I just came back from the Netherlands a couple days ago and used my free travel pass days. You only get .5 GB high speed data a day before they drastically slow you down. Edit: I have Verizon’s top plan for anyone wondering
I just logged in to my bill and noticed something. AT&T apparently will throttle you even if your own the top plan. I have an unlimited premium line and some unlimited elite lines. If I click on the lines, under data usage, all of them say “After 100GB, we may slow data speeds if the network is busy.”
I have a grandfathered unlimited plan from Verizon. I have unlimited, unthrottled data and hotspot. I usually use about 150 gb a month and my bill is only $63 a month.
Dont you have to keep the same phone for that? I remember in like 2014 my friends brother had a similar grandfathered plan but he couldnt upgrade his phone or else he'd have to change his plan
@@The92Waffles As a Verizon sales rep, no. You can certainly upgrade to any Verizon phone or unlocked phone; however, your trade-in promotional deals will not be as good on those older plans
I had Verizon and switched to t mobile because of the free international roaming. That part was great. Unfortunately the phone service itself did not compare Verizon. Had to switch back.
I'm glad you spotlighted T-Mobile's 24mo financing at multiple stages because it really makes a difference if you want to upgrade to a new phone or add new lines for promotions frequently. Also the difference between Magenta Max and Magenta and in fact all the carrier's mid level plans is an eye opener. I was fortunate enough to get a Insider code for Magenta Max and the savings over Verizon's entry level plan that my sister was paying is significant...we pay less for 3 lines on T-Mobile than 2 basic lines at Verizon. Also we pay about the same amount for 3 voice and 2 connected device lines with promotions for free or heavily discounted devices attached to those lines that are on 24mo promotions. T-Mobile also paid $800 towards my sisters ZFold3 for switching.
@Mario Medrano Sorry. I've been waiting to see if they would send me another but no dice. Store reps asked me how I got mine though, and at the time ~3-4mos ago, they said they also had insider codes, so you might ask a store rep and see if they have any they can use for you...I think they use it as a deal closer so if you make your new account look attractive then pull back at the last moment and ask about the insider code I think they'd be likely to give you one if they have one available. I think they look for 4+ line accounts.
I’ve been with AT&T for years, used to travel alot in the US and the only state I had issues was Indiana, but I was the only guy from my traveling group that had connection in small towns meaning my phone was the navigation phone. Same thing in Mexico, I had service in areas of Cozumel where others in my group didn’t with Verizon roaming
As someone that tried at least 6 different providers in the last year or so, I found that the biggest reason to change or stay with a single company was how well they covered your area. I tried all 3 of them but only ATT had reasonable coverage in my city so that's the one I went with and I regret nothing. the $300/yearly plan with 16GB is great aside from technical issues requiring corp support, the plan works really well
@Zigest Are you forgetting MVNO's? Mobile Virtual Network Operators that piggyback on the major carriers. They may not have their own towers, but they're still providers. Thru work, and personal use I have used Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile. That's 5 right there, and there are many more carriers.
@@aarondaoust2314 did the original comment mention towers? No, it said providers, and there are many providers, or carriers, as they don't have to own their own towers, just as I explained in my reply.
Facts. My area Verizon simply works the best so that's what I use. When I go on trips sometimes the gsm aka T-mobile towers are much better than the cdma towers are spotty which sucks, but Id rather trips be spotty than at home being spotty!
@@rileyesmay 4G and 5G has rendered CDMA/GSM all but obsolete. In fact, CDMA and GSM towers are being shut down as cell providers have moved to this single technology. And as Verizon is the largest carrier in the United States, and has the most towers, they are therefore your safest bet for having coverage when traveling in the US.
So I actually work as a retail sales consultant for AT&T. There are a couple of things not taken into consideration. One if you work for any major company you will get the premium plan for the mid-tier price. Which we try to find that discount for customers with that taken into consideration makes AT&T premium plan the least expensive. Additionally AT&T offers huge discounts to people who serve in the military, police, fire, or have our fiber internet. AT&T also offers First net which is for first responders and offers a lot of discounts and different benefits then what T-mobile or Verizon offers.
AT&T employee here- you can actually get the premium plan for the same price as the extra plan. ANYONE can get this discount either through their workplace, or by signing up for AARP(Which also waives activation fees AND gives you 25% off all accessories in store and also stacks with our buy 2 get 1 free deal). As long as it's not a small mom & pops type business, there's most likely a discount available.
I think real nationwide coverage should be figured into this evaluation. I was forced to switch from Tmobile to Verizon after Tmobile started shutting old Sprint towers. As an over the road truck driver I had to many service dead spots with Tmobile especially west of the Mississippi River.
I've had T-Mobile Magenta Max for a while now, my girlfriend and I have been really happy with the plan. Even taking trips to Mexico having zero issues when I imagine it would be a nightmare on any other carrier. Will be with T mobile for the foreseeable future for sure.
hope you get all the free lines offered by T-Mobile as well. I have a college friend with 8+ lines as well as a fa!ily member. That is less than $20 a line with almost unlimited data usage.
