12:44 There is a setting in the game called “extended burn indicator” that tells you exactly when to burn the engines to get the most precise burn. Not turned on by default for some reason and not as precise as guidance mods like mechjeb but very useful for transfer burns and long burns in stock ksp. And, if you’re fine with not playing full stock, there is a mod called “bettertimewarp” that allows you to time warp at whatever speed you want. Engine plates are the soltion to the problem of unequal heights! they have stadard sizes instead of conforming to the length of the engine. It also allows you attach more engines to the bottom of a fuel tank. Literally the best part in the game
This gives me an idea, I wonder if you could land a Kerbal on ALL of the moons in the system with ONE rocket. I have no idea how easy/hard this would be. It might even require mining for fuel, who knows.

2:52 in the video where you only used monopropellant to make a rocket you got your rocket to hover in place for about a second by activating your landing gear to launch you into the air, you should try making a hovercraft like vehicle using this method. :)
Man, I'd love to see you play From the Depths, not for making engines out of cannons and stuff, but just because you can make some mad looking vehicles in it
I had an idea a few years ago but nobody did it, but the idea was to make a rocket/plane with only *1* of every part. Only 1 of every antenna, fuel tank, engine, decoupler, command pod, etc. you cannot have, say, two struts. Only one of everything. Your planetary destination is your choice.
If you hit the arrow in the top left while you are building, it brings up different ways to sort the parts - one of them let's you sort by diameter, so that would help you find the right size fuel tanks for those engines you couldn't see them for
have u done a video where u visit as many places as possible? like land and leave each place till ur outta fuel or wreck? if u complete them then try to return home maybe?
You could use engine plates instead of the separators, and right click on them to change the length of the shroud. This means that there wont be a difference in heights.
to make it more efficient and more aesteticly plesant, you could have done a mothership that has many landers with different engines that would be used to go all around kerbol
FYI some of the engine variants have vastly different sizes, the “poodle” engine has a *long* mode that could help

I actually accidentally ended up doing this
You should try and make a rocket that stops and drops a lander at every planet in one trip

The beauty of good writing has truly been revealed.
you're
I just love these KSP and challenge videos where you try to force real engineering onto video game physics
mmm.. black hole?
this somehow worked out better than I thought it would. Also looking at the whole thing, if you hadn't thrown away those awful xenon engines you might've been able to land back on kerbin
Potentially. I think more aggressive gravity assists would have done it too, but I ran out of time to try again.
Quite understandable, having time for some new Projects is better than extending an already 16 hour recording session any longer.
Engine plates are the soltion to the problem of unequal heights! they have stadard sizes instead of conforming to the length of the engine. It also allows you attach more engines to the bottom of a fuel tank. Literally the best part in the game
if you're worried about SRBs hitting your craft, use sepratrons, its the entire purpose of the sepratron

The poodle engine has a second variation with a single larger nosecone
All you have to do is change the color for some reason
I really recommend the Planetshine mod, a lot of people use it and it allows you to easily change the brightness of the dark side of planets
Yoooo i love ksp!
Youre definitely my favourite youtuber. Keep it up!!
that's a lot of engines

When I play this I always use more than 8 types of engines
I like using 1 lol
@@ReidCaptain gives me horrible flashbacks to the monopropellant video...
From the perspective of Laythe's inhabitants, you pulled up into orbit, launched four missiles at them, then left.
the most kerbal rocket.
Always a good day when Reid uploads :)
10:48 the entire problem was that it WASN’T weak.
I love how he is starting to upload a lot more! Keep it up! 😊

There are tanks for 3.75m engines and the poodle engine has a second configuration which is taller

hello reid captain, love your KSP videos!
Hey, thanks!
make a rocket with reverse staging i mean bottom part is payload
I died when the lander sunk a laythe and they just went “I was really happy with that successful landing”
> adds stacks of decouplers to "even out the height"
> wonders why the rocket is floppy
This man not only used every engine, he visited multiple planets as well!
Shocked at how well all that worked, haha
14:19 that was a great jumpscare!
This video was great i watched it in its entirety i promise!
Sure, just at 800% speed lol
@@ReidCaptain distorted time and space to be able to watch this wonderful content more efficiently!
For the first landing, you could have rightclicked the vector and turned down the gimbal limit, it would have been able to land
14:20 "Sir, we are detecting a massive object emerging from hyperspace"
this is the very definition of "MOAR BOOSTER!"
My personal highlight here was the Laythe jump scare
This is such a cool and innovative game.
If you hit the arrow in the top left while you are building, it brings up different ways to sort the parts - one of them let's you sort by diameter, so that would help you find the right size fuel tanks for those engines you couldn't see them for

I don’t know why it’s so satisfying when he said nose cone
you ended up doing a lot of things lol
nice video tho
I like how hes doing all these challenges and im struggling to get on minmus
It looks like some sort of post apocalyptic rocket attempt
Something with Hitchhiker storage containers. I love them, 100% favourite crew capsule. Why? Idk. It just looks kinda cozy in there.
useful for space stations and large bases.
have u done a video where u visit as many places as possible? like land and leave each place till ur outta fuel or wreck? if u complete them then try to return home maybe?
oh god this looks HIDIOUS i love it
it actually looks kinda cool

the laythe jump scare lol
alright now make a rocket that uses only one of every part in the game

You should apply this same concept but in Besiege. Make a machine or car using every mechanical part?

Imagine trying to launch a rocket with every part in KSP
The swivel engine is more efficient in a vacuum than the reliant but less efficient in the atmosphere
You could use engine plates instead of the separators, and right click on them to change the length of the shroud. This means that there wont be a difference in heights.
Can you try to land on any celestial body you like, just by using mass drivers?
Next, make a rocket with every part

you make ksp look easy.
Video idea: make an airplane and circle the world
to make it more efficient and more aesteticly plesant, you could have done a mothership that has many landers with different engines that would be used to go all around kerbol
I'm surprised he could keep up with where to put things and what rockets were already put down.
2:55 If I'm not wrong the second mode for the "Poddle" is very similar to the "Skiff" one
Idea: Make a rocket using only the Sepretron! Heck yeah
Ludicrous Speed GO!
Make a rocket with every KSP pieces :o
I think you should try to use only puff engines to get to anywhere
idea: make the slowest possible rocket without running out of fuel
You should make a mothership that has little ships or landing craft and have to land at least one ship on every planet
You should do a challenge where you have to land on every planet or as many as possible
Make a rocket or plane with EVERY part
Use engine plates instead of decouplers to have the same height
The Rocket should be named "Lord chungas"
This is the most kerbal thing ever 🤣🤣🤣
Create a rocket designed to fly to, land on, drop off a small base onto, and then take off from every single planet and moon
At 2:16 you could use engine plates and set the heights to be the same
Next try lunching a rocket with all the fuel tanks
Go to Moho using only spark engines and it has to be FULLY reusable. (Optional: reaction wheels are aloud)
Moho might be a bit too much
Suggestion:only biggest engine
oh so now i under stand how to go to laythe and what rocket to use
Reliant is more efficient at sea level, while swivel is more efficient in a vacuum
nice
All the original ksp players are tearing their hair out watching all your videos...
