In many of these comments there is a great deal of ignorance regarding life on an Island . Having lived on Martha’s Vineyard and run a business in Bermuda it takes a certain perspective and approach to life “ at sea” . Yes you can get Island fever where you just have to leave occasionally. However I never felt the need , I now live on a barrier island on the East Coast of Florida , and my whole attitude alters as we cross the ICW and arrive “ on the island “ something off islanders will never understand ! St Kitts , no 50 percent US taxes, no US wars , the list goes on ... islanders around the world we are a special breed linked forever to the sea .
St Kitts and Nevis is extremely beautiful. The people are very warm and friendly. I lived there for eight years and will return soon. 💯❤️🇰🇳

This is a great valuable video. Very informative and uplifting. I dream to go/live there also ! However, rare are those who have $150k-$400k. So it is discouraging at the same time. Good for you to be able to do that with a fortune most do not have.

for Us citizen one has to pay tax regardless of where you live. But as Canadian citizen it depends on tax residency if you have moved abroad for a full tax year then you wont be liable to pay tax in Canada. Kindly see the tax residency requirements for canada.
would love to hear how the Internet service is there and exactly what types of laws exist? ie: Can you own a gun? Can you own an airplane? What are the taxes like for a business to operate there?

one of the elementary schools I attended [back in the 1970's, a very small private school, if that makes a difference? in the USA fewer than 50 children from kindergarten through the 4th grade]. it has been closed for decades. the property was eventually purchased and an entirely new private school exists there. I have NO idea if the records even exist anymore. would they automatically reject my application if there's no way tp find them? and I imagine there are applicants even older than I am. are they automatically rejected, if *their* school records are not existing anymore?
also: what's the story re: a military? do they have their own? and if so, which country/countries have an agreement to help defend St. Kitts & Nevis [since the population is relatively small], should any national security issues arise? or are they on their own?. every wo/man & family must be armed themselves?
There is the St. Kitts Nevis Defence Force (Army).
St. Kitts is also a member of the RSS which is comprised of the Defence Forces of majority of the English speaking Caribbean.

Need visa to visit US. No residency requirement for St Kitts and Nevis. Passport for adults expire in 10 years, children 5. $400 per adult passport, $350 per child passport.

Question: Can you maybe arrange for this lawyer to share a spreadsheet that lists out those visa-free countries for the St. Kitts' passport vs Canadian passport? Would be great to see how these compliment each other. I'm also a Canadian and I didn't realize that the St. Kitts passport allowed access to Russia (for example). This comparison would help to promote the business case for getting a St. Kitts' citizenship by investment. Thank you.

Anyway, I'll probably will just recreate it myself. The info is publicly available anyway. Visa-free travel to Russia spurred my interest coz my wife has visa-free access to that country, but I do not. And then she doesn't have visa-free access to a bunch of countries that I have access to.

You can consider it a loss, or you can consider it a worthwhile investment in your ability to live freely.
You're buying a citizenship so you can get another passport - for reasons. "Donation" is marketing speak.

You don't pay the donation unless you are approved. But the legal fees are paid up front after a consultation since they are doing a lot of the work.

Yes, I've heard about this recently as well. Definitely an interesting option.
You can get e-residency, which doesn't even allow you to live there... But Estonia does not have any citizenship by investment programs. Either you get it by birth or after an 8-yea naturalisation process. And no dual citizenship is technically not allowed, though there are exceptions.
How does an Indian citizen with Crypto currency get citizenship in Estonia, Latvia or the Caribbean without having to sell the Crypto currency in India? Is it possible to open a bank account as a tourist in a financially trustworthy jurisdiction that will allow you to trade Crypto currency with an online exchange in that country and transfer money to and from your Bank account with the exchange ?

Just wondering how Roger Ver was able to get the St. Kitts citizenship even though he had a criminal record, at least according to Wikipedia: “Ver bought 49 pounds of "Pest Control Report 2000" explosives, sold at least 14 pounds of them as large firecrackers on eBay, stored the explosives in a residential apartment building, and mailed them to customers via the U.S. Postal Service. He was sentenced to 10 months in federal prison.”

@@hman1509 income tax is applied to any income generated by an individual within a jurisdiction. Capital gains falls within that definition. St. kitts does not impose an income tax.

After 5 years you don't have to report taxes to the IRS as long as you spend less than 183 days a year in the US.

That is incorrect. There is no 17% on property tax. There is a 17% VAT.
There is 2% tax on market value with an exemption on the $80k of the value of the property.

How is the St. Kitts choice better than St. Lucia or others?
The cost of living in Saint Kitts is high for the locals now, some of the most beautiful areas cannot be accessed to those who were born and raised there.
There has been an increase of crime, and weapons smuggled.
If you have over $100k to invest, I suppose none of this matters. It is a beautiful island, but the locals are suffering.

St. Kitts didn't take long and offered a CBI program. I am in the process of being able to apply for citizenship in Portugal through residency.

You can buy the ST. Kitts passport in a relatively short period of time - for those in a hurry for whatever reason. The golden visa program in Portugal will take 5 years to qualify and approximately another to get it so figure ~6 years if all goes well, that's a long time to wait for those in a hurry to renounce.

If you haven't renounced your US citizenship then you'll be able to enter the US as a US citizen. If you have renounced then you'll have to apply for a visa just like everyone else.

St Kitts and $ Nevis have a triving farming community . Every Saturday the farm market is busy with farmers sell their product and Yes we import many product , but organic fruits and vegetables are grown locally in abundance . So Get your facts straight please ..
St. Kitts grows an abundance of fruit and vegetables that are sold at our public markets as well as in supermarkets along with imported produce. No, rice is not grown here. I don't know any Caribbean island that does.
