Thanks for the detailed video Ian. I have been on the fence about buying these lights for a while and have watched a ton of videos. I also have a OLED (Sony) TV and was unsure about using these lights on it, but watching your video convinced be to take the jump.
Questions, does it turn on and off with your TV or do you need to do that on and off manually? Good thing about simple USB light is they already do this when the TV powers down.
I had bought these and my cat chewed them 😓 is there a replacement strip that is compatible? I might have found some other Govee lights that can plug into USB on the controller but idk if they'll work the same?
Can you address the clockwise counter clockwise strip placement? Is it as viewed from the back of the tv or from the front as per the arrows of direction?
No they didn’t - it does say to be careful with them and remove them slowly so you don’t damage the display. I’ve calibrated my bedroom tv twice without issue
I've bought this for my 55" Samsung QLED and it's too big. The side strips and the top and bottom strips are longer than the tv's size so they stick out the tops and sides and overlap on the corners.... Haven't installed it yet because of this. Plus the fact that the tv while not being as thin as yours is still far too thin to attach the camera..
I also have a Samsung QLED 55" TV. The strips do overlap but they don't go beyond my TV. I was able to install the 2" from the TV edges without issue. Just strap down the wire that sticks out at the edges so you see none of those wires from the front of your TV
Btw you should remove the protective film on the back of your tv. That big surface is used to cool the oled panel.

Just got this for 52 gbp on there website by far the cheapest out on the market atm hopefully it will look good on my sky glass tv
will this work with a 70inch lmk asap ???
Is it work with 49 inch tv.
Hi. Your led strip looks short to the corners. Looks similar to mine but im sure ive ordered the wrong size or are they just like that
Thanks
Hello , do i always need to have wifi connection or only while im calibrating camera ? thank you
How do you get that calibration screen? So the tv turned off right?
where do you get new orange foam stickies to recalibrate?
This or the Govee T2?
Does it have a remote besides the app?

I can’t recall if they do - I have mine connected via Alexa so I tell her to turn them on before I turn on the TV.
Hello.whats the optimal.distance from wall for better immersion?thank you

Do we need to remove the brown stickers over there???
Lol due to how is set up the colors at time aren't right and has lag
Would this work with a curve tv u think???
It would as long as you can fit it in during calibration. Mounting may be an issue like mine was but it can sit on the bottom of the TV

Back of the tv
What TV stand do you use?
Looks like the echogear. Look it up. It’s pretty good.
If I buy this for my 24 inch moniter can I cut the strips to make them fit? Will they still work like normal?
Late comment but there’s some made for 24-32 inch monitors if you’re looking for that still
Hello, is it compatible with Netflix, Amazon, Disney Plus? thanks.
Huh ofc
Will the 55-65 inch kit work on my 70 inch TV?
It might, I had some extra room on my 65” but I’d def recommend getting the larger version so it fits properly.
Quick question. Can the camera be mounted to the bottom of the TV?
Yes.
Great video. I’m reading the lights aren’t long enough for 65” tv’s. What size is yours? You didn’t seem to have any issue.
I did notice it wasn’t long enough at the bottom but that was because of the curve on my TV and the stand I was using. I have a 65”
I have a 65 no issues here
What stand is that?
Did the orange calibration pads damage anything?
No they didn’t - it does say to be careful with them and remove them slowly so you don’t damage the display. I’ve calibrated my bedroom tv twice without issue
Suddenly it strikes me.... Do you need a smart TV? Because I have an old LG 3d TV without internet
Nope you don’t need a smart tv. The lights do need internet to use the app though.
Can u remove the camera or does it have to stay?
In order to use the immersion you need the camera - other lighting effects don’t require it.

Having to loop the corners is ridicules. There are some that have square corners which is a much cleaner look and makes more sense.
enough with the unboxing it is a box nothing more. So tired of people showing the box, it gets thrown away after you install the device.
Why watch unboxing videos then? They have a different purpose than just demonstration videos
it shows the box so you know its the right one you got
