I love Belstaff. Their "Icons"-models in leather or oilskin I find really well made and cool retro design with modern fitting. The modern design are definitely for city-slickers and the occasionally show off ride on the bike up High-street. They do not hide the fact that most is made in Romania, except leather which seems to made in Italy. But why should they ? The quality in front of you is what matters. The fact that brands like Barbour, Belstaff, Goverall and Harris Tweed succeeds in moving with the times is good news. I miss Dunn & Co, still remember my visits to their stores in Glasgow as a student in early -90's. They did not make it. I have a classic blazer in the old navel tradition that still fits. A nice usable memorabilia.

I have 6 different Barbour oilskin jackets (...no - I do not agree that is too many...but I see your point) Not one have the country of production on any label. I’m very happy with design and quality, but having a sneaking suspicion that they are trying to hide something.
