That thing has balls. It sounds good no matter what you did with the knobs or switches. It just sounded really good. Man, I miss my Peavey EVH guitar. 😭😂 Sounds great man. ♥️🤘♥️ The clean sounds are killer too. Love that. ♥️🤘 Be safe and hope all is well down under sir. ♥️🤘♥️
Lupin loves this mojo type of wobble in the room cause it really stirs his milk up to the perfect temp in his bowl without spilling.. He is quite finicky so keep him happy Leon.. he's getting more and more spoiled !

Eventually determined I was after that hollow sound of two signals slightly out of phase, but with no motion -- the modulation equivalent of a cocked wah pedal. 😄 Bought a Boss digital delay, set it for a tiiiiiny offset with no repeats and there we were.
The blend on this takes it to the next level. Good one Verlie! PastFX are kicking out some great gear…looking forward to the Maxon style PH-350 and possibly the AD-900. Any word on those Leon?
@@JPMonstie the Rockman clean with chorus was used extensively on just about everything recorded in the 80's. The dirt sound gets you that singing Boston style lead sound. It's not for everyone but it's become a bit of a thing again th-cam.com/video/kxEsYGRt4gQ/w-d-xo.html
I'm a rock pig I guess. Loved those thick greasy swooshes. This pedal really appeals. Question: do you have it before the amp or in the effects loop? Whichever, it seems perfectly placed.
Usually an LFO is used to modulate the delay time in a basic chorus or flanger. With width on 0 the manual knob completely replaces the LFO, so you have "manual" flanging. With width above 0 the manual control will interact with the LFO to change the overall "sweep" of the flanger. With manual at 0 you have the entire LFO sweep.
If you had to choose, this or the Elastic Mattress as the better all rounder? I think I’m leaning towards the Elastic Mattress for the more subtle Andy Summers type of stuff, but this sounds awesome too.

It makes the pedal so versatile. I do intend buying it.. Sounds amazing. I'd like to know one thing that i find important... Does this pedal has a volume bump when turned on? Did you notice that? Many flanger pedals get a volume boost when turned on. Thanks so much in advance.🙏
It's got something in the upper mids I don't hear on my MXR EVH Flanger. BTW, I got the Fractal flanger on my FX8 dialed in to the EVH setting perfectly...
I've yet to test this at home but I believe part of the evh use was that the sweep would begin at the same starting point every time he engaged the pedal, whereas this and most flangers in general have the lfo continuously running in the background. I'll test this with the mxr m117 and check back
I had the Prototype for a while and can't wait to get the production version- hoping she does make that cycle of the lfo attention to detail something we can address later.
@@benjaminwoodrowmusic6070 I can confirm that on all of these models mentioned the sweep is constant unless in fixed filter mode of course, but the eddie thing of having more control of the sweep was apparently just a studio effort, personally I like the surprises when you don't know where it is in the sweep.
LEON TODD< the flanger WALDO switch would be used on which van halen songs? I'm not sure why dose the WALDO switch really do to the flanger, maybe its an EQ>?

I didn't think I'd watch all of a nearly 20 minute flanger pedal demo, but I did. That is a great sounding pedal.
I sat down to do this and thought "this will only take 8 or 10 minutes" and here we are. it's gorgeous!

Yeah the mattress will do really sweet chorus tones and the shimmery Summers thing. This one is much more in your face.
