The choir at the beginning is deeply moving.
Without cannons, but one of the greatest versions presented of 1812.
there are cannons, represented by the bass drum
@@jameerlawrencebondoc8162 Cannons are cannons; drums are drums : - One thing is a thing; another thing is another thing. Bass drum don´t represent cannons. Soon . . . .
@@eduardomendonca8798 yes
@@eduardomendonca8798tbh I feel like the cannons take away from the overture, and even Tchaikovsky felt that way.
¡Fantástico!... - Desde La Patagonia, Arg.
In the original Russian?!? I have never heard it in the original Russian before! Beautiful!
Yes! And thank you!
@mordechai. It's actually in the original Church Slavonic.

Magnífica versión gran coro
Hymn at the beginning (God Preserve Thy People).
Grant salvation to Thy people, Lord,
and we pray Thee bless thine inheritance, O God.
Grant vict'ry to those who fight to save our righteous faith and our dear sacred land.
and from all evil deliver us.
Then the guardian of perfect grace, the cross will forever be.
The cross will forever be
The cross will be, the cross.
Then at measure 358, right after the long descending passage, the exciting conclusion (God Preserve Thy People/God Save the Tsar).
Grant salvation to Thy people, Lord,
and we pray Thee bless thine inheritance, O God.
Grant vict'ry to those who fight to save our righteous faith and our dear sacred land.
And we pray Thee bless thine inheritance, our dear sacred land, our sacred land.
God save our sacred land.
God grant us vict'ry , vict'ry against our foe!
God save our sacred land!
Give Us Peace!
I really like this rendition of the piece.
Prachtig ! Beautiful !
Ich stimme Ihnen zu!. Hervorragend! Magnifique !
Thank you Igor Buketoff!
The choral always brings be to tears. The Russians army praying as Napolean advanced upon them.
"napolean"
Beautifully executed!!!!! I love it!!
Bellísima
Established as a fine piece of work. Thank you god bless indeed 🙏
Well done .....Thank You
17:29 Wait...here comes the crescendo !!!!
Fantastic !!!
Love from Moscow
The stomps work very well as a cannon replacement, well done!
The flat at 1:31 is spot on.
SPECTACULAR
Where are the strong Baritone/Bass voices in the beginning? Sounds kind of incomplete without that deep undertone.

I’m trying to find the orchestra parts to Buketoff’s edition. Does anyone know where to find them?
They are the same. However, at the beginning, the cellos do not play the choral parts, and when the children's choir sings, the wind instruments who usually play the melody generaaly do not play. Other than that, there are no differences of which I am aware.
@@deanwilliams2353 Mr Williams I think you are quite correct
Mr Mejias, I used to have it. If I find it, we'll be in touch.
I would liten to this. Prioe to going in to battle in Vietnam.
14:25 is the finale
Napoleon kaput! )
A bit slow, however. This normally doesn't run over 15-or 16-minutes. ALSO, the musicians and chorus seem tired, bored, uninspired. Really too bad. Perhaps they rehearsed a bit too much. Normally this is one of my very favorite pieces.
I agree. I had great hopes for this, having only recently discovered the choral version, but I found this version too mechanical and lacking passion.
@@chrisnabavi1490 Try the choral version by Andrew Litton, it is amazing!!!
The first part needs to be slow, yet I agree - from the boy's choir ("u vorot") up to when they get to the "Bozhe tsarya khrani" bit they should be IN FLAMES as they're winning a was against bloody Napoleon. Instead, they drag. Eighteen minutes for this piece sound as ludicrous as Lenny Bernstein's eight ones for Elgar's "Nimrod".
@@chrisnabavi1490 Listen to Ashkenazy's interpretation
This is not Igor Buketoff's arrangement as the description claims. There are some very noticeable differences and this version is worse overall.
1:52 bass player is laughing.
Don't worry. He is now chopping logs in Siberia :-)

masz rację, mocno nie dopracowana i dziwaczna
great!can be more powerful!!
Too slow and nice to see all the choir well turned out so well, but 3 boys let the choir down, the rest made great effort to wear either neck tie, black or white tie and the 3 just did not bother at all.
MELC YELMUR okay boomer
Sorry, your comment is beyond stupid.
Who gives a shit what the choir is wearing?
