I've done pinion angle before on my 86 and I had no idea what I was doing. I finally figured out out after 3 days of research and adjusting and painful hours of jacking up the car and test drives. Lol

Ditto. It took a LONG time and A LOT of research before I remotely understood what to do.

Thank you for the kind words and support. I believe Modception can build you a custom rear end and ship world wide

Awesome information guys! I am replacing the driveshaft on my AE86 with a one piece. I am struggling with pinion angle. I can't get the trans angle lower than 5.0 degrees (down). But- with the adjustable 4 links I was able to match the angle at the diff at 5.0 degrees( up). The one piece driveshaft angle came in at 4.2 down. Will this work? I would love to know your opinion.

Leave the trans alone. Measure at the output shaft. Match that measurement at the diff. Equal, but opposite ie. if your trans is 4 degrees down, your diff should be 4 degrees up.

What about traction bracket? Will them help or not with oem links.

Yes traction brackets will help with oem 4 links

Is this a shop that fixes Corolla?

Not bad, but you guys didn't cover the UJ Working angle. It's all good that the front and rear are 'opposite and equal' but the UJ Angles should be between 1.5° and 3°, and within .5° total difference for a vibration free ride.

Thanks for the feedback. My understanding of pinion/driveline angles are very basic and I would love to see a video on this topic (And specifically for this chassis) made by someone who has a mastery.
Another thing to note on this chassis is that the rear diff flange is biased to the passenger side which adds to the working angles as noted by Assassin10000

Looks like not all AE86 have a One Piece shaft, JDM Zenki have a two pieces shaft

No AE86 came factory with a 1 piece driveshaft. People usually go 1 piece as upgrade or during an engine/trans conversion