I had Verizon and I had not extremely weak service in lots of places and I switched to T-mobiles Go5g plus plan and have had 5G ultra capacity basically everywhere and call quality has been perfect, I also love the 5Gb of free data in tons of international countries because Verizon is so expensive for international data and the only way to get free data is with a travel pass which not all international countries have, I also am at a boarding school and when I was on Verizon, calls dropped 10 times a day and I had 2 bars of lte if I was lucky and now on T mobile I get 4 bars of 5G ultra capacity for calls and have had zero calls dropping,
It gets even better. Recently my wife and I switched from an MVNO to Magenta Max 55+, since I recently hit that fossilized milestone. It's $90 for two lines, and we no longer pay $15 per month for Netflix. Everything is pretty much realistically unlimited for our use (we won't use 50 GB hotspot data, pretty much ever, though we tend to use it in coffee shops and hotels instead of the less secure and often slower wifi they have). Heck of a deal if T-Mo signals are good where you live, work and play.
That's what I was look at the 55+ plan also! They have lots of perks & I just renewed my AAA Premium package & it ain't cheap! But I could use what help T-Moble is willing to knock off my renewal for next year. I heard the Netflix is the basic subscription but the premium Netflix will only be like $4.00 with the T-Mobile discount & that's pretty good 👍 Thank God my cell & tablet are paid off! I think that Magenta Max 55+ plan should do pretty good here in Atlanta 🤗
If you're a Xfinity customer, you can get 2 lines unlimited for $30 each on Xfinity Mobile, which piggybacks on Verizon. And there's also the Xfinity hotspots you can connect to that are seemingly everywhere, at least where I live.
For me, at&t's unlimited premium plan is cheaper because of the $10 a month discount they give you if you work for an eligible company. In addition, you can negotiate with at&t after a year or so to lower your bill. They're desperate to keep people on their plans lol.
Verizon gives you 10% off with eligible company. And interesting, with I tried negotiating with them, there were extremely rude, and hung up on. That is one company that can go bankrupt, and I’ll through a party
I get the same discount for AT&T. And because I have 5 lines, that’s $10 off each line, so I save $100. Plus they give you 20% off accessories, but i don’t buy their accessories anyway, too expensive. And 25% off monthly service charge of qualified wireless plans. Plus I get HBO max for free.
I have been using Mint for 2 years, I pay 400 (including taxes) for a year of unlimited, and there are cheaper plans, and I have not experienced any problems. Not everybody needs international calling, and as long as you have a data plan, you can use WhatsApp, or Signal.
I have to say I'm pretty happy with mint Mobile I live in a ultra capacity area with T-Mobile service and my speeds are outstanding! And I like the idea of paying a year of service up front for only $360 I can't complain! I definitely think T-Mobile has come a long way with service I'm in more of a rural area and they definitely tweaked some of their coverage
Not sure if it has been mentioned, but in the graphic for entry level plans, the T-Mobile essentials plan has 50GB of Premium data. When you went down each category, you mistakenly said that the essentials plan was deprioritized like the other 2 plans. T-Mobile has the superior entry level plan as far as unlimited data speed.
There’s also small things like call waiting, surfing the net while on a call etc. but it really come down to the network for me and I’ve been with ATT for 15 yrs and currently have the unlimited premium with HBO max included which wasn’t mentioned as a perk. I’ll stick with ATT more reliable in my case
I know this only applies to those 55 and over but T Mobile offers the Magenta Max 55+. While there are a couple of features a bit reduced versus the regular Magenta Max, imho the 55+ is the hands down best premium plan there is. 65$ including tax. And you get the perks. I got a 14 pro max 256 by trading in a stock 11. It is 20$ per month finance charge x 24 for a phone that cost about $1300.
Also very interesting right now is that if you need 3 or 4 lines, then the Max is better priced than the Max 55+ because the Max gives you the 3rd line for free.
What perks do you feel like you're missing from the normal MAX plan? The only difference is 55+ MAX can only have 4 lines where as the normal MAX can have 12. Other than that they should be 100% identical.
Another plus for T-Mobile is the Insider Discount you can usually get if you're porting from ATT, VZW. or a cable company. That's 20% off the Magenta Max plan for life. It also stacks with the free 3rd line too.
@@Godzilladad Most store reps will have left over insider codes that we get like every 3-6 months, just ask them about it when you're setting up the plan. The insider code also only works on Max as well, it brings the price from 85 to 68 for the first line to give you an idea of how much you'll save with it
I actually really liked your comparison. I have Magenta Max and I absolutely love it. And my work has an Amplified partnership so I get service for $70 a month which is fantastic.
I believe T-Mobile Essentials has prioritized data for 50GB unlike what you've stated. It also may be helpful to include what kind of 5G you get from different plans. For example, Essentials on T-Mobile gives customers access to all 5G towers whereas Verizon's equivalent (5G Start) only allows access to 5G Nationwide (not mmWave or C-band 5G). Otherwise, great video!
No, Essentials are deprioritized by default, it's on QCI 7 (vs QCI 6 like Magenta/Magenta MAX), then after 50GB it's further deprioritized to QCI 9 (which is what all plans beside MAX get deprioritized to).
I had ATT forever and I switched to Visible over a year ago. I still pay 25/mo when they used to do a party pay discount. I drop less calls than I did with ATT here in SC. I love how streamline their app is and the overall simple experience.
Also important to remember, T-Mobile has a price lock on its plans, and also the magenta and go 5g plans include taxes and fees so are a flat rate. These are key reasons I stayed with T-Mobile instead of switching.
I've experienced all three companies, and from my experience, T-Mobile has been the best; especially their military/veteran plans. They have great coverage, great financing plans, and more products.
It's all area dependent. In WV, AT&T had the best 2/3G GSM network but in the cities Verizon's LTE network was excellent and fast. In MI where I live, everyone is good in the cities but TMO is brutal anywhere else.
