The guts of my playing - right hand - come from Scruggs, Crowe, the Jimmy Martin banjoists, Terry Baucom, and that whole school. My left hand uses techniques I've learned from electric guitarists like Larry Carlton, Pat Metheny, and blues and rock players. I listen widely. But my banjo center is in the aforementioned butt-kickers.
