Great video. Explained in a way that is easy to understand. This is the best ceramic coating video I have seen that does not scare me away from doing it myself 😀
Very good video Nick. I’ve watched it a few times as I want to make sure I have the steps down. I’ve recently purchased the Mckees37 ceramic coating and other products as well to do our new black Bronco Sport. Looking forward to it. Thanks for all your videos. Keep up the good work!
at the 10:15 mark, what's in your bucket that you're dunking the Clay mitt into? I didn't hear you say and will try this, once I can get each product, except the Foam gun. I'll use my Foam Pro 12, instead. That's OK, as a substitute, right?
That is one thing I always do when I put anything in a sprayer. I like to add the water first. Even stuff not a soap or shampoo or automotive chemical can give you a ton of suds. I find it easier to add the stuff to the water and GENTLY swirl the contents of the container to get it mixed. I learned that when trying to get ready to spray those pesky weeds in the driveway.
@mckees37 Great video, just what you need for DIY. Thank you. Can I apply the ceramic coating from this kit to the glass (windshield and all the rest)?
Great question, Mike. This formula was developed so only ONE coat is needed. Applying multiple coats will pose the risk of having too thick a film build is susceptible to water spots. Stick with ONE coat. - Nick @ McKee's 37
So Nick I notice you got a stack of orange microfiber towels I know they ain't cheap to buy from you like you buy them from Walmart what do you do with the ones are used do you throw them away or you clean them with some special cleaning agent? You said don't use the same towel on other area panels of the car if the towel gets to the point its not clean anymore and to use as much clean towels as you can that's a lot of microfiber towels to use. Also what do you do with the dirty polishing pads you use on the porter cable polisher do you throw them away or do you clean them and save them for later use? In all the videos that i seen you go thru using pads and micro fiber towels i don't think i seen you once mention what you do with the used cloths and pads?
I just clayed my car with old fashioned clay. It probably didn't really need it but I just picked the car up a couple months ago. Does the clay mitt give you the same feedback that a bar of clay does? The feedback as in you can feel it glide more smooth over the paint after it pulls contaminants.
How long did it take you to do all those steps... I did my vehicle it took me 4 hrs.. also can you wash those buffing pads or do u replace them all the time... is that buffer on sale as well...
@@McKees37 Man you have a lot of motivation will to work that many hours on one car. If i had to detail someones car for that long you best bet i would charge a lot of money for that job.

It was great to meet you at the car show today Nick. I’m home and prepping the ST now. 👍🏼

Hey Nick can you give us a tutorial on how to polish and how to clean out pads in between passes? Maybe using a 1 step or all in 1. Thanks.
That was a good purchase in excellent condition. Now it is really ready to shine. Enjoy the Florida sunshine this winter!

Do you discard towels and applicators after applying the ceramic coat?
I love seeing a Miata well cared for. I thoroughly enjoy my 1997 I have owned since 2004.
Nick, stellar results, the paint really opus, and that is a difficult color to get to pop, some amazing work and products.

Coating Prep Auto Wash is in the bucket.
You can use a Foam Pro 12!

Very nice system. The new iron remover is a winner.

How does Fast Polish compare to M205. Also how does the white pad you are using compare to a yellow Rupes pad.
Great video! How is the Mazda doing these days?
Is this safe for headlights, trim, glass?
Is the coating ONLY done inside a garage? Is this coating not suitable to be applied outdoor or under the Sun?
Hi Nick, nice job! Can (or should) you apply a second coat of your coating? If so, how long should you wait after the first coat?
Great question, Mike. This formula was developed so only ONE coat is needed. Applying multiple coats will pose the risk of having too thick a film build is susceptible to water spots. Stick with ONE coat. - Nick @ McKee's 37
Can you use the ceramic coating on windshield?
Is there any benefit to doing a second coating

Great question. No, the clay mitt does not provide the same feedback as the clay bar. That is one of the disadvantages of the clay mitt.
Hey Nick after you ceramic coat your vehicle what do you use for maintenance after you wash the vehicle what kind of detail spray
Hi Chris. I would recommend using Ceramic Auto Wash and Hydro Blue PRO. Stay tuned for a separate video on that process. - Nick
Hi there, just watched your video..... I have a 2012 Corvette Grand Sport. Noticed there are a some swirls in the paint. Will this process fix that?
Hi Tracy. You'll want to incorporate our Complete Swirl Remover as an additional step in this process to remove all the swirl marks. - Nick
So clean!