AT&T is getting very horrible in Dallas suburbs, very pricey , no value for money. Hence , switching to T Mobile. If T not good, will switch to Verizon until Att improves😊
@@mlhighlightsyt #1 problem with T-Mobile is signal indoors , where as AT&T and Verizon can even work in elevators. T-Mobile is good and bad, no in between
I have T-Mobile magenta max and I like it. As someone who travels a lot to Mexico and has had experience with all 3 carriers I cannot recommend T-Mobile enough. Verizon is supposed to work in Mexico, we had to call their customer service line 4-5 times before we could actually use our phones in Mexico and when they did service was super slow. AT&T worked fine but the crazy hidden fees without warning almost doubled my bill after my trip to Mexico. With T-mobile I don’t have to do anything and I can use my phone as if I was in the US no extra fee, data slows down after a while but when you are on vacation you really don’t use your phone that much. I do have to say there is a small area where I live that it’s like a black hole for coverage but it’s really small and I’m rarely there so I don’t mind it. I’m happy with T-mobile and since I have the plan with friends I only pay 50 a month with a brand new iPhone 14pro.
T-Mobile is the only one that offers in all 50 states discounts to seniors 55+. It drops Magenta MAX to $65 for a single line, and to $45 per line for two lines.
@@richardtsang3173 I used to have that with T-Mobile and I actually like the service in the states better than what Google fi offers. The problem is, the international does not work. It used to work but then it stopped. Eventually I had to move on to something else
The T-Mobile $90 on two lines deal cannot be beaten by anyone else on the list of carriers. Prioritized data is the only data worth having with throttled network connections.
Also very interesting right now is that if you need 3 or 4 lines, then the Max is better priced than the Max 55+ because the Max gives you the 3rd line for free.
it does not have service in alaska actually. they partner with a local network called GCI so essentially you are roaming on GCI network if you're with t mobile and in alaska. it severely reduces speeds to a point where you can't even load twitter (I was in alaska for 3 months over summer 2022 that's how I figured it out). so really it is only 49 states as far as I know. tbh I don't know if they do this for any other state or territory in the country
That's a nice comparison; I like Verizon since I have most of these perks I already subscribed to. Just save a lot of money. And the T-Mobile signal is horrible at my place, while Verizon mmWave is accessible almost everywhere. I might swap to T-Mobile if I move to another city. Those perks can be registered in another country through a VPN. Getting Netflix UHD for 5-10dollar/month depends on the region. HBO Max is around $25/year. etc
I started off with AT&T, then T-Mobile and now have Verizon. Out of all 3 I have to say Verizon has been my favorite. Most reliable and best customer service I have experienced
Hey guys, I work at T-Mobile, little insider…. If you switch carriers, ask the store rep if they have insider codes available (3 per rep). It will get you 20% off magenta max for life and is stackable with other promos.
This was a super cool comparison to see - mainly watched it because while I work at AT&T, when I'm off the clock I'm not going to pretend it's the by default best option. Luckily where I live, it gets me the most reliable service, and the 50% discount on service makes it no contest.
Same. I have a Verizon business plan, and it would be too big of a pain to switch, but this video is cool to see the other perks these plans have (my plan is basically the Verizon Play More but $5 a month cheaper, double the hotspot and premium data, but not of the Play More perks if anyone is wondering.)
I have T-Mobile Magenta but live in Nebraska💀💀💀 Coverage is great in Lincoln & Omaha but everywhere else is bad. They put me on Data Roaming from Viaero or US Cellular whenever I leave city limits. Other then that, great service!
Very Informative! The only problem i have with this video is that it doesn’t include automatic payment discounts from any of the providers. They are a lot more competitive than you would think!
Thanks,Stetson for your honesty. T-Mobile had its ups and downs, but for the price and service they offer and the signal in my area,I wouldn’t switch for any other carriers, even if they offer $3.000,00 because I know they would get their money back by jacking up the price… I was a customer from all the other carriers,it was really annoying to get the bill every month showing different charges and I had to call customer service the reason why… With T-Mobile I don’t have that problem,if I see a different charge on my bill and I didn’t like,T-Mobile would explain the charges accurately,so… so far so good… Thanks for the video.
Been a T-Mobile customer for over 17 years, upgraded to the Magenta Max plan during the pandemic in 2020. If there home internet gets much better and much faster I may switch from Verizon. Not knocking Verizon because I’m very happy with there super fast Fios Home Internet that I switched to from the horrible Comcast/Xfinity 4 years ago.
You cannot tell me that plans are super expensive in the US, in fact, EE, one of our providers in the UK, offers unlimited with no speed caps at £31/month on a 24 month contract. Prices can rise mid contract but it doesn't go anywhere near US prices
As a Verizon employee, and somebody who sees how other carriers work, its important to note that some services might work better in your area vs the others. It’s all just dependent on what you prefer and what you’re looking for in a plan. For instance where I live, Verizon and ATT are the ones that work best here. If ATT doesn’t work, you can bet Verizon does. And same deal the other way around. Just do research in your area to find out which ACTUALLY is the best for you and what you use your plan for
For sure. In Washington T-Mobile is generally better, but in Oregon Verizon/ATT is better. Just how it is, even if its a $10 a month plan, it isn't really worth the hassle of not being able to send messages at home or in your local area
I was with T-Mobile but switched to AT&T a month ago and I have no regrets. I live on the reservation near Phoenix, AZ and T-Mobile’s service has declined greatly in the past year or so. Even in the city with full bars the data connection is horrible. AT&T has been a lifesaver in this area plus they gave me $1000 for my trade in and not $800 😃
As a magenta Max customer, I don't think it's fair that I sometimes have to use Wi-Fi for basic web browsing because coverage doesn't seem to be reliable between NYC and NJ. I'll be having 1 bar while my gf who is on Cricket will have 2 or more bars. I'm thinking about switching to Verizon; I need to have reliable coverage.
