- Here's a slightly longer bit on melody and improvising from today's lesson. The question was, “When you’re playing and improvising over a song, do you tend to sing what you want to hear, in your mind? How do you think about it in terms of deciding what you’re going to do?” I used various improvisations on "Bury Me Beneath the Willow" to answer the question.
I've been enjoying doing a limited number of private lessons each week and will continue through May. The sign-up link is here: ronblock.com/p...
We can talk about anything you'd like, from getting a strong tone, developing steady timing, taste, how I study the neck, right hand workouts, transcribing, or whatever you'd like. We'll tailor it to you - the objective is to give you more tools to improve and expand your playing, and we'll give you enough to work on for a good long while. Available at the introductory price for a short time.
I love how this guy speaks in solos and everybody understands what he's saying.
Ron your a musical genius and without you Union Station would be like a train without it's Steam Locomotive - You are the driving force behind the success of the band . I play guitar too , haven't mastered it yet . God Bless . 🇨🇦☮️🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🏆🎗🎸✨
