Thinking of trying out The Enjenir next, thoughts? Only issue is that the sandbox isn't included in the playtest/demo, so it might be a little different than usual
Even if you think it doesn't fit your consept, I would love to see you play it. Sometimes differences are good 👍 And I want to see how efficient you can build things in that game. Love ❤
A real revolver uses a simple lever connected to the trigger that rotates the cylinder. A small nub on the back of the trigger applies rotational force to a nub on the hammer, and once the hammer is a certain distance back, the Trigger nub slips, sending the hammer forward on a loaded chamber. I think with some reinforcement on the lever and the nubs, it would work much better than this. Another thing is, you can add a spring notch system on the cylinder that locks it into place and disengages via a slope when it starts rotating again.
I love how you worked out "Rifling" without a barrel, there are groves carved out in the barrel in a spiral fashion to make the bullet spin mid-air, similar to the propellers function of making it spin.
@@cerealguy6359 AP would reduce damage. Generally using FMJ rounds, the most appropriate round, it took about 8-10. AP means straight pass throughs, i.e less overall damage to the target.
@@amhuman5138 I mean, Emu’s are pretty different from Humans, the accounts from the Great Emu War compare them to organic tanks, of course during those times a modern .50 BMG could break the whole tank in half (over-exaggerating) but still, they took like 3 shots from a Lewis I’m pretty sure, or somewhere around there.
I don't know if it would be too much work, but here is an idea: Every build could have two versions: One with Unbreakable off, and one with it on. Basically, you could make a build, same as you do now. And then, you could do a version with unbreakable of the same build. This version wouldn't need to worry about things such as catching fire, broken panelling, etc. And would be a good way to see how far you can push the concept without worrying about the limitations of the available materials. But, it's just an idea. Awesome video as always 👍🏻
I dropped my phone down the side of my couch when he was trying to find a way to rotate the cyliner, and then as i pick it up, i see he has basically reinvented the Webley Fosbery revolver
all the bullets firing at once is an actual trait that revolvers have obviously its not intentional but its why you don't see people put the hands on the barrel of a revolver, because you risk losing your hand.
just turn the revolver upside down and now flaming bits can't fall on other bullets. I'm sure there were some firearms that did that in the past too, so you could still say it's realistic.
The issue with guns in games like this is that you can really add rifling to the barrel to add spin (thus a straighter bullet). You have to make the individual bullets have wings or something like that
Hey reid, came to tell you something, the blades normally are powered by a wheel, which works but it creates a torque, but if you put a unpowered wheel it doenst spin the creation so i hope you see this comment

The zig-zag rig actually reminds me of a Webley-Fosberry revolver
Thank You!
you should try and make a nuke😊
yes
Fun fact: Early revolvers also suffered from the problem of ‘cooking off’ every round at once. You were more accurate than you thought
@dominicbrunsmeier7070 It be called both, yeah
Hear me out: a grenade, or if that’s to easy a grenade launcher
Dont they have grenades in the game? Or am i thinking of something else
@@jc_art_ They do have grenades in the game but he was probably thinking a custom designed grenade using bombs.
@@jc_art_ in fact, around 2:30ish when RC was prototyping the bullets, he tries a grenade

@@isaacmgonja1971 Okay buddy, how would you help him create a more functional revolver in besiege? I'd love to hear it.
No idea if this is even possible, but I would love to see a walker/strandebeast machine in Besiege
It's possible, there's a couple of those on the workshop. Would be fun to see him build one though.
strandbeast that can transform into an ornithopter.
That would probably be a nightmare to make honestly.
@RepentandbelieveinJesusChrist5 Hail satan.
a revolver with a 30% chance of destroying itself with every use, I love it

SIX BULLETS. MORE THAN ENOUGH TO KILL ANYTHING THAT MOVES.
Emu. Cant kill one with just 6. It's about 8-10 AP rounds they're walking tanks

The winged bullets are hilarious to me. If you can’t rifle the barrel, just rifle the bullets haha
that mechanism you used to rotate the cylinder is realy neat I think I remember seeing something kinda similar inside a nerf gun.
That’s what I was about to say
Some actual revolvers have a similar mechanism. The webley-fosbery is a good example.

I would love to see a comically large door with a working lock and a key to go with it please!
A cool revolver that also simulates chain-fire, that’s pretty cool.
truly an incredible design of an old timey revolver, its bulky as hell and might blow your hand off. just like the real thing
I dropped my phone down the side of my couch when he was trying to find a way to rotate the cyliner, and then as i pick it up, i see he has basically reinvented the Webley Fosbery revolver
The spinning bullet thing is why guns have rifling etching in the barrel an actual bullet wouldn't be accurate without its spinning momentum.
all the bullets firing at once is an actual trait that revolvers have obviously its not intentional but its why you don't see people put the hands on the barrel of a revolver, because you risk losing your hand.
You know it’s a good day when Reid captain uploads
This thing works alot like a black powder revolver. It works fine most of the time, but if unlucky the entire thing blows up in your hands.
interesting design, in single action revolvers, the rotation of the cylinder is initiated by the operation of the hammer rather than the trigger
Firearms are awesome. Only thing is that you need to care about powder staying dry when crossing a river.
Simply the most prominent dilemma soldiers stumble upon
Have you considered a metalic self contained cartridge?
Have you considered a metallic self contained cartridge?
Fun fact, a lot of revvers are single action which would have made your rotation issue not as big
"there aint enough room in this town for my gun"
ReidCaptain in 2 years:
Today I'll be making the Patriot system in Besiege

Reid Captain: this works but it looks bad so I'm gonna start from scratch again for no reason

The man of zink and copper beated you to it
It'd be interesting to see a train with rails, I think I've never seen anyone doing a railway in Besiege lol
As always crazy builds from this guy lol
that mechanism with the grooves and the slots reminded me of the pancor jackhammer and it's funky cylinder design

Can you make a weapon that just destroys everything in a general direction
Make the hindenberg or something like that next

You should try making a computer in this, just like you did in poly bridge
Webley prototyping his revolver 1900 colorized
what a fucking cool mechanism

chimken burger
Sir you should look at the webley fosbery automatic revolver. It uses a similar mechanism for advancing the cylinder
I'm still waiting for that particle accelerator. Or that nuclear reactor >:((((((
I loved the bomber plane that you made, how about something like a 747 with bombs?
so realistic its even got chainfire!
RC just invented an automatic revolver lol
It's ironic that the revolver will sometimes fire all its cartridges at once. that's a hazard with real revolvers too, though it's very rare

fyi suspension with a spring constant of zero works WAY more consistently than sliders.
