This house is so nice! No over-designing but a very nice and coherent theme. So nice to see the incorporation of an air well - makes the home feel that much more liveable!
the airwell is most people's dream. You can close all the windows, doors facing the public spaces and yet still being able to get natural light as well as natural airflow into the house. brilliant.
Somehow the design, layout and choice of materials have a very familiar retro Singaporean thing about them. It kinda reminds me of the public buildings built in the 80s/90s in Singapore (e.g. the old red brick public library)... it makes sense with our climate and personally, it's really nostalgic, comforting and yet still stylish and practical all at the same time.
Wow. I really like what the architects have designed here. It would be nice to introduce and bring in the architects who designed it and hear from them what were the thoughts behind those designs instead of introducing this house like you’re selling it.
I was so excited for the view when I saw the greenery from the kitchen, but so sad when the master room balcony had a power line tower right smack there lol.
charming and unpretentious! feels like a home and not a showroom 😄 i especially love the bricks! given that they need to be shipped from China and painstakingly laid from ground up, i suppose $1.7 million isn't that unreasonable
@1:38, I can imagine insects and other critters in among the footwear. 😬 Needs the addition of mesh to keep them out. Love the sliding doors that can close off the kitchen from the living room.
Interesting design concept. Like how the indoor courtyard brings in natural lighting to the inward facing room! 6:58 the shots of the en suite to the kid’s room seem to be of another bathroom tho? Since it’s inward facing, odd place for a window. From the floor plan it looks like both shots of the bathroom are the master en-suite bathroom (taken from where the bath tub / shower are)? Just curious cos the perspectives shown didn’t seem to gel with the floor plan.
This house is so nice Thank you for the tour. Can you please tell us if the internal walls are also made up with bricks ? If yes, what are the finitions? @stackedHomes
Not bad....but something i learned over the years.. never get a dining table with clear glass top...the guests dont say it but they aren't ' comfortable ' with that .. the bathrooms with the small square tiles... is a mold nightmare ! top marks for incorporating bricks... just love it.. not common and timeless...
Stacked homes needs to understand what a well designed home is. You should consider bringing a professional onboard instead of using a host who faffs over unnecessary details. This home may be considered unique to some but it isn’t exactly well designed.
Its a beautiful design indeed but I cant help to think how the bricks will hold up with dust, mold and possibly algae that accumulates over time due to our tropical weather.

White can never go wrong and fit into any desired setting. Surprisingly, the penthouse level belongs to the domestic helper, how fortunate.

That helper's room looks better than my studio apartment god damn son

Hey Reuben , Whats the plot dimension
Are they referring to USD?
SGD i believe
Yes in SGD. All our homes are in Singapore and so they are in SGD :)
Holy damn that's a lot of money. Construction prices have inflated drastically over the years, curious how exactly that was divided to add up to 1.7M$
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
making a guess...jalan chengkek...lol
