games.
Technically you actually can get some legendaries with their hidden abilities, if you have Pokemon Dream Radar, Bank, and B2/W2 (Specifically, Ho-oh if you have HG inserted, Lugia for SS, Dialga for Diamond, Palkia for Pearl, Giratina for Platinum, and then the game just gives you the Unova forces of nature).
Didn't take Black 2 and White 2's Hidden Grottos into account, either. Watchog has a 15% spawn rate in the grotto on Route 2, and a 4% spawn rate in Route 7's.
The Tapus as well as Heatran are the other number 1 hidden abilities that should be released. Also not to mention that dream ball palkia,dialga,giratina,Landorus,Thundurus and Tornadus are what people would pay for of what I heard
Another pokemon that you can no longer obtain with (one of) its hidden abilities: Chandelure with shadow tag. Back when chandelure first debuted in gen 5 it had this ability but couldn't legally obtain it. When gen 6 came around it allowed chandelure to have its hidden ability but they changed it to infiltrator
+Jrose11 I actually have every legally breedable Hidden Ability, including the fossils, starters, and Qwilfish. Once the Poke Bank updates, I'll be able to trade in earnest. What I'm interested in at this point is certain items (Lucky Eggs, Shed Shells, etc.) and certain pokemon in certain balls for when I get the Gen 7 breeding stock up and running.
With the bank opening up, Oranguru could make for a nasty option with that hidden ability. Rayquaza megas with Dragons Ascent and uses a berry or other item, then Oranguru passes it the z-crystal for something truly nasty

You are right. I misread the Bulbapedia article on No Guard (it was talking about a Gen IV bug), so yes, that is quite interesting.
I hope that GF makes it so fissure Machamp cannot have No Guard, if not then the entire meta will most likely revolve around scarf jolly machamp.

In the Gen 5 games the Litwick line originally had Shadow tag for its Hidden Ability
But it was never released, so it got replaced with Infiltrator in Gen 6

How the Shelmet + Karrablast evolution actually works: While trading, Shelmet drops his armor and and Karrablast picks it up. You can see a Escavalier essentially being a Karrablast with a shining armor equipped, while the little Shelmet freed itself from it, just to be an agile ninja now.

I actually got a HA Qwilfish in USUM when I put a HA Pidgey in the GTS (Bred from a RedBlue Pidgey I got from Wonder Trade) for a Qwilfish. I just wanted it cause it’s a cool mon.

I actually considered Qwilfish one of my least favourite Pokémon but this video enlightened me, it has a great movepool, I'd totally use one now, you know without the thing that you can't get one of the hidden ability, of course. You can find a Watchog with Analytic. They're in Black/White 2 in a hidden grotto somewhere in route 2. You can also find Ninoran boy and girl and a Granbull.
I actually did find a Watchog in a grotto once before with the hidden ability so I was confused on why it was in the list.

you should have put Chandelure as honorable mention because it's the (i think) only non legendary pokemon to have its hidden ability never released and swapped in the next game (shadow tag in gen V was never released and gen VI switched it for infiltrator)
Scolipede had Quick Feet switched for Speed Boost in X and Y.
I'm pretty sure that was available before the switch in Gen VI. The point is that Chandelure never did get Shadow Tag before it was changed for Infiltrator.

You can still get Watchog's hidden abilities in Black & White 2. In those games, they added hidden grottos around the Unova region, each with different possible Pokémon to be found. The Pokémon found in them all have their hidden abilities, and Watchog can be found on Route 2 & 7's hidden grottos.

6:18 Karrablast looks NOTHING like Accelgor
Just an FYI, you don't double the base speed stat when applying the Unburden ability, you double it's effective speed stat (the number found on the Pokemon's summary).
Example, a full invested (252) Jolly Slurpuff at Lvl. 50 has an effective speed of 136, with a base speed of 72. But after Unburden, it's effective speed doubles, and hits 272, which ends up being much faster than if you simply doubled it's base speed. 144 base speed with 252 Jolly ends up only hitting 215 effective speed.
You're 100% right, but it was just easier to show it like that, even though I knew it was kinda wrong.
I get where you're coming from, but there might be newer Pokemon players that watch your channel, so it's important to make sure you're showing correct information, at least in my opinion.

