    I don’t see why being thick behind the edge is bad for this knife. It’s not supposed to be a slicer it’s supposed to be a heavy user.

      My thoughts exactly. I have other knives that are great slicers, this isn’t and I don’t think that was the intention.

    Mini Adamas yeah just bought one of those. Man I can't imagine what that cruwear will do when I introduce her to KME.

    My full size adamas actually came with a decently steep factory edge. I fixed the wonky tip, went ahead and worked on the edge to bring it up to spyderco medium and fine stones, and it goes through cardboard like a laser. For as thick as it seems it cuts very, very well. It's fighting for space in my pocket with my shamans.... And I LOVE my shamans.

    Have you done the same testing on a S30V blded knife? The Last Boy Scout did a test ...carving a twig into a fork...using a Bugout (base model)...he said the found 2 chips on the cutting edge...is CruWare superior ?
    do a knife steel comparison video...S30V vs S35V vs S110v vs MagnaCut, S90V, M4... :)

    I have both full size and mini. The mini is way thicker behind the edge than the full size. Both still cut very well in my opinion. Better than m4. I have both knives in flat earth cerakote. The gritty finish went very smooth after a few dozen passes through cardboard and cuts like dream. There is one guy out there on youtube who seemed actually angry at his full size adamas. Said it cuts like a baseball bat. My full size cuts like a laser anything you put in front of it. The mini too for that matter.

    So which knife is better?

    My Mini Adamas cuts like butter, as well as any knife I have. It easily slices through paper like it’s nothing. And anything else I cut with it. And the blade is as tuff as nails.

    Don't bother with Benchmade. They burn the crap out of those edges and don't give a damn about heat treatment and performance.

    • @optimuscrime608
      @optimuscrime608 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea… That must explain why they have some of the best heat treated s30v out there🤷🏻‍♂️🙄

    • @tacticalcenter8658
      @tacticalcenter8658 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@optimuscrime608 they have some good s30v when its in optimal range and the edges aren't severally burnt from factory sharpening. Same with the m4. Stack Metallurgy do benchmades heat treat for them.

    • @FT4Freedom
      @FT4Freedom 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      CtuWear temper is at 1000. Very high temper for a knife steel. Kind of difficult to burn.

    • @tacticalcenter8658
      @tacticalcenter8658 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FT4Freedom my statement is general of the brand. Yes a higher temper on the cruwear will help with the grinding heat, but not with all there steels from benchmade. But they generally dont do amazing overall. Poor 3v and m390 performance from the protocol that stack metallurgy use. The cm154 would be good if they didn't burn it. If they don't burn the edge bad and you sharpen out most of it, and they hit hrc target, benchmades s30v is decent. But a larger percentage won't be that great.
      Then on top of all that, the poor QC out of the factory is sad. I mean its better than bucks QC out of the factory but lol.

      @52maq52 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, the cruewear on these everybody seems to enjoy. Haven’t seen complaints online regard QC on cruewear either. Not much evidence of your statement.
