When I was homeless I lived in my car. On cold nights, the rain was comforting. Didn't know how many times I'd hear the comforting sound of the rain on the car. Didn't realize I would miss it. Now I listen in my bed, with my wife. Helps sleep, reminds me of the hard times, makes you value the good times. Much love to anybody who has had to listen to this noise.

I closed the window, pulled the curtain down, turned on the cold air conditioner, and opened this video. The rain made me remember my childhood days, when it rained all day, my sister and I were in our old house, studying or playing, waiting for my parents to return after a day of work; then we had dinner together, watched TV, and then went to sleep. There was no internet, no facebook, no smartphone ... just the sound of rain like that, with trees, with insects, slightly chilly weather and feeling of peace.

I am 60, was raised in a 4 room house in the Deep South with a real tin roof. I have sat in the jungles in shelter halves during monsoon season, deserts, mountains. One thing listening to rain always does for me is stop the 25 voices telling me about every bad or stressful situation in life on repeat.

I love these rain channels...I really do... but I noticed these channels all have the same comments from all the other rain channels. It does help me find neat foreign channels with rain noises. But it would be less wierd if you all just shared the links to your pages instead of the odd stories. You should just say "Check us out too if you get the chance." Just some advice to get Americans. We're not all gullible I swear lol. In fact most of us Americans are fairly dead inside and trust no one just like the rest of the world which is why we need these rain noises to relax.