Symbiosis has a pretty niche role, but I can think of one pretty neat role for it: Belly Drum support. Lead in doubles with a Belly Drum Self Destruct Gluttony Snorlax (preferably with a pinch berry like Aguav or Figy), and a Symbiosis Oranguru holding a Normal Gem. Turn 1, Belly Drum and Trick Room. Snorlax gets to half health, either before or after the Belly Drum, and uses its berry to restore some HP there. The berry gets used, and the Normal Gem is handed off. Oranguru uses Trick Room, and Snorlax gets to move as one of the first Pokémon next turn, if not *the* first, for a +6 Self Destruct while Oranguru protects. Could act as a pretty strong lead, only problem is Ghost types or hard-hitting Fighting types.

Let Florges hold the Assault Vest, and Bouffalant the Power Herb. Bouffalant uses Skull Bash-->consumes Power Herb(free Defence boost)
Florgess will give the Assault Vest to Bouffalant(Sp. Def boost)
Now that that is done, let Florgess attack with Petal Blizzard, which in turn also raises Bouffalant Atk because of Sap sipper

Karablast and Shelmet interact when they are traded. The Karablast steals the Shelmet's armor to evolve during the trade. That is why they look they way they do.

Dude I love your vids, what Ive noticed about you compaired to similiar poketubers is that you can be fun to listen to, your voice and narration just entertains me some how its obvious you really love what you do and that helps me love it too. One thing id be really interested in seeing which I think you of all people could pull off well would be some kind of pokemon profile were you take under appreciated pokemon and make sets or give ideas on how to use them. Its just some food for thought but thanks alot for making the vids they are really great.

I know that this is a pretty old video but I think it should be changed to hidden abilities you can no longer get in the gen 5 through 7 games! The reason I would say that this only applies to those generations is because in gen 8 they introduced items that let you give any pokemon their hidden abilities if it has one!

For an update, you currently can get oranguru and passimian with HA through Pokemon bank.
HA Basculin is now available in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. :) Red form in US, blue form in UM. Also, I went back into my Black 2 just yesterday to catch a HA Watchog via Hidden Grotto.

If no one else has commented on this, here's how Symbiosis works: When an ally uses consumes their held item (like Focus Sash or the "pinch" berries), the Pokemon with Symbiosis gives their held item to their ally, assuming they have an item to give.
Any Gen I and II Pokemon can now be obtained with its HA through the VC releases of those games, and Basculin is available for SOS in USUM.
Also, Watchog was (and still is) available in BW2 Hidden Grottos.

It basically does what you said but only for attacks on the opposing Pokemon (even friendly ones), but most pokemon have abilities like Immunity that cure them even after being afflicted so it mostly is good for bypassing Mimikyu's Disguise and the many Levitate pokemon's immunity to ground moves.
Mold Breaker, as well as Turboblaze and Terabolt, negate the effects of the opponent´s ability when you attack. It´s mostly use to bypass the Levitate effect on mons weak to Ground, such as Weezing and Gengar on the day. It also ignores Mimkyu´s Disguise, but there is more abilities that can be ignored, such as Sturdy, Absorb (water, fire, etc), Mirror Coat... look it up, i just did and i´m amazed on how this works. Can give the user great advantge, since it can bypass even Shedninja´s Wonder Guard.
it's also great on kyurem black because ice beam can ignore dragonites multiscale and such

Hey, on Accelgor, I'd like to point out that abilities do not effect the base stat. They effect the actual stat. Say that a Pokemon has a speed stat of 6 when hatched. That will be doubled to 12.
Okay so, I'm a fucking expert on this topic. Mold Breaker Basculin can now be caught using SOS in USUM, with each color being exclusive to either Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon. Just as well, with the addition of the Kanto and Jhoto games on VC, all pokemon transferred from Gen 1 and 2 games to Gen 7 will have their HA, making the #1-251 in the nat dex obtainable. Also, the Sinnoh fossils can be obtained with their hidden abilities through an in-game trade with either Yancy or Curtis in Black 2 and White 2, and Watchog can be found with his HA through Black 2 and White 2's hidden grotto mechanic.
Here is the full list of pokemon who are currently unobtainable with their HA. This list does not count pokemon who's HA can only be found through the friend safari.

As a side note, I'm not sure if Super Size Pumpkaboo counts, as regular size can be caught in friend safari and Super Size with HA was only released via event, but there's some weird shit you can do with pumpkaboo breeding and i don't super understand how it works.

