There is a “soft/hard” policy difference. I know because I felt it personally. For years I traveled with a Brazilian passport (great passport by the way, lots of visa free access) to Europe and Asia but constantly I was treated like a second class citizen at immigration and customs, being questioned constantly and some times taken to a special second round of questioning in a closed off room. This happened in China, Sweden, UAE and Thailand. Now that I became a US citizen I seethe difference is enormous. So yes, you can technically travel with a “b” class passport, I was never denied entry to schengen or other visa free countries I had access to with my Brazilian passport, But I was interrogated and given a hard time more often than not. I like having my Brazilian passport and I will keep it, but there is a difference to the treatment I get when presenting a US passport.

Same with albanian passport, you still get treated as a country with a poor passport ,eventhough i can travel freely in euorpe and have many visa free countries but still when they see the albanian passport they treat you more harshly with more questions ect.If u have a different passport (a more powerful one or a passport of a powerful country) you will be treated really differently.I think having a saint kitts passport would be great in these cases.

I'm west indian as well. Born in Brooklyn. As brown and black people, we need to think long and hard about giving up US citizenship. Sometimes because we're not white, that citizenship can be the thing that helps us out. Unless one of those multiple passports is a first world country, I wouldn't give up US citizenship. I'm going to be going for Portugal 🇵🇹 residency first and possibly a tax free Caribbean country close to simultaneously. We have some company stuff happening for us in the Bahamas 🇧🇸. Will need to look into them. For now I'm OK paying the US taxes for the US privilege when I travel. I've been stopped by local police in other countries because I look like I didn't belong. I just had to say I was American and show id, and they apologized for stopping me and kept it moving. I can't even imagine how bad those experiences could have been had I not been American.

And the process does indeed take 3-4 months unless there is an issue or request for additional documents. This then causes a pause to the processing while the client provides to the unit what is requested and the processing then resumes once the documents are received. Therefore the only way the process would take a year is if there was a delay on the applicant’s end. Citizens of St Kitts and Nevis are called Kittitians and Nevisians. 🙂
