- It is important to understand the update parameters involved in the project schedule update process. Once coordination has occurred among the project teams and members involved, the project scheduler will update the Primavera P6 schedule with the updates, progress the data date (current status date), and then reschedule the project. Finally, the detailed analysis will be performed, followed by running the schedule health reports for the teams. Sir, Its Compulsory during the updating time of ongoing schedule to make copy of the project without base line and then and then assign base line and for updating now start updating
No, making a copy of the schedule is not necessary; however, it is recommended as a precaution.
Because if a problem occurs during the updates and you are unable to resolve the error, you have the most recent updated file in the backup...

1. Why you used %Physical for calculating, why not Duration % or Units % ? Also in case of Physical %, resources were not updated.
2. For comparison with baseline you used % units Complete instead of Performance % complete.
Please explain
We chose physical% complete since the update we received from the site is in the physical; if we update the duration of units and the settings applied to your primavera p6, we may not get accurate results.
However, updating the units/duration is also appropriate; hence, if you are updating the physical, please update your remaining duration and units.
We don't remember what we mentioned in the video because it was uploaded a long time ago; please send us screenshots over WhatsApp and we will assist you.
It is not necessary to utilize only performance % for comparison; any percentage can be used, depending on the schedule strategy.

If you’re updating progress of activity is 50% then why is not calculating your actual units accordingly
Might be we were updating the Physical or duration percent complete, that’s why Primavera P6 is not calculating the units.
If we will update the unit’s percent complete then it will update the units.
Sir! Must we schedule each time we complete a particular activity before we update or any work day that passes by we update
A schedule doesn't have to be run after every activity update. Typically, the schedule is executed both before and after.