This was a great video. I really appreciate you taking the time to post a detailed exhaustive comparison of Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile of all their plans. I have been an ATT wireless customer since 2005 when they were Cingular. I have changed their plans but stayed on their service. It ultimately comes down to coverage where you live. It's been great for us at home and when we have traveled across the US and International. I know there are dead spots/areas for every carrier but it comes down to the individual where they are located. I have been considering jumping to T-mobile magenta max for the cheaper deal and all the other free stuff (streaming services) and I am actually test driving it right now with network pass.
I have Verizon's unlimited plan plus and I have HBO max aka max, Netflix Xbox game pass paramount+ google play pass in just one perk I believe Verizon $100 perk is very well worth the price plan for unlimited plus also the 5Guwb is no joke super crazy fast speeds.
I'm in the Seattle area, so not some small rural area, and T-Mobile coverage sucks here. On my personal phone, I have Xfinity Mobile, so basically Verizon. On my work phone, I have T-Mobile. I can hold the phones right next to each other at work, and my T-Mobile phone will have 1 or 2 bars, in contrast my Xfinity Mobile phone will show full bars, and 5G. Having no landline for years, I've always found Verizon to be very dependable here, and when traveling. For me personally, bottom line, when I need my phone to work such as for roadside assistance, etc. I want the best chance of being able to make those calls.
You need a breakdown of plans for Seniors. As example, wifey and me have T Mobile Magenta Max 55 and only pay $97 FOR TWO LINES FOR PREMIUM UNLIMITED DATA (all in, including taxes and fees).
I used Navi and I may switch to T Mobile once they're done building the store in a nearby town. I noticed they actually have a 5G tower nearby and my current carrier, Verizon, does not, hell I barely get any service around where I live as is, so an upgrade is needed.
I am on the AT&T Unlimited Elite (not offered anymore) with a 25% teacher discount which makes it about same price as T-Mobile Magneta Max when you includes taxes and fees I also get HBO Max
T-Mobile with the best plan interms of price...But I noticed since they took on the Metro Pcs & Sprint accounts the service is bad now, Verizon has better coverage
I don’t think it was mentioned but With Verizon all plans are mix and match except for welcome and one for iPhone , so if you have 4 lines for example in my case , my line is on the get more have another on the do more and two on the start . I’m pretty sure with other carriers they all have to be on the same plan . And the point of the 36 month period is to keep your phone payment lower . An iPhone 14 Pro max without a trade is almost $50 p/mth with T-Mobile financing , and with Verizon it’s $30 cause of that 36 . And Verizon let’s you early upgrade iPhones whenever you get to the halfway point of balance paid on your current phone anyways .
Not to mention that as for T-Mobiles roaming benefits. For calling on Magenta Max you don’t actually need the $15 per month plan. If you are only going away for a week or so and don’t plan on spending tons of time on the phone you can call while traveling internationally at the very low rate of $0.25 a minute with NO EXTRA MONTHLY FEE!🎉
I have the phased out Unlimited Elite plan, which is the Unlimited Premium now minus 10 GB of Hotspot data (40 GB) and was given HBO Max (no free trial). With auto payments and my work place linked to my account in a family plan, I only $40 plus taxes every month. It’s a plan that I probably will never let go and AT&T in my area works perfect.
Fun fact, you can pay a one time fee of $15 and get 50gb of hotspot data. I logged into myAT&T one day and saw a notification telling me “pay $15 and upgrade your hotspot data to 50gb”. If you do that, you’ll essentially have unlimited premium but with the benefit of free HBO max
@@evanstelly7404 actually that $15 for hotspot that you are talking about is not permanent, meaning if you already consume the additional gb for hotspot it will be back at 40gb, so changing to premium is the practical way + a data speed that cannot be slow down.
Don't forget ATT caps their international, $10 a day at 10 days or $100. You'll never get charged anymore than that if you go over 10 days. Also, ATT's signature discount, which is as simple as having a Krogers/giant eagle/get go card in my area, and probably others in your area, that gives you $10 off PER line on Premium, so you get Premium for extra price.
I don’t really care about the differences between their unlimited plans. I’m happy with Tmobile but you have to look at which one provides the best service for your area. Verizon used to be number one around where I live now but Tmobile killed them off. They bought up all the sprint towers turn them into towers. I’m in like one of the strongest Areas for 5G where I live which is like the highest signal that the tower puts out I can download it like 300 MB or upwards to 300 depending on how many devices I’m using but yeah, I like it depends on your service like up in Illinois where my stepson lives AT&T is the best service provider up there here in Florida. It’s Tmobile hands-down.
I've been eyeing the T-Mobile Magenta Max plan for a while, but was told by a friend that AT&T had better coverage in the area, basically central valley of California. I viewed your coveragemap webpage that you provided and it reinforced AT&T having a wider and better area coverage. The data speed though, stated T-Mobile having 2-3x the data speed. I really want the fastest data speed possible, but with no coverage (lack of coverage) - data speed means nothing right? It's a no brainer to just settle down with AT&T on this one? 😢 slower speed > lack of coverage. No point in fastest data speed when you aint got signal right? I'm fighting myself here.
