When you are at the library look up "The Way of Herbs" by Jeannie Rose. Lots of great recipes for healing and for bath and beauty. I used it for many years ! She has many books about all things natural. You go girls❤😂🎉
Thank you! Will do for sure. I am obsessed with the healing power of nature. It's a powerful thing and they have been utilizing it for centuries... So neat to be surrounded by it and have time to harvest it 😊!!!
Tom from Quebec Canada Chip all that wood for your compost Compost will go up to 140f put some pipes together and a fan and you will have hot air put some pipes together and you will have hot water. Just think 🤔
The garden is looking good. Lily looks proud of her gardening as.she should be. 😊 I found out that using Epsom salt will kill the little bugs that come & eat lettuce & kale, plus it has the magnesium in it.
I did firewood for room and board for about 6 years I use a sharp 8 lb Mall learned a few things about wood, I just want to share that the Birch is considered a hardwood that's why it burns long, the spruce is considered a softwood and it also has a lot of tanning will keep it from growing mold. I really like your videos I learn a lot you guys are fun to watch.
Thank you so much for updating us. I love the way you explain everything you do. Love learning so many tips. We really appreciate it. Hi to everyone, great helpers. Dee & Ace
I cut the ripe banana skin in small pieces, add water to the container and let set for a couple days. Then i delute it and water my plants. Works every time.😊
Oh thank you, you are kind... Wish we could have a nicer, bigger greenhouse but this is all we can afford this year! I think it cost us $ 250.00 to build? Not too shabby! 😊🥕🥔🍅
Love all the information you give. In Alaska everyone on a homestead needs a wood splitter for sure. Lily you did a fantastic job with the tips. 👏👏👏. Hey lily I like that stir stick 😂😂comes in handy. I heard you could soak the banana peels in water and get nutrients like that. I’m praying for the produce ❤fantastic video 👏👏👏
Thank you Cathy. Lily is such a wonderful help because she truly cares! Lily and I have hopeful plans to get an Alaska bath & body product line with soaps, salves, bath bombs, etc..using more natural ingredients. This will be a great thing for her too as she learns about "business". She has the gardening and harvesting down pretty good for 12 yrs old. However I want to start to introduce her to income streams, making money, etc...plus we always have fun together 😊
@@Alaskan6pack that’s a great idea. If you ever sell any online I will definitely order. Some to support her❤️❤️. She is adorable such a beautiful young lady
Thank you so much. She really is. She is still nice even through all those hormones! Lol. I just want to teach her as much as I can in all areas of life
Potatoes doing good. Nothing popping up through dirt quite yet! It has been rainy and a bit cold most days too. ( this is why we love our greenhouse) Last time we checked the strawberry patch down below did not have any fruit on it yet...
Good video. Is this your first year of the smoothie? Your splitter is a powerhorse. Mine is a step down from yours but I only need about half of what you need.
Oh my. Just got done splitting for a couple hours. Smooth sailing! We have had that for a couple years. That thing has seen some very cold temps. I can't believe it still runs so well! My husband used to split many cords by hand when we were first married about 25 years ago. It tore up his elbows. So nice to have this splitter....saves the joints for sure!
That Champion has been amazing for a basic splitter. I would recommend it. I don't have a lot of experience with other brands with processing that much wood. We even cut with it at extreme temperatures in winter. We DID have to warm it up with propane and a tarp for hours first. But it split wood in negative temps after it was warm. We have used that thing I am sure to it's fullest potential! Can't believe it still runs pretty darn good! Hope that helps 😊

Oh so good to know about the salt! I will be watching the lettuce leaves! I know we share our space with critters but we need to eat too! Lol...😊

If I ever moved to Alaska I'd want Lilly to be my gardener.
Oh hey I agree! The plants love her!!
Great progress, garden is doing very nice. How is the potato area doing? Are you seeing strawberries on your plants.

Would you recommend the champion over another brand at the same price point.
