Let's see. As one of the conditions for allowing German reunification, post-USSR-Russia insisted that the US not expand NATO. The US agreed . . . and then expanded NATO anyway. To mitigate the possibility that NATO might, indeed, make Ukraine a member nation, it retook Crimea (which used to belong to Russia anyway before Khrushchev gifted it to Ukraine ) because there's a warm-water naval port at Sevastopol, which it didn't want falling into the hands of NATO. When a duly elected president of Ukraine decided that joining NATO was not in the best interests of his country, and instead, wanted to forge closer economic ties with Russia, the CIA orchestrated a coup against the Ukrainian government in order to help install a more US-friendly regime. When the ethnic Russians living in the southern part of Ukraine (the Donbas) objected, the Ukrainian military - which had integrated into its ranks a genuine Nazi unit known as the "Azov Battalion" - began shelling the civilian population of the Donbas. When the former US Undersecretary of State, Victoria Nuland, admitted to senator Marco Rubio in her senate testimony that there were, indeed, a number of US-financed bio-weapons-research facilities in Ukraine, rumors began to spread that those biolabs - which had been using gain-of-function technology to enhance the lethality of pathogens such as anthrax, smallpox, coronaviruses, etc. - were among the first things being targeted by the Russian military for decommissioning or outright demolition. I guess Putin just didn't like the idea of Ukraine in NATO, entailing American nukes being stationed right up against the border of Russia, not to mention continued research into bioweapons. He could have gone into Ukraine as far back as 2014 but waited 10 years probably because of the impending peace agreement known as the "Minsk Accord," which Ukraine decided not to sign at the last minute when the PM of the UK, Boris Johnson, met with the president of Ukraine, Zelensky, and convinced him not to make peace with Russia. And Yaron Brook claims Russia is the evil nation!
Another great show!
Brilliant discussion.
Did Tucker see the Russia numbers one - LOL
Let's see.
