The music is amazing. The filming is really bad. I really wish when new instruments were introduced or a new main part started playing they would zoom in on those individuals. But they rarely do that! It's disappointing really. E.g. 9:11, where is the tambourine sound coming from, who is playing it??
Flawless execution, and I'm no expert, but in my humble opinion, larger string, brass and drum sections et cetera would fill the music out. To me, it sounded flawless, but understaffed by musicians. Twice the violins, chellos or whatnot would have been a "richer" sound. Well done tho!
Great performance by Gary Kulesha and the Calgary Philharmonic. I hope that the director of the video returned to covering football games after this.
This is the best sounding performance of the 1812 Overture that I found on youtube. Congrats!

Very good, but I prefer The London Philharmonic Ochestra version.
Flawless music wise, but being conducted much too slow removed the raw emotion from the entire piece.
