Thank you for this video! (And all the others!) I can definitely say I’ve wanted “the answers” to a lot of these questions and your insight and description in this video has made more sense and brought a beautiful peace to me instead of trying to be the “rightest” one in the land. 😂 Thank you!
The concept of binding and loosing that is developed by the local community. Applying the writings to that culture to our culture is the struggle. Yet, if we are in fellowship with one another, even though they loosen things we bind, will help us all see and understand the text better and help with how we apply it to our culture.
Please be educated. Catholics are the FIRST followers of Christ. The name Christian described early believers who were martyred by the Roman authorities because they refused to worship Caesar as God & Roman idols. Might be a good idea to visit the catacombs where the bodies of Christians were buried & the sacrament of the Last Supper was offered.
I don't want to be argumentative and I want to be respectful. But humbly consider your own education. The early church looked vastly different than the church that met at the counsel of Nicea. And the current Catholic church is unrecognizable from Nicea. The writings of Polycarp and Justin the Martyr are helpful here, along with the book of Acts. The reason Protestantism happened is because there was a realization that there was a huge shift that occurred in the church over time that wasn't part of the original intention of Yeshua's church. Not that I agree with everything in Protestantism, far from it, but understanding that none of this is black and white and we are all trying to connect with God's intention. But all of us miss the mark in one way or another which has lead to division in the church. The Catholic church is not immune from this.

Bringing it back to episode 2 and knowing when to say enough!
