    Great videos, keep em coming!, the clamp idea was new to me as well. The cost project would also be great.

    Dude everything I have seen u do keeps inspiring me to do more and be better. what your building right now would be my dream project. I love diy stuff and I have a certificate in plumbing and hated the job but the info I learned from has helped me in my hobby that I would love to now make it a career in the next 5 years

    It was very surprising for me when I found out electric companies are non-profit organizations in America... I'm not sure if that's common knowledge or not... I just found that out a few years ago, and it was a surprise to me...! Anyway, go enjoy some nature today and keep the informative content coming...!

    right on hat hiding spot you made out of the clay pot looks great in the tank. Fish room looks great. I am a little curious how much it costs you to run that room. My 7 tanks cost me about $75 extra a month. I have to have 250 watt heaters in our tanks all year long. Life of a Canadian fish keeper. great video thumbs up

      +AQUA NUT Thanks for the shutout as well bud greatly appreciated. It worked great on our rain barrel.

    • @AquariumCoop
      @AquariumCoop  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +AQUA NUT I'm not sure on how much it is is going to cost to run quite yet. But the dehumidifier costs roughly $50 a month. Plus I'm heating it at the moment. But in the fish room today I'll be working on insulating some more as in theory I want a dehumidifier and lighting to be the only heat sources really.

      @AQUANUT 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Aquarium Co-Op Oh really eh. That's a pretty neat setup. I'm sure it would cost a lot more if you had heaters in all of them tanks.

    geeze I thought i was busy in my fishroom! I'd be curious to know why you're choosing to heat the room with that electric heater instead of (a) using heaters in each tank; or (b) using that wood burning stove? Good job with those clamps....now go enjoy taco tuesday!

    • @AquariumCoop
      @AquariumCoop  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      well mostly it comes down to power. lets say each 20 gallon tank needs a 100 watt heater. that would be 2400 watts just for those which would require a dedicated 20 amp circuit. then im installing 14 40 breeders which will take lets say another 150 watt heaters. theres 3000 more wats and teo more circuits. with more tanks to go in after that. Conversely I have my entire room at 78 degrees currently from the space heater at 1500 watts. the more tanks you run the better the return on heating the room. plus you dont have to buy 100 heaters and nome of those heaters can fail.

    • @AquariumCoop
      @AquariumCoop  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      also the wood stove isnt automated. so if i ever go on vacation or get sick etc. its not a reliable source of heat. a great back up source though.

    • @RichsFishes
      @RichsFishes 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Aquarium Co-Op well that part i can understand. but I have to wonder if you're correct when comparing the total wattage of in tank heaters vs that electric space heater. true individual heaters are a higher total wattage, but you're not "wasting" energy by heating the much larger space of the room vs the space of each tank. I've been going back and forth in my head as to whether or not I should try to heat my fishroom as a whole instead of each tank independently.

    • @AquariumCoop
      @AquariumCoop  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Rich's Fishes all i can say is Ive run someone elses fish store before. i now own my own and have built several fish rooms. ive found it to be much cheaper to heat the entire space as opposed to tanks. If you are heating the tanks you are heating the entire space anyway. heat is going to radiate from the tanks and heat the air in the room. So when you are filling an entire room with fish tanks you can essentially choose 1 heater to heat the room or 100 heaters to heat the room. either way the entire room is going to be hot. If you can get your insulation of the room up enough and seal all air gaps you shouldnt even beed a heater. The lights will produce enough head to keep the room at 80.

      +Aquarium Co-Op interesting and I see what you're saying. appreciate the insight. I might have to give it a try!

    serious question my man. on old videos like this, does it help you in some way from youtube if when watching through a guy throws in an extra comment saying good stuff? or is that just extra irrelevant notifications for you that youtube doesn't reward you for? cus i can start doing that if it's a gain for you, but if not then i can save you the unneeded notifications

    • @AquariumCoop
      @AquariumCoop  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It totally helps, as well as watching the entire video and then watching another aquarium co-op video afterwards. I appreciate you asking ;)