The reason why escavalier and accelegor look like that is because when shelter and karrablast are traded karrablast takes the armor and evolves with it while shelmet loses the armor and evolves
So you might not know this. Starmie run Analytic competitively because if a Pokemon switches out then Analytic kicks in. So the Pokemon coming in gets a full Analytic boosted move fired at them. That plus Life Orb hits like a truck. Each switch you force means a free Analytic boosted shot will hit the Pokemon coming in. This makes Analytic really good on a Sweeper. If you can force switches you are always getting a boost.

One really big one that you missed was Shadow Tag Chandelure. For those of you who don't know, Chandelure's hidden ability in gen 5 was the amazing Shadow Tag (which prevents your opponent from switching out), but Chendelure wasn't obtainable with its hidden ability in gen 5, and by the time gen 6 rolled around, they actually changed Chandelure's hidden ability. (to Infiltrator, which isn't nearly as good). So Chandelure technically has two hidden abilitied, but there's no legitimate way to get one with Shadow Tag.
So i am going to give you the reason what happens with shelmet and karrablast.
During the trade shelmet gives its armor that its wearing to karablast.
Which changes karrablast in to an super tanky fighter
And shelmet feels so light after the loss of its armor that it gets super speedy.
Tbh thats quite an cool piece of lore of pokemon if you ask me

You want to know something? In Gen 5, the Chandelure line has Shadow Tag as their Hidden Ability, but not only was it never related during that Gen, but in Gen 6, they changed it to Infiltrator.
Also, Raikou, Entei, and Suicune's Hidden Abilities of Volt Absorb, Flash Fire, and Water Absorb were never released. As of Gen 7, while they still haven't been released with their Hidden Abilities, it's been changed to Inner Focus for all three.
I believe Symbiosis works like this:
Lets say in a team battle you have a glutton snorlax with a wiki berry and oranguru with leftovers, snorlax uses bellydrum which activates its ability and it eats its berry, since snorlax used its item this then activates orangurus ability and gives snorlax its leftovers

Slight correction: Analytic is still accessible on Patrat and Watchog, as Watchog can be found in Hidden Grottoes in B2W2.
The way I am taking symbiosis is that if your partner Pokemon has an item and uses it, like a berry or something that is a one time thing and it's gone, your Pokemon then give that Pokemon their held item. Meaning if you and you partner don't make a battle plan around symbiosis then symbiosis will be more harmful to you in a double battle if your held item is specifically for the Pokemon with symbiosis

A: Karrablast and Shellmet shed their shell/skin, and trade them during a trade, leading to Accelgor having Karrablast's skin, and vice versa.
B: If there's a move that deals more damage with speed and it get's it, Accelgor's hidden ability will be SUPER useful.

Well, you're literally the first person I've ever heard of to care about qwilfish. But I admire your appreciation of it! My personal favourite forgettable fish pokemon is finneon/lumineon, they have some of the coolest designs/cries, even if they are pretty much competitively useless.
Gotta love Stunfisk, Ground/Electric type with the ability Limber. I'd pay money to see someone successfully paralyze that in an actual battle.

EXAMPLE: samurott uses surf powered up with water gem, oranguru is also holding one which quadruples its power on top of the fact that it's STAB
Applying this to Accelgor, the result is that at it's highest, its max stat will be 425. Now double that, and you realize its HA is even BETTER than you thought
With Gold and Silver being released and eventually Pokebank and Transporter updated, Furret and Qwilfish HA are now available alongside the Gen 1 Fossils in RBY on the 3DS VC
Also, to get Frisk Furret/Sentret just transfer it from GSC on VC

