Holy moly you hit the jackpot this week! Well done! I can't wait to see some progress as they grow. It looks like you're going to have even more spawns going too.
Thanks, Nick. If you're ever looking for a bit of content, I'd love to see just how you make the water uplift system into those breeder boxes. Thanks. ~Ron
Watching this years later and getting lots of great info on breeding L numbers, have been trying with L333, L015 and L397 but no success yet. Thank you for the helpful video
Fantastic, Nick! Great success with them at last! Yeah, about the Peppermint Plecos. I find them a very attractive fish and I've kept my eyes open for them. I'm Canadian and I can't find them for love nor money... Lol...
L183, L333, L201 are my trio. However i spawn them at about ,28'c Ive noticed that the fry start eating the slime on woodpieces even when they hsve their yellowsack left. So i also add an older piece of wood in all my boxes
Back for a second viewing. I just wanted to share I just got group of 5 1.5 inch L183 from my local fish store. I took a big risk as they are super skinny. But I’m hopping get them to bounce back to good health.
Hey Nick, Awesome video! It just came to my attention that you mentioned L183's in the title. We don't have L183's in Australia that i'm aware of. We have the L181 Peppermint Bristlenose. Keep up the great work!
Great video Nick! I love plecos/catfish/angelfish lol! Just a question I have my pleco cave in my tank and I have heaps of hiding spots but my clown loaches suddenly decided to stay in there for days they can get out and they are definitely not stuck!
amazing action in this video! I loved it! minor thing and i am guessing you were probably just tryin to keep it simple, but almond leaves leech acid into the water and that acid destroys the KH, it doesn't actually absorb anything.
Hey I know I’m a little late. But if you need to pull eggs I might have an idea. I’ve had the same fungus problems with trying to tumble Mbuna eggs. Lost 3 clutches. This time I set up a little tank with tank water and methylene blue and I had no fungus problems.
i have a question, i can get the bristles to breed fine and wrigglers raised by the parents and then free swimming, but after a few days in the same tank (4x2x2) they disappear, til theres none left. only inhabitants are the bristles and guppies. lots of wood and plants lots of hiding places. cheers for any help
Sometimes I wish it was easier to ship fish Ugh I'd love to buy some fish bread by you such a good health batch. Plus you're just great brother love the content thanks for being you
Have a question I’m breeding brisle nose plecos i have a male and a few females. What’s the best way to make them breed like crazy the first lot have just hatched and are swimming around the same aquarium is it best for me to take the fry out and put in another aquarium so that way the male will continue to breed? Will that help them breed faster?
Hey man those peppermint bristlenose you spike about I'm so curious about them I don't see them around here in canada much is there any way for you to ship some my way lol
Hey nick! I’ve noticed u have a kind of mesh on the overflow of the breeding box… what is it? Has it came with the breeding box or did you make it?? Ps: loved the sandals with the white socks
BABY PLECOS! I only have one pleco (an albino bristlenose longfin) named Majima but once I own my own house (instead of renting) I want get more tanks with more plecos (I doubt Majima would be happy to have another pleco in HIS tank. He has to deal with a betta and some neon tetras as it is!).
Hi Man, I have a serious problem. I had a power cut for 8 hours in my other parents house and the filter hasn’t turned back on, its an aqua clear hob filter in a 90 litre aquarium. It has been off for about a week and a half, there are no livestock or plants in the aquarium. Only hard scape and substrate currently. How would you go about fixing this if anything is wrong? Thanks.
Gotta give those plecos time to learn to be parents as well! Just like every animal, they need time to learn how to be parents! Leave the eggs in! Also, give those babies places to hide in some driftwood! Lastly, congratulations :)
Hi Nick Really like your videos. Great information for this hobby! I noticed in your Pleco Tanks you had Duck Weed. What are your thoughts on this. I put a little in 1 tank in my fish room about 2 years ago. And now it is throughout all my tanks. I was thinking of removing it (no small feat Haha!). You seem to be doing extremely well with your tanks. Duck Weed for Plecos, Good or Bad!?
Hey mate! I just realized that you are in Australia. Would you happen to breed L471, L046 and L134's? Been wanting to try breeding as I became inspired by your videos. Been watching you for some time and I'm amazed by how hardworking you are and very passionate with your hobby.
Why do you put shrimp with the egggs can I do this with rice fish eggs or other eggs in general because it will be a game changer if I can put shrimp to eat fungused eggs only
So if I can ask a question. Why are these bristlenose all called L333 and L this number, L that number? Why do they not have actual names? Just curious, love your video's
Holy moly you hit the jackpot this week! Well done! I can't wait to see some progress as they grow. It looks like you're going to have even more spawns going too.
Really awesome to see given some of the challenges you've faced with some of the other spawns. Wishing you continued and amazing success!
Thanks, Nick. If you're ever looking for a bit of content, I'd love to see just how you make the water uplift system into those breeder boxes. Thanks. ~Ron
I would've never known that kh can effect eggs like that. That's crazy!! Thanks for the tips! A big WHATS UP FROM COLORADO!!

