I'm an American, but by virtue of my military service, have lived 8 years of my life on German soil (2 years in the Nuremburg area (Herzogenaurach), 3 years in Stuttgart (Nellingen/Esslingen), and 3 years in Heidelberg). I loved every minute of my time in Germany and miss it tremendously (since our return to the States for good in 2004). This video brought back many memories for myself and my wife (who was with me on my military tours of Stuttgart and Heidelberg). Thank you for filming this. I see you have other videos that I also plan to View and enjoy. Zane Del Chambers

I want to learn Dutch and visit Germany 🇩🇪 maybe when I’m around mid or late 20s as a 14 year old American. I have a list of countries I want to go to I’ll list the main ones I wrote down: Germany,Denmark,Bosnia,Mexico,United Kingdom,Japan,Sweden,France, my parents country: Haiti 🇭🇹, India,Pakistan,Saudi arabia,Greece, Croatia, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Portugal,Netherlands,Hungary,Italy,Estonia,Belgium,Romania,Poland,Turkey, and Czech Republic. There is more left but I’ll keep the list like this for now.

I used to live in Pattonville near Kornwestheim and then Robinson Barracks in Stuttgart way back in the late 70s. I travelled this road daily and many great memories of living there are coming back. The worst thing I see in this video is the McDonald's at the Kornwestheim exit. To this day, living in Stuttgart were the best years of my life.

I've visited Germany several times. Beautiful county and great people. But I could never live there. It's just too cloudy all the time. SMHO.

Very nice drive, enjoyed every km of it. Drove also on a small part of it, between Mosbach and Heilbronn. Visited Heilbronn and Stuttgart some years ago, but took the A81 instead, next time I will drive on B27, as it is quite scenic in the Neckar river valley.

Some additional information: That B27 has four lanes in some stretches and looks like an Autobahn: but it isn't. It's called "autobahnähnlich ausgebaut" - with the hard barrier separating the two directions - but which allows for inferior design - like here: no right shoulder. The missing shoulder does limit the speed to 100 or 120 km/h. But the rules are the same as on an Autobahn.
There are also "autobahnähnlich" roads with shoulders - allowing full speed in many places. The signage remains yellow though and the driver needs to be aware that this road can convert at any moment into a normal 2 lane road again.
Sometimes the extension to four lanes, barriers, guide rails and shoulders of such roads is part of the conversion of a lower road into an Autobahn. As soon all is done it gets blue signage. But that's not planned for the B27.