Have a Trick Room Oranguru with Life Orb use Bulldoze next to a max HP max attack Brave Bisharp with a Weakness Policy
You will get +2 from Defiant thanks to the -speed of Bulldoze, +2 Thanks to WP activation, & at the end of the turn, you'll get a Life Orb
So when everyone else was making a living pokedex, I decided to use the bank to create a Hidden Ability Pokedex. I actually had most of the ones on the list already. Burmy though... I didnt have one of those, so I had to use the GTS. You can't see it anymore but for my old AS records, you can see I did at least 100 trades for Burmy. But I eventually got it.
Now I have every single pokemon with an HA that's been released, except for a couple legendaries which is fine because I never use them anyway.
Still, the one that took the most work ended up surprising me: Sudowoodo. Before sun/moon the only way to get one was in a horde battle in a forest, where it had a small chance of appearing along with four Trevenant. This took so long.
To give you an idea... I found a shiny Trevenant before I found an HA Sudowoodo. And when I finalyl found a Sudowoodo with its HA, guess what else I found in the same battle?
Another shiny Trevenant. Gamefreak trolled me hard that day.
I actually think Overcoat Escavalier is useful because it gives it an immunity to Spore.
Regarding Shelmet and Karrablast, it makes sense because Karrablast is based on the snail-eating carabid, which steals snail shells to eat the snails themselves. On the same principle, Karrablast steals Shelmet's shell to evolve into Escavalier.
Also regarding the speed doubling on Slurpuff and Accelgor, that's not how it works. Unburden doubles the Speed stat as shown on the summary screen, not the base stat itself. Jolly Slurpuff hits 267 Speed at level 100, assuming max EVs and IVs. This doubles to 534 when Unburden is activated. Timid Accelgor hits 427 Speed at level 100, again, assuming max EVs and IVs; this doubles to 854 with Unburden active.
These might be unavailable through Gen 6 and 7, but you actually can still get HA Patrat/Watchog. In B2W2, Hidden Grotto Pokémon always have their HA and Watchog is a possible encounter in them. Requires transferring, but still obtainable.
And with the Bank update yesterday, apparently all Pokémon that have HAs will receive them when transferred from a virtual console Gen 1 game. Making Omanyte/star, Kabuto/ps, Aerodactyl, the legendary birds, and Mewtwo's HAs available now.
Karrablast is based on a snail-eating beatle, and Shelmet is based on a snail. If you look at the body under Escavalier's armor, it looks like karrablast. I think it basically steals the shell. Accelgor is the evicted shelmet.
In competitive play, breloom w/ poison heal + toxic orb and oranguru with its hidden ability. Breloom uses toxic orb first turn, oranguru transfers it to a pokemon in battle and breloom is healed each turn by its poison!
I know someone has already said this probably, but the Kanto and Kalos starters can get their hidden abilities through catching them in friend safari in X/Y if they have them. You can find this out by using a trace mon, but I don't think this is something you wouldn't know ^^
The original Pokemon Gold and Silver are out, and if they follow the same pattern as Pokemon Red and Blue on the VC, then all of the Johto Pokemon you can transfer to Pokemon Bank will always have their hidden abilities so that shuts down your "You can't get it anymore" for Sentret and Furret. :)
Wait. Hopefully the DW or friend safari makes a triumphant return. These guys, starters, and fossils should be accounted for here.

Nice video! Although, I have an HA watchog from hidden grottos in BW2, which you can transfer up. You can also catch sentret in the gen 2 virtual console and it will have its HA if transferred to the gen 7 games.
Technically you actually can get some legendaries with their hidden abilities, if you have Pokemon Dream Radar, Bank, and B2/W2 (Specifically, Ho-oh if you have HG inserted, Lugia for SS, Dialga for Diamond, Palkia for Pearl, Giratina for Platinum, and then the game just gives you the Unova forces of nature).
Didn't take Black 2 and White 2's Hidden Grottos into account, either. Watchog has a 15% spawn rate in the grotto on Route 2, and a 4% spawn rate in Route 7's.
The Tapus as well as Heatran are the other number 1 hidden abilities that should be released. Also not to mention that dream ball palkia,dialga,giratina,Landorus,Thundurus and Tornadus are what people would pay for of what I heard

You can still technically get HA Watchog, it can be found in a hidden grotto in B2/W2 on Route 2. It's rare, but you can still get it.

Another pokemon that you can no longer obtain with (one of) its hidden abilities: Chandelure with shadow tag. Back when chandelure first debuted in gen 5 it had this ability but couldn't legally obtain it. When gen 6 came around it allowed chandelure to have its hidden ability but they changed it to infiltrator
+Jrose11 I actually have every legally breedable Hidden Ability, including the fossils, starters, and Qwilfish. Once the Poke Bank updates, I'll be able to trade in earnest. What I'm interested in at this point is certain items (Lucky Eggs, Shed Shells, etc.) and certain pokemon in certain balls for when I get the Gen 7 breeding stock up and running.
With the bank opening up, Oranguru could make for a nasty option with that hidden ability. Rayquaza megas with Dragons Ascent and uses a berry or other item, then Oranguru passes it the z-crystal for something truly nasty

The gen 4 fossils can be gotten with hidden abilities in pokemon black 2 and white 2. Yancy/Curitis gives you one depending on your gender.