My bristle nose had 122 in one spawn. Woke up and looked at tank and the front was covered in babies. My boy is now 14.
Awesome video Nick! Congrats on all the breeding man! 👌
Nice! I usually add an extra airstone in those HOB fryholders when spawns are that big.
I love ur pleco breeding videos. They are SO CUTE! 😁🤩
You are a hard worker #KeepUpTheGrind
Enjoy the heat ! It was -22 F here in upstate New York last night. Thanks for all your tips ! You have a bright lucrative future ! 😃

If using the almond leaves to reduce KH how do look after the pH levels

Hey Nick! Could you do some hownto videos like how to breed corys/ peppermints etc? That would be really cool!
How do you keep the babies from going out of the breeder box? I have the same one and the babies always seem to get out of the breeder box
Are there any details on the breeding boxes?
Sometimes I wish it was easier to ship fish Ugh I'd love to buy some fish bread by you such a good health batch. Plus you're just great brother love the content thanks for being you

how do you clean all your tanks? how to maintain it clean?
Awesome vid! May I ask what type of breeder box do you use?
Hey nick! I’ve noticed u have a kind of mesh on the overflow of the breeding box… what is it? Has it came with the breeding box or did you make it??
Ps: loved the sandals with the white socks
I’m pretty sure it’s just a plastic mesh, I bought some on Amazon but you can probably find it in the craft section of any store

I’m about to move to Australia just to get some of your fish fr keep up the videos and live streams
Can I please ask where U got those breeder boxes from
That is a lot better of peppermints!
Hi mate, what do you find is the most ideal parameters for breeding hypans and other small plecos?
How often to change the water in the fish tank
I’m pretty sure those are l181 not l183. Count the dorsal rays.. l
L183 does not lose the white seam on the tail and dorsal. 181 does
Must be to busy to reply..
@@serval_fpv I just want people to understand the difference in these fish so they are not cross bred
What do you feed those little guys??
May I ask what breeder box is that?
Where do you get those breeder boxes? Thanks
Do u take them out as soon as they lay the eggs?
What's going on in hillstream tank ??

I just pulled 51 super reds last night! I’m one of those ppl looking for peppermints!
Do you ever export to the USA?
Im trying to star up a bussiness like u could u tell me how shipping works since the cost is different for different places.
Do u deliver to Singapore? I would like to have some
How do you power all of your fish tanks
How do u raise the babies
Yay! Peppermint babies!!!! Wipe that 'brow and keep on fish keeping. (◠‿◕)
Just to be sure the peppermint bristolenose and L183 are the same right?
Peppermint bristlenose are l181 starlight bristlenose are l183. I was thinking the same are they l183 or l181 🧐

Just about to get some l183 plecos. What are your water parameters?
Are you from Australia? If so where are you getting those external fry savers from?

wait how do you know when the eggs have hatched?
I did some research and found that not all Plecos eat algae. How and what do you feed all your various Pleco fry?
Could you please share some of that advice with me that your fellow keepers shared?
Breeding temperature plz
What was the advice you got on your pleco’s that helped you better succeed
Thanks for the really cool video. I was wondering if I could ask how big the tanks are, that you breed your pleco's in.
K haole it’s bigger than one 10 gallon that’s fo sure
Why do you put shrimp with the egggs can I do this with rice fish eggs or other eggs in general because it will be a game changer if I can put shrimp to eat fungused eggs only
Can you make more videos about betta breeding ?
So if I can ask a question. Why are these bristlenose all called L333 and L this number, L that number? Why do they not have actual names? Just curious, love your video's
hate to disagree with you mate but i have gh/kh off of the charts and regularly spawn BN, without disturbing egg clutches!
its so hot and humid in your fish room , you should raise flying fish.........
Jeez bro
Buddy! How do you do it?!? Love your channel bro
The peppermint bristlenose are L183 starlight pleco. Those having trouble finding them might find them under the other name or L183.
Not necessarily. L071/L181 more likely.
@@boddiesbuddy1380 yeah, could be one of those too. Not much difference between them and I’ve seen l181 plecos called starlight plecos.
Peppermint plecos are l181 I was lead to believe and l183 are starlight
did he not sea the two littel babys
What do you feed your L333's?
👍🏻👍🏻
Why it's call L183 and what are those numbers?
💙💙