Just switched from mint unlimited to tmobile max. Spend less time at home due to work and ate through data. I really like mint but I would feel my network slow down a lot to where I couldnt access anything. Tmobile has some good coverage here in dfw texas where att was missing, surprisingly.
@Liam McBride yeah but t mobile carriers get data priority over mint mobile when in public. It's def noticeable for me. That being said, I'm still prob gonna stick with mint mobile
@@rithe07 Honestly, Mint Mobile is a hell of a good deal if you don't use much cellular data, but I use ~100GB per month so having T-Mobile Postpaid makes a lot of sense for me
T-Mobile doesn’t get service where I live, so I’m stuck between AT&T and Verizon. For additional perks, we’re on Verizon with the mid level one, and I don’t mind paying a tad more for the one that has the Disney bundle.
I'm also paying monthly and if it is cheaper at at&t I'm going with them to pay to own along with the phone bill!!!! I feel at&t will be cheaper tho but with verizon I get 100 gb of Hotspot that's hard to pass up!!!!
don't know if you'd include this on a future post, but MM also has the ability to add free lines to the account. my family member has MM with a total of 8 lines. That is is less than $20 per line. You CANNOT beat that deal. this all started from the T-Mobile thread on Reddit a few years back. Sure, areas with bad T-Mobile signal would suck, but if you're in a metro area, you are GOLDEN.
I used to work for T-Mobile. Shady company that will absolutely take advantage of their employees but I have to give it to them, Magenta Max is the best phone plan I've just about ever seen. The only things that were better was when we could get unlimited everything and a new phone subsidized for 2 years at $80. People dropped the ball on that one demanding no contracts lol. Now it's like 80$ + 30 for your phone LOL
I just got my Sims card from AT&T and I'm paying to own my Samsung galaxy s23 from Verizon the bill is 100 something I'm gunna talk to AT&T and show them the Sims card I was told I can do that through them so ima see and if not ima stick with verizon a part of me wants to stay with verizon it's expensive but I do love them I'll go talk to verizon first tho!!! Ether way I'll pay for whatever I just hear AT&T is cheaper!!!!!!
I've got question to all Tmobile Magenta/Magenta Max customers: do you notice that connectivity becomes an issue with Tmobile every time during fog, rain, and tall buildings? and would want to hear if weather conditions affect Verizon connectivity as well?
We switched our family plan to T-Mobile a couple of years back due to their attractive pricing. We immediately got dropped calls and switched back to AT&T.
I work at the Apple Store, and I notice that the trade in deals change often (I’ve seen T mobile be up to 1000). BUT T mobile for example will make people pay like $1000 as a down payment for their financing, it’s crazy
And if someone has a massive down payment that cuts into the promo credits they'll receive, they get that amount back as a lump sum credit on either the first or second bill
Its all based on credit. Either when you open an account with tmobile its based off your existing credit or if youre an existing tmobile customer your down payment is now based on how well you’ve been paying your bill on time with tmobile .
Kinda crazy how much phone plans are. Luckily I'm only paying $20 a line for T-Mobile and that's unlimited everything even hotspot. I will never let this plan go lol.
Can anyone confirm if going with the AT&T trade in promo, you can’t unlock the phone because you are under a 3 year term. Anyone know if we can pay the phone off early at once with Verizon or T-Mobile?
I am very happy with T-Mobile works great a home and abroad. Had Verizon and it was way to expensive and horrible service and horrible customer service. T-Mobile customer service has been great and price is unbeatable!
I just left T-mobile yesterday and joined AT&T. T-mobile is like the Walmart of carriers...big but average. Their service wasn't bad, but their data seemed to get slow after a while. When I was with Sprint before the merge, my coverage and data seemed fine with many perks Sprint offered. When my account was switched to T- mobile during the merge, that's when I noticed the difference in service AND I lost my Sprint perks. AT&T offered me a $800 trade in with an old Samsung S9 I had, so I got the S23 ultra for $11 a month (could have gotten a regular S23 for free) $10 off my bill with auto pay and because I'm a teacher I get 23% off my bill. Can't beat that with a stick....
Only problem with T-Mobile is that depending on where you live. Are you getting good service from the towers that they use? Because where I live the service really does suck and not worth the price that I pay for any of the plans and Verizon is straight up really price and I can meet AT&T in the middle for what it is. I can travel without any issues when I'm in the country side and there are little dead ends with service, but it quickly goes away after move away a few feet from where you're standing and RARELY come across those dead ends. So I would pick AT&T any of time of the day from the plans you have listed. T-Mobile might be Budget base, but not worth the crappy service in my area, Verizon is Verizon, and AT&T is alright. I do like the support that it gives, but it does become a bit pricey.
That might be with any carrier tbh. If you’re around a lot of other people you will likely have none/low service. Although I also use TMObile so maybe it actually is just a t-mobile problem?
I have T-Mobile and at&ts premium plans. T-Mobile is usually fine on it’s own, but for backup coverage, and for 2fa and work I use AT&T . Verizon is too expensive for what it offers and performance blows unless you have mid band 5g in your area
I tried TMO in my area, and it was very spotty, I've heard the same thing for AT&T. I've been using Verizon for years and over all their coverage in my state is very good. My wife needed to get a new phone (she was sporting a 6s forever), and with her phone, she is getting 5G in my house, trust me, that is a feat. I will be upgrading to a S23 Ultra. As they are offering me $800 for my Note 10+. Might as well.
