Two things i've learnt 1) This needs counterweights if your device is on the light side. I bought some and that solves a lot of pan axis problems. 2) adjust the weight setting in the Gimbal.

remove the little bump that prevents you from sliding to the one side. I used a dremel with a sanding tube accessory unit. Works perfect now. I use sony 6000 and 6300 with kit lens and other lenses, no problem
thank you for the tutorial! I am actually having trouble with the Pan axis.. I can't balance it properly. I guess it's because Im using a Sony a6300 with the kit lens which is too small for the gimbal. Any adivice on what should I do to achieve a perfect balance? thanks in advance, Marc
@@KIRKAUDIOVISUALREEL how did you do it? I’m having a hard time with the pan access There’s like a little bump underneath it that prevents you from going to “5” on the measurement thingy. I’m thinking of sanding that piece off so I can scoot it back more to “5”. (I’m using a canon sl2 with a kit lens)
Mate, I use a Sony A7s2 with FE28f2 lens. But there's simply no room for stabilizing the Yaw axis. I go as far as I can (a round 4,3) it still lean towards the right. Have you had this problem or heard about it? The axis of the top are perfect balanced but the yaw, apparently for this setup is impossible to balance
I am using this Gimble with Canon EOS M50. I managed to balance the top part perfectly, but looks impossible to balance the last part like you did starting @ 3:30. I pushed it back all the way to a little more than the four mark and still the back piece motor going down (unfortunatley can't push it further back to five mark). Any thought please help
Every time I balance mine, it looks like it's all balanced and then I'll move it around, but it'll spin around and my camera won't stay in the centre. Then I'll turn it on and I can hear the motor, it makes like a loud noise. I'm having a real hard time with this. Any tips on what I might be doing wrong?
On the bottom pan axis why do they give you up to five but you can only go up to four because there’s a little thing at the bottom blocking it from going any further back

How do you adjust the weight setting?

You add more or remove

You mean removing that little thing on the bottom axis would work? Really?)

So the M50 might be way to light for the gimbal.
I have the same problem with an a6400
chuck fals Which lens are you using?
I found a solution, I got a free quick release plate with the gimbal that added serious weight (it's a full metal plate) now it balances fine
