- Vegetable pulao is everyone's go to food. Now, made even easier by cooking it in the microwave, this dish doesn’t lose any flavour.
VEGETABLE PULAO IN MICROWAVE
Ingredients
½ small cauliflower, cut into small florets
5-6 French beans, cut into ½ inch pieces
1 medium carrot, peeled and cut into small pieces
1½ cups basmati rice, soaked for 30 minutes
2 tablespoons ghee
1 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
5-6 black peppercorns
3-4 green cardamoms
1 inch cinnamon
1 bay leaf
Salt to taste
2-3 tablespoons frozen green peas
Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing
Method
1. Mix together ghee, cumin seeds, peppercorns, green cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon and bay leaf in a large microwave proof bowl and cook in microwave on high (100%) for 1 minute.
2. Add cauliflower florets, French beans, carrot, drained rice, 3 cups water and salt and mix. Cover with a cling film, prick using a knife and cook in microwave on high (100%) for 12-14 minutes.
3. Discard the cling film, add green peas, mix, again cover with a cling film and cook in microwave on high (100%) for 1 minute.
4. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.

Sir pls tell me what is high power?Mine micro is koryo 900 wtt. Not understanding high power. There r no high power button as per my knowledge. Where to find cling foil. Aluminum foil will not serve the purpose, so what else to do.pls suggest me.

No, we can not use aluminum foil as it is metal so it will give short cercuit and it will damage your microwave and it may burn all your house electrical wiring and all other electrical items.

Or if u have doubts then u can try by soaking one spoon of rice for 20 or 30 minutes then take out the rice n put in a microwave usable plastic or glass bowl n then add two spoons of water n cover with cling film n keep in your microwave at highest temperature for 10 minutes and then take out n do not open at once, keep it rest for again around 10 minutes and then u open n check.

For me yes. I live alone and it's very helpful for me. And I'm health concious too. So I can easily make less oil food

What kinds of materials we can use to cover the bowl for microwave oven.
As mentioned in the video, you can use transparent cling-foil. If that's not available, you can cover the bowl with a big-enough microwave-safe plate made of either glass or plastic. However, make sure to keep some outlet for the air to pass.
No chillies or anything is added for spiciness.
Also onions are not added.
I'm sure it's going to taste super bland & incipient.

You can use a transparent microwave safe lid or any bowl to cover it.
