This is like listening to basketball talk, just fascinating. Besides those albums I bought a DVD of 2003 concert where Arthur Lee and his band play the Forever Changes album. I really enjoyed it. Thanks, Chris
Hello Bo; Love one of the greatest bands of the 60's. The first four LP's show Arthur Lee's diverse songwriting abilities. Liked Bryan McLean's also. The band dressed independently of one another wearing clothing that encompassed the seasons, no uniformity. The Signed DC influence on the Moodies ( Nights) to the title association between the Beatles For Sale & Love's Four Sail. Intentional or not we may never know. Leave it to Arthur. Good video, informative. Tina & Pat!~
Love could have really been big IMHO. But fear and drugs ruined what should have been a good thing. I wish Bryan and Arthur would have seen more eye to eye and worked closely instead of letting petty jealousy create riffs.
Nice one Bo. Da Capo was the introduction for me. Coincidentally, Orange Skies was the one someone played for me and it got interesting immediately, so I bought the German 80's reissues, which I kept aside from getting US copies later on. Oh and by the way, love the Marantz. The beauty of the 70's!
Great video Bo...RIP To The Great Arthur Lee 🙏, if I remember right there's a great little hidden Easter egg at the end of that DVD, I can't remember how I found it, I'm thinking it was Ron at Hog's Ear who found it and posted it on one of his video's. Anyway LOVE the tribute to the great band "LOVE"!!
Oh man, now I need to rewatch it. Do you remember what the Easter egg was? Well, if not, research for the weekend. So many members of this band have passed now. But Johnny Echols keeps the home fires burning.

I’ve seen that footage. He had a nice resurgence for a time.

Great choice to get you started. I think Bryan should have had more songs on those albums. I liked his solo output. Yes indeed, the Marantz is iconic.