No micro SD card anymore! And the ONLY good thing about them is the processors in them are faster. I've got 1.5 Tb on my note 20 ultra with 12gb of ram, and I just don't understand any of the 3 models released since my phone, because not a single one has more RAM or storage which makes no sense to me.
@@rileyesmay I was disappointed about the S23 offering no SD card and I was going pick up a used Note 20 Ultra but, Verizon offered me a free upgrade from 256gb to 512gb on the S23 Ultra. My Note 10+ has 256 with a 128gb SD card so upgrading and getting 512gb should hold me off for 3-5 years now. I also wanted to get a 120hz display that my Note 10 does not support. Even the Note 20+ Ultra only supports it at 1080p. The fast that they are giving me $800 for my phone and a free upgrade to 512gb its meaning the S23 Ultra with 12gb and 512gb of storage is costings me under $450 out of pocket, less money than a mint used Note 20+ Ultra would cost with 256gb of storage. Trust me, I was shopping before making the jump...
I own one is fantastic technologies, however at@t should be a shame....no unlimited plans available. I bought this device to replaced my home network. I used this device in europe with vodafone some months I get unlimited data plan for 39 euro. The regular plans are 200 gb data for 39 euro. The other problem is 6 and 6E is not ratfied standard. Every vendor implements the way they think until the real standard comes out. That is why there are some different vendors that are not compatible with each other. Intel and Netgear as example here. My laptop I bought intel AX210 Killer 1675x but can't see the 6 network on Netgear.
Tmobile really has been amazing since I switched in march. Im on magenta max 55+ with 2 lines. They gave us $1600 to pay off our iPhones from VZ. I get Apple Tv+, netflix, paramount plus for a year, Vix +, AAA for a year, and they have small perks with every tmobile tuesday. Ive had solid service everywhere and its $90 flat every month
I have T-Mobile and having no cap on data is AMAZING. All the others seem to have a cap at 20-40gb of high speed. I do like 500-600+gb a month and never slows down
*Love it*, though don't forget that Verizon throws in $200 vouchers, per line, which can reduce things overall. Also, 2x "family plans" are of interest for couples (without kids, or without kids yet - huge per line discounts if bundled internet, changes the math around a bit)
Hi @@danieltdavis9788 , I just wanted to let you know that with two lines on the Get More plan with 2 iPhone 14s with eligible trade-in and Verizon mobile protect Your bill would only be $194.56 + Taxes ( Pricing Includes Autopay & paper-free billing which is -$20 off the bill every month) However, that is only the start of it! You can also save an additional $25 every month if you are a veteran, first responder, nurse, student, or even a teacher! If you're not any one of those but know a close family member or friend, they can save you that $25 every month! All they would have to do is be an authorized user Also because we are doing a Buy more save more deal ( limited time offer) you can get two apple watches SE gen2 40mm and it would only raise the monthly bill from $194.56 to $204.56+Taxes As for instore cost that depends on your financing limit as well as Taxes & programming However, I want to let you know I receive nothing for this quote and only mentioned it so you can possibly save some money. I understand you're probably loyal to AT&T but I just wanted to spread some knowledge. I hope this information is helpful to either you or anyone who sees this comment I hope you have a blessed night and if you do decide to go through with this deal I hope your local Verizon store can be as helpful.
I have a Verizon Business Account. I do Gig work such as DoorDash and own a Computer Repair Business in Jacksonville FL. I use a lot of data between these two things and I have the Business Unlimited Pro plan on both my phones, and the Unlimited Tablet Pro plan on both of those as well. The coverage has been amazing throughout all my frequent travel journeys and the speeds are usually decent as well. The business reps at VZW have always been super helpful and have even given me some great discounts, so I’ll be sticking with them.
Stephen, thank you for your in-depth knowledge, and for sharing everything as succinctly as possible. I am looking for a data plan while traveling and have a question with regards to the options you laid out at the 14 minute mark of your video. In my case I have Verizon family plan with a limited data plan. You listed the US mobile unlimited basic and that it is $20 per person. Can I decide to just head on the US mobile unlimited, basic for just one person in the plan?
After watching this video last night. I went to my local t-mobile store and inquired about the magenta max military. Needless to say I will be sticking with my verizon 5g unlimited play more plan. The rep at T-mobile told me that even with my discount I would still be paying $90 per month. Verizon is still $10 cheaper taxes included. Not a fan of at&t, I have friends of mine who were on at&t and left because of all the issues they had with them. I also had at&t at one point and also had a few issues with them. No issues at all with verizon.
That's actually a good price. The disconnect with this video is he didn't specify these are prices without any phones or additional services like insurance. If they quoted you $90 that's your discount off the service along with your phone payment plan and insurance
And it sounds like you're on a Verizon plan that is discontinued...I have Verizon and while I'm pleased with cellular coverage, the data experience is inferior to T-Mobile. I can't stream higher than 720p even though my phone is capable of resolutions up to 2160p. The want me to pay an extra $10 per line. T-Mobile didn't charge extra. I'm moving back once I reach 50% of my two device payments...I'm gonna upgrade then return the unopened devices so I can switch without having to worry about carrying over Verizon devices. Don't wanna deal with switcher deals that pay off old devices.
@@bigrod997 oh, most definitely...grandfathered plans are legit...I hate I gave mine up when I switched from T-Mobile only to find that the most use feature wasn't comparable with VZW...don't switch if you don't have to regardless of the incentive

I’m team Magenta Max. 😄

I had Verizon and switched to t mobile because of the free international roaming. That part was great. Unfortunately the phone service itself did not compare Verizon. Had to switch back.
