Born February 26th 1916 in London. His father was a working Ventriloquist in the early part of the 20th Century, and Brough leant from him. All though He says he didn't start working professionally until 1939 there is a press cutting of Peter Brough entertaining patients in Acton Hospital on Christmas Day 1935.
