  • I have been using this Maono mic (geni.us/7BZGke2 (Amazon)) for about a year now and LOVE it. I already did a review for this mic but this video shows the whole kit and has another look after I have been using this for about a year.

    the microphone I must admit, sounds good. but, there is like microphonic sounds coming from it. I first heard it when you placed the filter over the mic, then when you say certain words, you hear that resonance coming from the mic

    I would love to know how it performs at a lower gain level. I usually keep my knob at around 30-40 pct rather than full

    This is the cheap and best studio setup I ever viewed.

    I bought this mic today and I'm a little confused. Is it normal for the gain to be all the way up (48v On) so that I can hear normally? (I'm with Scarlett Solo 3gen)

      Personally I ALWAYS prefer XLR mics over USB mics. I find USB mics often have electronic interference. XLR mics with a good mixer or audio interface offer a bit more flexibility and better audio quality in my opinion.

      You can with a few adapters, but trust me, when I did it stopped working after a month or so(kept giving only buzzing sound no sound)- I upgraded to an audio interface connected to my mixer which I had already. I then route the USB from the audio interface to my computer- 100% the best way for best customization and best sound quality.

      @@frube671 Personally as I have it, I would go with the Behringer UMC 2, but if you're recording with a friend in your mixer, and want two separate tracks to be recorded on your DAW at the same time, the focusrite scarlet 2i2 is probably gonna be better. But, as a person who tends to record each part one at a time I got the Behringer UMC 2.

      @@revonis7234 hey is this mic good if paired with behringer umc22? im going to record rap vocals do you think maono au-pm320s and behringer um2/umc22 good?

    • @revonis7234
      @revonis7234 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@shyshyalt Well, I actually I've upgraded to the AT2020 with the scarlet 2i2. If you're wanting to really pursue rapping I would get the scarlet 2i2- its so much better and has way more features than I thought. The mic is decent but its a condenser so you need sound suppression or a quiet house. Search for a dynamic mic if that's not the case. In my case with the AT2020 condenser mic, I just tell my family to quiet down and then record guitar/vocals and it works out. I'd go for this mic if that's the case for you and pair it up with even a scarlet solo for rapping purposes cause your probably by yourself. If you don't wanna pay that much you could go for the Behringer, and although it would work its not that reliable in the long run and has bad background noise.