Glad To Hear it
I’m doing the same switching back 😂 or to att
I'm usually going to remote areas and I always have coverage with t mobile
@Gabriel Sasala depending on state to state
I'm glad you spotlighted T-Mobile's 24mo financing at multiple stages because it really makes a difference if you want to upgrade to a new phone or add new lines for promotions frequently.
T mobile is a loser cell phone company.
They will lure you in and then screw you later.
Never trust trump mobile!
@makaeo808 Do you happen to have another code?
@Mario Medrano Sorry. I've been waiting to see if they would send me another but no dice.
Store reps asked me how I got mine though, and at the time ~3-4mos ago, they said they also had insider codes, so you might ask a store rep and see if they have any they can use for you...I think they use it as a deal closer so if you make your new account look attractive then pull back at the last moment and ask about the insider code I think they'd be likely to give you one if they have one available. I think they look for 4+ line accounts.

@@lon3wolfexe816AT&T only has free data in Latin American countries, T-Mobile has 5gb of free data in over 215 international countries
But he said towers pal
I have that and my bill is starting to come over a 100 bucks now so maybe I need to go have a talk with them or just move on lol
Verizon gives you 10% off with eligible company. And interesting, with I tried negotiating with them, there were extremely rude, and hung up on. That is one company that can go bankrupt, and I’ll through a party
@@matthewjohnston7071 Verizon only gives discounts on the unlimited plans to first responders or military.
@@shortbutsweet if you get their internet you also get another 25% off unlimited plans

Verizon also has 55+
Also very interesting right now is that if you need 3 or 4 lines, then the Max is better priced than the Max 55+ because the Max gives you the 3rd line for free.
Darn, I have to wait another 5 years… 😰
What perks do you feel like you're missing from the normal MAX plan? The only difference is 55+ MAX can only have 4 lines where as the normal MAX can have 12. Other than that they should be 100% identical.
Another plus for T-Mobile is the Insider Discount you can usually get if you're porting from ATT, VZW. or a cable company. That's 20% off the Magenta Max plan for life. It also stacks with the free 3rd line too.
How do you get that?
@@garzdiva Oh, gotcha!
I had ATT forever and I switched to Visible over a year ago. I still pay 25/mo when they used to do a party pay discount. I drop less calls than I did with ATT here in SC. I love how streamline their app is and the overall simple experience.
AT&T
Still have Att
Whhhat? Fucing AT&T DISABLE ALL 2/3G GSM network in February 2022!!!
AT&T is getting very horrible in Dallas suburbs, very pricey , no value for money. Hence , switching to T Mobile. If T not good, will switch to Verizon until Att improves😊
AT&T and Verizon are horrible in DFW area (Dallas) with their LTE. T-Mobile LTE works best here. Their 5G coverage can't be beat also.
@@mlhighlightsyt #1 problem with T-Mobile is signal indoors , where as AT&T and Verizon can even work in elevators.

We pay $90 for 2 lines (magenta max for 55+) and $30 for wifi from T mobile. All working extremely well, and no contract.
The customer service is by far number one for me t mobile sucks is like metro pcs and att is okay but Verizon is really fast and good
Hey guys, I work at T-Mobile, little insider…. If you switch carriers, ask the store rep if they have insider codes available (3 per rep). It will get you 20% off magenta max for life and is stackable with other promos.
Just switched over from att premium plan to tmobile magenta max. So far i love it. Especially since im military and deploy often
@Chezco IMO here :D
I have T-Mobile Magenta but live in Nebraska💀💀💀
Coverage is great in Lincoln & Omaha but everywhere else is bad. They put me on Data Roaming from Viaero or US Cellular whenever I leave city limits. Other then that, great service!
Very Informative! The only problem i have with this video is that it doesn’t include automatic payment discounts from any of the providers. They are a lot more competitive than you would think!
This is true. Also, I have paper free billing on Verizon and save $20 a month ($10 each line).
I live in rural Georgia so Tmobile is basically non existent here, the only options for me are Verizon or At&t.
Dang. I was moved to t-mobile because of the merger with sprint. They’ve honored my previous plan and added features, but kept the same price 😊
Just do research in your area to find out which ACTUALLY is the best for you and what you use your plan for
Yes, very area dependent
For sure. In Washington T-Mobile is generally better, but in Oregon Verizon/ATT is better. Just how it is, even if its a $10 a month plan, it isn't really worth the hassle of not being able to send messages at home or in your local area
What's your location code
It's not cheaper trust me. I pay 328 fir 3 lines all phones payed off.
Living in Maine, AT&T is the strongest choice, hands down
I have the phased out Unlimited Elite plan, which is the Unlimited Premium now minus 10 GB of Hotspot data (40 GB) and was given HBO Max (no free trial).
I’d have to go with verizon, the price is worth it in cell service. I don’t know if I was unlucky, but I rarely ever had service with T-Mobile.
I have AT&T because of their discounts for your job. And it works in more places that I go compared to T-Mobile who I switched from
I've been eyeing the T-Mobile Magenta Max plan for a while, but was told by a friend that AT&T had better coverage in the area, basically central valley of California.
AT&T’s Unlimited Premium plan when Roaming is a flat rate of $10 per day unlimited data.( I just went to Europe for Christmas & New Years. )
Just switched from mint unlimited to tmobile max. Spend less time at home due to work and ate through data. I really like mint but I would feel my network slow down a lot to where I couldnt access anything. Tmobile has some good coverage here in dfw texas where att was missing, surprisingly.
