I recently tried T-Mobile for five days and had to switch to AT&T, due to voice calls being very important, I experienced too many dropped calls and some other calls were static also in some spots I had great signal outdoors but when inside buildings their internet was so slow & laggy. Okay, so where do you find those maps. I have been to t-mobile web site and input a city and state. Then scrolled in on their map to check out the coverage. You can turn off the layers. I see that t-mobile uses others to boost the signal in mountainous areas.
So, I guess my question is, how do I really figure out the coverage if I’m not with that certain carrier?

Should have covered the lower tier plans for both. While the top two plans are great, they do cost a bit more and frankly I’d be over paying as I wouldn’t be using them to their full potential. Why are perks so important? Every review touts them. Perks make no difference in my choice of carriers.

All depends where you live and who is the best carrier in said place. My recommendation is only buy unlocked smart phones and devices as you never know what these carriers will change or how mergers can end up covering more area...in my area (Seattle/Bellevue) and most of Washington state at&t is complete shit and garbage for coverage. Verizon was the best like 7 years ago. Tmobile was ranked 4th and sprint was ranked second. But now sprint and Tmobile merged and verizon coverage is shit in comparison.

I have T-mobile which I had no choice but to take because of the Sprint takeover. I had great coverage in my are here in Loudoun County Virginia until I put the T-mobile Sim card in my device. My coverage dropped 50% when I switched. Yesterday I went to Costco and the AT&T rep offered me a free Samsung Galaxy s 24 plus and a free IPhone 15 plus with my wife and I 2 phones being traded in. I'm seriously thinking about it as from the information I gathered AT&T's 4G service is more widely available. If you know anything about 5G you know that it takes time to get a good enough signal for optimal 5G performance but 4G is available at optimal performance all across the U.S. with AT&T. Let me also state I've had issues with T-mobile in regards to customer service and it took me 3 months to resolve the issues which is entirely to long. Well that's my spill on this topic.

AT&T is getting stuck behind as the company is stuck in the past. They are not innovating like T-Mobile and Verizon, and they are catering to the older generations.... however, today's and future generations are entering the market and have better options through T-Mo and Vz. I have AT&T and share the plan with my parents, but I have a grandfathered deal that I have no intentions of leaving... but if I were to be in the market today for a new phone company, I'd go with T-Mobile. You get a lot more bang for your buck through them.

As a person who drives a lot att may say they have 4G coverage their signal is so weak a lot of times it just doesn’t work, shouldn’t be able to say you have coverage if it doesn’t work.

Tmobile is all about "coverage" not capacity. Tmobile has proficiently spammed free phones to everyone man, woman, child and beast on their metro network. If you live in an area with lots of metro users, forget it. It's death by 1,000 cuts. Even though im paying close to double, for "unlimited premium data," at peak hours the network is nearly unusable. Download speeds get resuced by 80% but what kills it is the upload speed, it craters to 0.00 and maybe a blip of 0.02-0.04
Trying to do anything requiring any upload bandwith just won't happen, by 11pm-12am it will ease up a bit, but it's still not great. After 12 it starts to get better. Sometimes I can switch to 4g and it might get a little better.
Eevry map is going to say im covered, 5GUC but the network just doesn't have the capacity to handle the glut of free 5g phones they hand out like trick or treat candy on the metro network.

T moblie, gives perks because their coverage still sucks in rural areas. At&t , is overall the better phone carrier despite not offering much of anything, but phone coverage and fiber. And drop the latest numbers
At&t is America largest phone 📱 carrier with over 200 million customers. SO T MOBLIE, AS TO DO MORE to catch up. Parkers isn't it. Ita about coverage and service.

My friend had AT&T and he'd drop calls all the time right here in Los Angeles with 3 or 4 bars, I think it was when switching cell towers. He'd be on the freeway and lose a call half a dozen times on a 5 mile trip. He's on Verizon now and never drops calls, and will never go back to AT&T. I switched to Verizon 24 years ago. I sure hate the cost though, especially now that I live on Social Security. Miss Modest WhistleOut there thinks the bottom tiers are junk. I want to see her try to live on $1500 a month and then see what she says. This review was useless to me.

I switch from T-Mobile to AT&t and I am not happy, AT&t was good for just my internet but combining that with a cell phone plan was a terrible idea. Their customer service is a mess, they're online interface and infrastructure is god-awful too. Data speeds are far slower on AT&t, and my Samsung Galaxy 22 ultra costly loses connection with the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. I don't know if it's because of the carrier I got the phone on or what, but the Samsung Galaxy s22 ultra is terribly overrated 🫡👑