Mint Mobile was using T-Mobile anyway so your coverage essentially stayed the same
@Liam McBride yeah but t mobile carriers get data priority over mint mobile when in public. It's def noticeable for me. That being said, I'm still prob gonna stick with mint mobile
@@rithe07 Honestly, Mint Mobile is a hell of a good deal if you don't use much cellular data, but I use ~100GB per month so having T-Mobile Postpaid makes a lot of sense for me
If you have a work discount or are a student you can get AT&T Premium for the price of the Extra, great value imo
The vet discount on T-Mobile for the family plan really is a win. Less then $200 a month for 4 people I mean come on that’s a good deal
That is only if you have bad credit
And if someone has a massive down payment that cuts into the promo credits they'll receive, they get that amount back as a lump sum credit on either the first or second bill
Its all based on credit. Either when you open an account with tmobile its based off your existing credit or if youre an existing tmobile customer your down payment is now based on how well you’ve been paying your bill on time with tmobile .
Kinda crazy how much phone plans are. Luckily I'm only paying $20 a line for T-Mobile and that's unlimited everything even hotspot. I will never let this plan go lol.
AT&T worker here, the max trade ins for the holiday season RN is 1000$ with a trade in worth 230 or more.
Actually, you can upgrade every year with T-Mobile if you purchase the insurance with the phone which is an additional $18 a month
That’s good to know! Sounds a bit expensive to me though. I think I’d rather upgrade every 2 years.
@@StetsonDoggett not expensive at all. they let you turn in your phone without paying it off.
That is all of them lol. Here VErizon is terrrible and every claims they are the best anytime.
As far as I am aware, my dad put us all on AT&T Unlimited Elite (before it became Premium) when we switched from Sprint/T-Mobile.
What carrier has the best coverage??? I have T-Mobile and I don’t get service at a NASCAR track like Bristol Motor speedway. 😢
That might be with any carrier tbh. If you’re around a lot of other people you will likely have none/low service. Although I also use TMObile so maybe it actually is just a t-mobile problem?
@@swank1957 yea i think I’ma try a new carrier for my next iPhone
Be me pays for metro grandfather plan but an support person upgraded it to unlimited so I pay 25 for unlimited data a month
Basically choose at&t if you want to get robbed
I have T-Mobile and having no cap on data is AMAZING. All the others seem to have a cap at 20-40gb of high speed. I do like 500-600+gb a month and never slows down
*Love it*, though don't forget that Verizon throws in $200 vouchers, per line, which can reduce things overall. Also, 2x "family plans" are of interest for couples (without kids, or without kids yet - huge per line discounts if bundled internet, changes the math around a bit)
I’m on att now paying $251 for 2 lines. That includes 2 iphones w/ insurance & the old next up plan
Hi @@danieltdavis9788 ,
I just wanted to let you know that with two lines on the Get More plan with 2 iPhone 14s with eligible trade-in and Verizon mobile protect
Your bill would only be $194.56 + Taxes ( Pricing Includes Autopay & paper-free billing which is -$20 off the bill every month)
However, that is only the start of it! You can also save an additional $25 every month if you are a veteran, first responder, nurse, student, or even a teacher!
If you're not any one of those but know a close family member or friend, they can save you that $25 every month! All they would have to do is be an authorized user
Also because we are doing a Buy more save more deal ( limited time offer) you can get two apple watches SE gen2 40mm and it would only raise the monthly bill from $194.56 to $204.56+Taxes
As for instore cost that depends on your financing limit as well as Taxes & programming
However, I want to let you know I receive nothing for this quote and only mentioned it so you can possibly save some money.
I understand you're probably loyal to AT&T but I just wanted to spread some knowledge.
I hope this information is helpful to either you or anyone who sees this comment
I hope you have a blessed night and if you do decide to go through with this deal I hope your local Verizon store can be as helpful.
@@danieltdavis9788 and on t mobile it would be even less than Verizon. I’m sure of that. I have Verizon but about to switch
As a truck driver traveling form California to Texas back and forth. At&t was the best for me.
AT&T smashes everyone. NO DATA CAP on max monthly bois. Fast af $55 a month with auto pay.
T MOBILE FOR THE WIN THANK YOU MY NEXT CELLPHONE PROVIDER
I’m on T-Mobile magenta max. $65/mo. Taxes included. I was with AT&T ninety something dollars per per month.
Thanks for the video .. What about using Xfinity Mobile?
I'm satisfied with T-Mobile and love their perks and deals. At&t is awesome with their internet. But Verizon is most the premium of them all
You should make a video comparison the best prepaid cellular plans. For me that’s where it’s at.
@@Maino_13 The incentive to switch just isn't there. My plan with verizon is cheaper so why switch.
@@bigrod997 oh, most definitely...grandfathered plans are legit...I hate I gave mine up when I switched from T-Mobile only to find that the most use feature wasn't comparable with VZW...don't switch if you don't have to regardless of the incentive
I had all of them and I prefer AT&T as in my experience they have better rural coverage than Verizon or T-Mobile,I drivectruck for 23 years, that’s why I tried them all 😐
I work for T-mobile and we actually offer up to 1000$ in trade in for iPhones and other devices and that’s at essentials plan.
Also should note which carriers lock the phones. I’m on ATT and I can’t use another plan internationally because I’m financing with them with the $800 trade in deals
Yeah, I can’t wait for my iPhone 15 pro bro
